Misa - bassist Miku - rhythm guitar and backup vocal Akane - drummer Saiki - lead vocalist Kanami - lead guitarist I found them out this year and have been addicted to every song they've made. It's getting unhealthy, haha. If we're going down the rabbit hole that's Band Maid live performance, I recommend "Don't You Tell Me", and "Onset"!
Another great reaction. Lead guitarist, Kanami, was trained from a very early age as a concert pianist. She decided to switch to guitar and start rockin' in high school. She composes the music for the songs. Rhythm guitarist, Miku, writes most of the lyrics.
Rather than train as a concert pianist, she basically took piano lessons from a young age. So did Akane and MISA. Kanami’s parents did not want her to be a musician. She persevered on the side while studying economics at University. She’s the only uni grad in the band.
Great reaction, Jamie. New subscriber here. Honestly, we "maidiacs" have a great time watching other people's jaw hit the floor, followed closely by a wall to wall shit eating grin. I'm actually a old music snob, as in hard core prog, jazz bop, etc. But these ladies are so good, and so much FUN to watch, it's just wonderful. They're a real mood-lifter, and you just can't help but grin no matter how many times you hear them. God knows we all need that right about now. Please do what you can to spread the word, as we all need them to succeed. Lord knows they've put in the time in the practice room. You'll get lots of suggested tracks, but I'll just throw in: Onset, Turn Me On, and Don't You Tell Me (important to watch the live versions).
Found Band Maid about a year ago they have no bad songs/sets You have about 75 more songs to get thru, I’m a 66 year old rock/metal head and this band is the real deal. Everyone in this band is their own equal and way more talent for their years. A friend of mine is a professional bass player, been in a number of bands, showed him this bands concert( sent away for the DVD) half way thru the concert he got up and bowed to the bass player and has studied MISO (bass player). He calls her his bass goddess. Try Puzzle, Play, Take Me Higher. Baby Metal is an musical act I’ve watched their shows they are entertaining. But Band Maid is a real rock/metal band I would sell my soul to go to one of their concerts. Great job look forward to more of you discovering this band!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Do yourself a REALLY big favour and order "World Domination [w/ Blu-ray, Limited Edition / Type A]"/ With it comes a supplementary blu ray with the entire live concert that includes this song. It is the best rock concert I ever heard. (it is sold out at most places however...)
Great reaction! I was waiting eagerly for this one. Yep, I think you're one of us now. Welcome to the Maidiacs (Band-Maid fans). "Moratorium" is an undeniable heavy-hitter in their extensive repertoire--especially for live shows. You are right that this song has everything. It's a masterpiece anthem that showcases Band-Maid's exceptional skill at engaging with their audiences. This is true with both large audiences and small intimate rock clubs and if you are interested in seeing what they are like in such a small club, I highly recommend checking out one of the best fan-cam recordings of them by the esteemed Vladimir Chupin: ua-cam.com/video/RxmRiWHZ3TI/v-deo.html which includes three really great songs: "Take Me Higher", "Freedom" and "Moratorium".
BAND-MAID so fckn amazing !! 🤘🏻🖤 Recomendations BAND-MAID live songs: Clang Dice Daydreaming Don't you tell Me Blooming Onset (this song is just instrumental but i swear your mind will explode 🤯🤯🤯)
So, Jamie, You think you could tell us how you really feel about this Band??? LOL!! A great reaction! This band just kicks ass for months. Do one react a day and you'll be two months out and still getting top quality rock all the way!!
Me again. They have a following of at least 2 million worldwide. and one to include you. Welcome to Band-Maid. may they stay strong and play long.! My dream is to see them live(just waiting for this stupid virus to go away). lol
Went to both NY shows last year, best damn live shows I have ever been to. They play for almost 2 hours non stop with insane energy the whole time compared to alot of other bands that can barely play an hour without looking bored. While their studio recordings are still just amazing. This band is 1000% about live shows, so energetic, stage presence is absolutely bonkers. Saiki demands your attention and you better give it, then add in Omajinai time and how they change sections of songs and add extra solos or guitar/bass battles. my god this band is amazing
I saw them in London last june, took a plane from Spain and back. I left with the impression that they had a better time than we public. They have FUN playing together.
Jamie, they are probably more well known internationally than they are in Japan. I saw them last September in Los Angeles, finishing their USA tour having finished their European tour. Whatever song that you are listening to is their best song. May I suggest Onset live, Secret My Lips live, Take Me Higher live, Don't You Tell Me live. They will leave you wanting more.
Not really, they got invited to play at Budokan in Tokio, next February which is like the accolade for musicians. You can't book it, you have to get invited. Says enough.
And i thought it was ME who get excited watching BandMaid ) LOL! Man, high five for such joy while reviewing ) You add even more coolness to the track even though its great by itself )
And they've come out in full force to stay connected to their fans during this whole quarantine deal. Posting daily videos of what's going on with them, funny stuff, what they're up to, and them playing (as a group or solo). Plus actual shows or performances and exclusive content etc. They are amazing to their fans.
"I can't get over this"... well I think the girls would love your reaction. They created the band and the concept with the intention to contrast how they look and how they sound (they call it "the gap") but the inmense talent and work capacity of each member, the chemistry between the girls and a lack of showing off absolutely unkown till now in the rock scene has elevate Band Maid to something unique, at the same time new but classic. At this point their creativity has get out of hand, three LPs in the last three years, near 90 songs in their cathaloge, from good to masterpiece. In some interviews they said that they write their songs thinking in the live shows... performances of two and a half hours. The result is obvious. Unbelivable.
yup nothing like the maids they are just awesome live and do 24-26 song sets. but one music video you should consider doing is the song 'dice'. probably the favorite song of about 75% of maid fans. don't miss it. the mv sound quality is great. and another mv that kicks ass is'real existence' from 2016
"They complement each other on a New Level"... I Guess that comment pretty much sums up the band. You have the base of the band: Akane and Misa who are so skilled and tight that it makes room for the other to shine on. Kanami is no exeption. Not the fastest guitarist, but good technique… And not at least a fantastic riff-maker and songwriter.
MISA!!!! MISA!!! MISA!!!!! Loving you reactions. You are dropping down the Band-Maid rabbit hole like the rest of us, lol Such good music. Hard Rock is still alive and made in Japan
You have barely scratched the surface of Band Maid. I would recommend the live versions of Take Me Higher, Turn Me On, and Don't You Tell Me, but I am afraid you will actually pass out.
They were about to play at Knotfest in Ohio and were set to play on stage right before Slipknot.. It would have opened new doors for them but it got cancelled due to Covid-19..
The Inkcarceration Festival that is scheduled for mid-July in Mansfield, OH is still on, according to the event organizer's fb page. There is really no hope I'll get to see Band-Maid there and I don't know why they are waiting to cancel the event. Knotfest in Japan was canceled, but in neither case was B-M scheduled to take the stage right before Slipknot. At Knotfest they were supposed to be the opening act for the festival, playing a 20 minute set at 11am. As for Inkcarceration, Slipknot was never part of the line-up...
@@johnmatthew102 knotfest japan rescheduled for jan 11th 2021 (well the only day worth going) babymetal, slipknot, anthrax, and BAND-MAID. might have to get my passport renewed :)
6:33 - They are already at the next level in that they just finished a sold out US and Europe tour. Whereas Babymetal might tease your ears with some sweet tinkling vocals before the Kami Band launch into their Metal godliness, Band-Maid nearly always come hurtling out with some slamming Rock right from the first note. 5:04 - They're channeling early Sabbath here! Their sets are a couple of hours long and are cut by Miku's cute chats with the audience while Babymetal have pared their set down to an hour now and Su never says more than a few lines to the audience. They are very different bands but both are stunning and brilliant in their own ways and in their own genres of music. Gotta love them both! Another great reaction and looking forward to more of both Band-Maid and Babymetal, as they both have large catalogues of songs, as well as live and studio versions. If you're looking for another Babymetal suggestion, then I'd still recommend the Black Night version of Catch Me If You Can, which should tick all your Babymetal boxes, as it has a storming intro by The Kami Band before the girls launch into the best Metal song about playing Hide and Seek ever! This version has English subtitles too: ua-cam.com/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/v-deo.html . Either that or their iconic performance at Sonisphere, in front of 65,000 Metal heads who hadn't heard of them, IDZ as it's usually shortened to: ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html . As for more Band-Maid, then just about all their songs are brilliant, especially live performances. The instrumental (no vocals at all on it) Onset is pretty sharp: ua-cam.com/video/roP4HFlGBUI/v-deo.html (lots and lots of lasers and lights!). Oh, and there's a bass, guitars and drum solo in it!
Cool reaction, this song hits hard and this band has a ridiculous good rythm section with how their drummer and bassist are. Think this one is very reminiscent of something like Motorhead because of their pace and how hard they play, then the breakdown is something like hearing Pantera. So yeah, insane band with ridiculous talented and skilled musicians. As for recommendation I suggest reacting to Onset or Puzzle, you might enjoy those as well. :)
I can't say that i hear any Pantera in that breakdown. To me it sounds like it's inspired by Soundgarden. If i had never heard this song before and i only got to hear that part of the song my first guess would probably be that it actually was Soundgarden.
Glad you're having fun with Band-Maid! They are truly amazing. One suggestion: When you pause, hit the back arrow to go back 5 seconds or the 'J' key to go back 10 seconds so you don't do things like pause 1 beat into the first chorus. This will make for a more pleasant experience for your listeners, and will prevent me from reaching through the interwebs and choking your ass. Otherwise, awesome reaction!
They are to me, the best band on the planet. Nobody sounds like them and never has. This song is a masterpiece of rock, like Ace Of Spades by Motorhead, or Whole Lotta Rosie by AC DC. They are phenomenal.
I honestly laughed at loud when JW lost it for the first time just a few seconds in... and that happened before MISA started the heavy base artillery. Saw them live in at a small club (about 350 people) in Hamburg, Germany last year and trust me: they really are this good live even without post-concert production! 🤘
Now that reaction is worth a subscription.... Watching you go down the rabbit hole is going to be fun... The pigeons of the world salute you. You will get that reference later.
Yeah, this band rock :) Given how much you seem to be loving the Japanese rock/metal, may I humbly suggest Ningen Isu? 30 years and 20+ albums worth of awesome. Maybe try a little tune by the name of Namahage. I can say with near certainty that you will not be disappointed.
They have a sound, a style which is uniquely there own. They take elements from so many genre's and blend it into there own thing,. I haven't been this enthralled by a band since I discovered Metallica many moons ago. These ladies are the real deal. 3 cd's + 3mini CD's + singles and B sides (over 80+ songs) to choose from, and IMO 85% top shelf music. They have this ongoing tour called "World Domination" (Dating from their 2018 CD "world domination") from 2018, but with every "leg" named accordingly... Invasion, domination, consolidation, conquorer (Name of their latest album-12/19) etc..... They actually have a goal to conquer the world with their music.
They are far and away the best band out there! My only complaint about them is that they don't tour enough. When they came to the States they only played a handful of shows in California, Texas and N.Y.C. I'm hoping to help build enough interest in them for them to play every region of America.
An hour long set ? Pah, their "one man lives " (where they are the only band on the bill), last two hours, and they play over twenty songs, sometimes 25 or more. And you get a couple MC breaks thrown into the mix as well. And maybe they'll do a couple of acoustic numbers to slow things down before winding up things up again.
I love your enthusiasm, I was pretty much the same when I heard them for the first time :-) Some more suggestions (as usual, please go for the live performances): Real Existence Onset Clang Don't You Tell Me Puzzle
They also have instrumentals during their shows to let Saiki (vocalist) rest. Try Onset. They used to have a video for that but it's mainly educational, now you can only get their live version which is of course, much better! ua-cam.com/video/roP4HFlGBUI/v-deo.html
1 hour set list BAND-MAID plays for 2 hours straight _(setlist below)_ I think if they really wanted they can do a 7 hour show. Bruce Springsteen: four hours and six minutes The Cure: 4 hours and six minutes Grateful Dead: 6 hours *BAND-MAID:* 7 hours 😁😁😁 STUDIO COAST, Tokyo, Japan November 24, 2017 1 Choose me 2 Don't you tell ME 3 you. *4 Moratorium* 5 Puzzle 6 Don't let me down 7 FREEDOM 8 So, What? 9 Unfair game 10 CROSS 11 matchless GUM 12 Awkward 13 Daydreaming 14 YOLO 15 alone 16 Brand-New Road 17 ORDER 18 decided by myself 19 TIME 20 One and only 21 REAL EXISTENCE 22 Take me higher!! 23 Play 24 secret My lips 25 the non-fiction days
Should I write, even though you have a Man Utd shirt..? ;) LOL!! This was fun to watch! =D Just get all albums and watch the whole live DVDs! Soon another to come by the way... ;) If you like them from the beginning...you are lost for a long time. Bought the CDs and barely played anything else for months. And then I discovered Lovebites..and now play them all the time. Dont know if you listened to them? If you like catchy as I do, try "Dont let me down"...the catchiest of them all...and naughtiest... =D Its an earlier song, and much simpler. BUT one of my favourites
Awsome reaction dude. Next band maid song has to be "Play". MISA, the bassist, has a cool little solo at the beginning of the live performance followed by a killer solo from kanami, the lead guitarist. As far as the next babymetal reaction goes, I'd love to see you react to either of these songs: Ijime Dame zettai, or the one. Two very awsome songs especially if you're looking for an emotional experience. I'd probably say "the one" would be an awsome choice because of what's happening round the world right now. But both are equally amazing in my opinion. Keep up the awsome work man. Loving your reactions so far.
This band is called Maximum The Hormone from Japan. Nu-Metal, Alternative Metal, Metalcore type of band. A lot of people call them Japan's System of A Down. Here is the list songs you should watch in any order but the first 3 songs I recommend. Maximum the Hormone 2 (name of song) (ua-cam.com/video/IC-wDpwzEt4/v-deo.html) song starts around 1:30 in video (FYI) (newer song also) Hungry Pride (ua-cam.com/video/tKZbHjy9GWM/v-deo.html) Song was made for a Ramen commercial but fans liked it so much they made a full version song. (This is the latest single they released) Maximum the Hormone (name of the song) (ua-cam.com/video/MmfUyyUL07A/v-deo.html) Koino Sperm (ua-cam.com/video/AUeRiPyjFH4/v-deo.html) video is live song with different festivals playing the same song. Also top left has video of band dancing to their song lol. Yoshu Fukushu (ua-cam.com/video/beN5ep5MrdY/v-deo.html) Alien (ua-cam.com/video/TdwT5JlH8gM/v-deo.html) They used to have more videos up but a lot of them are blocked. So these are the only ones I can find that have them in music videos. There are other videos but it's fan made videos with their music playing. But give them a listen on or off camera as long as you listen that will make me happy.
many of us are convinced too that they are world class material and "should" become very famous; I got to see a mini-concert of them a 3 years ago, and it was evident that they were world-level. and from then they astonishly got much better. and I confirm their ability to interact with the public; it doesn't make any sense but the language barrier (that is decreasing) is not a problem, somehow. you end up enjoying the live very much.
Welcome to the madiacs :-) Yes ... they are proud new member in the league of the real great ones. They got it all: Complex but catchy, versatility, insane musicianship, top notch interplay, soaring vocals and beautiful harmonies and a insane powerful driving engine - one of the best rhythm section ever ... and last but not least refreshing ego free and goofy personalities 🖤 There are other great Bands to discover in Japan, but no one comes close to Band-Maid as full package in my opinion - except GacharicSipn/Doll$Boxx who are very talented and unique too. There are faster shredders on the guitar, but none of those speed freaks got that perfect melodic taste of Kanami. I would like to reccomend next: Blooming - it got everything what makes Band-Maid unique ua-cam.com/video/uUt_JBMocKM/v-deo.html Rinne - their hardest song so far ua-cam.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/v-deo.html ... and for a contrast Daydreaming - a beautiful Ballade ua-cam.com/video/wTAXAVErogk/v-deo.html ... or You - as a relatively unknown hidden gem ua-cam.com/video/cH32AkZvdnk/v-deo.html ... around 80 more great ones
I saw them play their first shows in NYC at The Gramercy Theatre and Mercury Lounge back in September 2019. 24 song set, 1 hour and 45 minutes nonstop high energy! There are a lot of videos from those shows you should check them out.
Not sure if anyone has told you this yet, but Miku(rhythm guitar/backup vocals) worked at a Maid Cafe and came up with the idea to make a band. She got everyone together except Saiki(Lead singer) and started the band. She then realized that she couldn't carry the lead vocals and then recruited Saiki. Been amazing ever since, but I sill love Miku. My favorite song of theirs though would have to be "Dice". That song blew my mind the first time I heard it. You should check it out.
Not checking to see if anyone else has recommended this or not, but just go out and order their new DVD coming out April 29th. It's the full show from which the DOMINATION track you reacted to earlier was taken from. You will not regret it. Two solid hours of face-melting rock.
Lead guitarist Kanami Tono (called Kanamincho, or just Mincho by friends) composes all their music these days - but with heavy input from the rest of the band. Her hardest composition, she says, was the brilliant rock ballad Daydreaming. In this live video she plays the piano intro, as well as the underlaying synths - all triggered by drummer Akane Hirose, who has a MacBook she operates with a foot switch. Mincho has played the piano since the age of 5… ua-cam.com/video/wTAXAVErogk/v-deo.html
Everyone will suggest songs already. Their music makes me happy. Listen to their earlier work from 2013, Thrill. Discover their early brilliance. Cheers.
Great job mate!!! You'll flip out over this band also! Nemophila!! All star new Japanese female band. Oiran is the best song out along with Moratorium!! Love Band Maid!!! You're gonna ....sh!t ....yourself mate!! Enjoy!!
Well. try to find in UA-cam a sequence of two songs from ZEPP Tokyo 2018 Concert... the songs are "Turn Me On" sequenced by "Don’t You Tell Me". Simply the best sample of the Goddesses Misa (Bass) and Kaname (guitar), almost dueling on the stage
Amazingly, with how extremely talented everyone is, as far as technical ability with their primary instrument, Misa (bass) recruited by Kaname and the third member, may be the most proficient at her instrument. Then again Kaname (lead guitar) recruited by Miku is the second member She plays, sings, writes, and composes the songs. Miku (rhythm guitar) Founder. Has only been playing since she Formed Band-Maid. Primary backing vocals and writes the majority of the songs and is the band lead. Akane (drummer) recruited by Misa (I believe) is the fourth member, plays and helps with song structure and writing. Saiki (lead vocalist) Structure and writing and last to join through an audition.
Another great reaction I know how you feel, I just seen were they did a little a little snippet of slip knot how cool is that, and the cute little rhythm guitarist was sporting a bad ass Flying V so freaking cool.sorry didn’t mean she’s just the cute one cause they are all beautiful. They just compliant each other like I’ve never seen, you can’t have one without these others it’s a very special thing pay attention people this is something we haven’t seen in a long time
Like Band Maid? Did you know they are also BAND-MAIKO? "BAND-MAIKO secret MAIKO lips" it's the ladies dressed in kimonos instead of maid outfits. [starts slow and then they CRUSH IT]
Check out some of the bootleg recordings of them, they don't need the full light show and big stage to rock the house. 'Clang' from any of their European shows has a tasty intro.
They have done a world tour, Europe, The states, Sold out NYC 2 nites. If you want to see how far the rabbit hole goes, React to PLAY ( Live) and then Onset.
I do have one suggestion, and that's after you pause, go back a few seconds when you start back up so we can get back into the groove, as it were. So many changes in bm tunes, and the listener needs to go back a bit to regain the "context."
And props for appreciating Kanami (guitarist). I think Misa (bass) is crazy great and talented but Kanami.. well, shes sort of Michael Jordan if u get what i mean! )
haha he needs to see Miku's Magic Time and her singing Rock in Me just to give him the full experience beyond the rest of the amazing music! Plus watch their April Fool's group Band-Maiko and the songs Secret Maiko Lips and Gion-cho
Ima link you some more band maid songs get ready lol Shake that (this isn't a music video but this is from their second album) (ua-cam.com/video/4e1M-mHmxCw/v-deo.html) Onset live Instrumentals (ua-cam.com/video/roP4HFlGBUI/v-deo.html) Dice (ua-cam.com/video/ZpAYnVJX9CY/v-deo.html) Turn me on live (ua-cam.com/video/9wdSmhuf6tk/v-deo.html) Puzzle (ua-cam.com/video/3OuO0pgCBUo/v-deo.html) Non Fiction Days (ua-cam.com/video/ItYN-ri1NPs/v-deo.html) Alone (ua-cam.com/video/wKZbzcUdY1g/v-deo.html) Don't you tell me (ua-cam.com/video/tGXzhxXVimY/v-deo.html) Don't let me down (ua-cam.com/video/0YGwUhg2XNk/v-deo.html) Play live (ua-cam.com/video/YeiIju_t1D8/v-deo.html) Moratorium live (ua-cam.com/video/N7BQCkUb4SI/v-deo.html) Daydreaming (a little softer song but still rocks) (ua-cam.com/video/ZpAYnVJX9CY/v-deo.html) Choose me (ua-cam.com/video/MZIJ2vFxu9Y/v-deo.html) Most recent songs Reincarnation (ua-cam.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/v-deo.html) Blooming (ua-cam.com/video/uUt_JBMocKM/v-deo.html) Domination live (older song but live video is the newest and newest dated live performance and they also have a music video for this song) (ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html)
You are actually seeing Genius. Pretty much everything they do is a Genius piece of work. And for the record, BAND-MAID shows last 2 Hours, not an hour. And you covered your eyes at the end and missed the best part where she shatters the windows with the last note.
Misa - bassist
Miku - rhythm guitar and backup vocal
Akane - drummer
Saiki - lead vocalist
Kanami - lead guitarist

MISA
Yes, fix that typo. It's: MISA
They just do not have a bad song.
Love how as soon as someone new reacts to Band-Maid, all us fans swarm in with support, info, and suggestions.
LOL....the recipe for a UA-camr to get a huge spike in views is to react to a Band-Maid song..... ;o)

Blooming
Onset (this song is just instrumental but i swear your mind will explode 🤯🤯🤯)
Great selection and I would add "Order".
My favorite song from BAND-MAID. These ladies never disappoints, they do about 2 hour shows and kicks ass all through out their set. Super women!!!
So, Jamie, You think you could tell us how you really feel about this Band??? LOL!! A great reaction! This band just kicks ass for months. Do one react a day and you'll be two months out and still getting top quality rock all the way!!

Great Reaction, I love to see reactors do this song. And with Band Maid you have not seen anything yet :)
They do 2 hour sets and sold out every show in their short US tour in 2019. Pure Gold!!!
Best rock and roll band in the world! I've been playing and writing in Nashville for 25 years and I'll never be as good as these ladies!!!
I can’t get enough of Band Maid. Thanks for the reaction !

They are honestly way too good!! And I would loveeee for the girls to see it but I very much doubt that would happen😂😂
@@CypherReacts Oh, they comment on their social media that they are attentive to what their fans say about them in YT... do not lose hope!
I´ve been waiting for something like this for more than 50 years now. They said rock is dead. They were wrong. Welcome to the club.
yup nothing like the maids they are just awesome live and do 24-26 song sets. but one music video you should consider doing is the song 'dice'. probably the favorite song of about 75% of maid fans. don't miss it. the mv sound quality is great. and another mv that kicks ass is'real existence' from 2016
"They complement each other on a New Level"...
Agree. Agree. Agree.
MISA!!!! MISA!!!
🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!! 🤘🤘
Okay, so Don't You Tell Me live has a wonderful guitar driven surprise in the middle of it!!! 😁🤘🤘
They are the most beautifully amazing band on the planet and they generate enough wonderful energy to power a small city >3
They were about to play at Knotfest in Ohio and were set to play on stage right before Slipknot.. It would have opened new doors for them but it got cancelled due to Covid-19..
typical... sick of this covid shit now...
Also check out the band "Lovebites" if you want to hear another amazing Japanese band a good video is "When Destinies Align"
Good ol' Moratorium, definitely one of my favorite songs. This ride doesn't end yet though, it's just getting started. Every song they have is good.
You are one of my favorite reactors. We can see how honest and exciting your reactions are. Good job man!
Yo! Thank you so much my dude!! I’m doing all I can to put out the best quality content I can and I’m so happy you enjoy it
Mate, the concert this is from is over 2 hours long and it is ALL this good. Love your reaction, keep it up .
I'll check it out! thank you my dude!
Glad you like them. I'd heavily suggest the following songs: Thrill, Take Me Higher, Play, Bubble & The Dragon Cries
Great reaction man, If you wanna see them showing their skills check out "Onset" live. Its a masterpiece!
Magic fingers Kanami! Adorable Kanamincho will blow your mind and you will love it ;)
この曲に関しては、彼女らの楽器は楽器でなく、攻撃兵器なのだ!For this song, their instruments are not musical instruments, they are attack weapons for world domination!
I love your enthusiasm, I was pretty much the same when I heard them for the first time :-)
Some more suggestions (as usual, please go for the live performances):
Real Existence
Onset
Clang
Don't You Tell Me
Puzzle
Welcome to BAND-MAID family my friend
I recommend the Don't You Tell Me live video. It has a great back and forth with the guitar and bass.
This is one of their best songs to showcase the bass guitar (Misa) up front driving the song.
They also have instrumentals during their shows to let Saiki (vocalist) rest. Try Onset. They used to have a video for that but it's mainly educational, now you can only get their live version which is of course, much better!
ua-cam.com/video/roP4HFlGBUI/v-deo.html
I will second Onset! Love it!
agree WOW and audience participation to boot. BMAID 4EVER.
Nice reaction Jamie! Congrats on 2k subs, keep going and I'm looking forward to whatever you react to next time! More BAND-MAID please :)

LOL!! This was fun to watch! =D Just get all albums and watch the whole live DVDs! Soon another to come by the way... ;)
If you like them from the beginning...you are lost for a long time. Bought the CDs and barely played anything else for months. And then I discovered Lovebites..and now play them all the time. Dont know if you listened to them?
If you like catchy as I do, try "Dont let me down"...the catchiest of them all...and naughtiest... =D
Its an earlier song, and much simpler. BUT one of my favourites
Their sets are two hours long...sometimes more
that's actually so awesome!!
Yep, Jamie gets it. :-) Welcome aboard!
Maximum the Hormone 2 (name of song)
(ua-cam.com/video/IC-wDpwzEt4/v-deo.html) song starts around 1:30 in video (FYI) (newer song also)
Hungry Pride (ua-cam.com/video/tKZbHjy9GWM/v-deo.html)
Song was made for a Ramen commercial but fans liked it so much they made a full version song. (This is the latest single they released)
Maximum the Hormone (name of the song)
(ua-cam.com/video/MmfUyyUL07A/v-deo.html)
Koino Sperm (ua-cam.com/video/AUeRiPyjFH4/v-deo.html) video is live song with different festivals playing the same song. Also top left has video of band dancing to their song lol.
Yoshu Fukushu (ua-cam.com/video/beN5ep5MrdY/v-deo.html)
Alien (ua-cam.com/video/TdwT5JlH8gM/v-deo.html)
They used to have more videos up but a lot of them are blocked. So these are the only ones I can find that have them in music videos. There are other videos but it's fan made videos with their music playing. But give them a listen on or off camera as long as you listen that will make me happy.
Love Band Maid, they kick ass! 🤘
many of us are convinced too that they are world class material and "should" become very famous; I got to see a mini-concert of them a 3 years ago, and it was evident that they were world-level. and from then they astonishly got much better.
and I confirm their ability to interact with the public; it doesn't make any sense but the language barrier (that is decreasing) is not a problem, somehow. you end up enjoying the live very much.
I you want to see another awsome asian band I recommend Lovebites, song to start: When Destinies Align
Welcome to the madiacs :-) Yes ... they are proud new member in the league of the real great ones. They got it all: Complex but catchy, versatility, insane musicianship, top notch interplay, soaring vocals and beautiful harmonies and a insane powerful driving engine - one of the best rhythm section ever ... and last but not least refreshing ego free and goofy personalities 🖤
There are other great Bands to discover in Japan, but no one comes close to Band-Maid as full package in my opinion - except GacharicSipn/Doll$Boxx who are very talented and unique too. There are faster shredders on the guitar, but none of those speed freaks got that perfect melodic taste of Kanami.
I would like to reccomend next:
Blooming - it got everything what makes Band-Maid unique ua-cam.com/video/uUt_JBMocKM/v-deo.html
Rinne - their hardest song so far ua-cam.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/v-deo.html ... and for a contrast
Daydreaming - a beautiful Ballade ua-cam.com/video/wTAXAVErogk/v-deo.html ... or
You - as a relatively unknown hidden gem ua-cam.com/video/cH32AkZvdnk/v-deo.html ... around 80 more great ones
A lot of that backing vocals is the crowd. They put audience participation is almost every song, and even in Europe and the USA the crowd sings along.
I saw them play their first shows in NYC at The Gramercy Theatre and Mercury Lounge back in September 2019. 24 song set, 1 hour and 45 minutes nonstop high energy! There are a lot of videos from those shows you should check them out.
For the next video you should check out Play (Live) or if you want to hear a purely instrumental piece, try Onset (Live). Welcome to the Army man.
So amazing never stop creating videos ❤️
Yes Domination was 2nd last song of a 2 hour set. There are at 20 more songs at this live energy level.
Mincho has played the piano since the age of 5…

Wow! Look at you... 2.24K and rising. Great reaction!
This was recorded at Zepp Tokyo, if I remember correctly. I was at the show at Nagoya Diamond Hall the week before this was recorded.
Everyone will suggest songs already. Their music makes me happy. Listen to their earlier work from 2013, Thrill. Discover their early brilliance. Cheers.
check out the band-maid playlist, I've reacted to that track already!
Great job mate!!!
You'll flip out over this band also!
Nemophila!! All star new Japanese female band. Oiran is the best song out along with Moratorium!! Love Band Maid!!!
You're gonna ....sh!t ....yourself mate!!
Enjoy!!
More BandMaid. you'll gain subs fast. ;) Band-Maid="Sonically Satisfying" :D the venue that is at is called Zepp Tokyo.
You should check out the song that was next up in this concert's set: "Puzzle".
BTW love your reaction at 2:10. ;o)
Thanks Jamie! And yes you are doing a proper job.
Thank you so much!! I’m trying so hard!
Well. try to find in UA-cam a sequence of two songs from ZEPP Tokyo 2018 Concert... the songs are "Turn Me On" sequenced by "Don’t You Tell Me". Simply the best sample of the Goddesses Misa (Bass) and Kaname (guitar), almost dueling on the stage
MISA MISA MISA!
Amazingly, with how extremely talented everyone is, as far as technical ability with their primary instrument, Misa (bass) recruited by Kaname and the third member, may be the most proficient at her instrument. Then again
Kaname (lead guitar) recruited by Miku is the second member She plays, sings, writes, and composes the songs.
[starts slow and then they CRUSH IT]
Great reaction bro.
Misa! Misa! Misa!
Listen onset live from band- maid. Moratorium is crazy song!
Check nonfiction days..you won't regret👍
The song Domination is about the band wanting every body in the world know their name
I do have one suggestion, and that's after you pause, go back a few seconds when you start back up so we can get back into the groove, as it were. So many changes in bm tunes, and the listener needs to go back a bit to regain the "context."
We’ll be seeing a BM poster on that wall on your left soon enough
Kanamincho channeling Santana, Hendrix, and SRV.
I experienced Beatle mania! Know personally what that felt like! This is bigger!!!
Ima link you some more band maid songs get ready lol

You are actually seeing Genius. Pretty much everything they do is a Genius piece of work. And for the record, BAND-MAID shows last 2 Hours, not an hour. And you covered your eyes at the end and missed the best part where she shatters the windows with the last note.
Just a day at the office, or Maid-Cafe, for BAND-MAID.
