Me and my wife bouhgt a 2017 Renault clio. The same color as this one, but it's the 1.5 dci (diesel). It's been a year and we love the car. It's beautiful, comfortable, very economic. Very happy with it :)
The most beautiful Clio of all. Not even the new one is that good looking in every angle as the IV. I don’t get why they facelifted the V so badly. The old one has attitude. The V looks like it has a self esteem problem and wants to hide it looking like a Megane.
@@FeuermannFilms I totally agree. The interior of the new one looks good, but I prefer the exterior of the IV, looks more aggressive (especially the back).
I have been driving same car since March 2020. My Clio has Icon trim package (don't know its name in Europe, in Turkey it is called Icon). I am really glad of it. I love it so much. Yesterday, i have measured 0-100 acceleration, it was exactly 13 seconds. But I couldn't start properly and tire grip was a bit slippery due to summer tires. I think, under better conditions, it can be better. To talk about consumption, in Istanbul, on the open road with light traffic, it is 6,8-7 l/100 km. At a normal traffic including hills, stop & gos and open road, it is 8 l/100km. At really heavy traffic conditions that you can't move for minutes, it is 8,8-9 l/100km. Except for short distances that you go nearly 120-130 km/h, I haven't had chance to measure it on highway properly but it was about 6,5-7 l/100km.
@@vitorpassos309 I agree with you. I used to drive my car unconsciously about economical drive. The comment above has been written at one of those times. Now my car consumes 6 l/100 km at flowing Istanbul traffic and 8 l/100 km at the most difficult conditions of heavy Istanbul traffic. After 3 weeks, I will have a 400 km highway drive and try to have an economical drive properly. I will see how much my Clio consumes. And also, I measured 11 seconds at 0-100 km test.
It’s double what Renault claim! Could it be because Joe was revving the engine a little too hard? (Just from what I saw on the motorway) - 9.2 for a small hatchback is insane!
5:50 I am fed up with situations like this one. I encounter at least 2 of these kind of morons on my daily commute. Why can't they think like drivers for a second and stand further from the damn crossing? This one even made a move like it was going to cross... Fucking idiot.... The video was great as always! Keep it up!
Eh, I can make my 2004 1.1 Suzuki Alto do the same, and it's supposed to be the Indian version of the original, already economic kei car. It depends on how heavy your foot is, power comes from fuel.
The fuel consumption is a little high, I have this car and I usually average 8.8l/100km otherwise overall it's a very good car, I think the high fuel consumption is because it's got a small engine and the car is a little bit to heavy. But otherwise it's a very good little car and I really love it, it even has heel start assist which is a very cool feature. Not much complaints from my end. ❤
Great to know it's supposed to sound like a tram/gokart from the tranny (my kids actually said it was like riding a tram..). Just bought a used one and was worried it was something wrong. Bargain of a car!
Hi! I recently bought Clio after getting my drivers licencse, but can't figure out if there's a button for moving rearview mirrors or if we have to do it manually? I'll appreciate the answer
@@sinicodaniel hey! Thank you for the answer but I just realized that I didn't ask the right question. I know how to move them to adjust their position, but is there the button to "close" them when we park the car?
@@lilibe92 girl I got you! I've been riding this car for year and a half and there is no button 🤣 you have to do it manually, so I close them only if I park somewhere really tight.
It depends on the use. I've tested this car driving alone in the city and medium distance travels (150-200 kms at 120-130 km/h) and with this conditions the car is not underpowered). But....if you use the car with four adults, luggage and narrow roads, needing fast overtakes, better the 120 TCE...speaking about second hand one.....
The 0.9 t has the same HP as we had on our 2001 Clio, which was a lot ligher. I didn't drive the new one but I'm guessing that it would feel kinda slow going out of town.
doing 60 km/h in second gear and then changing into a third, that is as if you never drove a stick shift before, might as well go 117 km/h in the first
I wanted to buy it, that car in top spec was my dream for a couple of years (good looking, not very expensive but with tons of modern and tech-savy stuff if you want to give a couple of euro more , but still not a lot) but than came in 2019 Clio V which is started a fucking revolution in the B segment and of course I bought number V in top spec avaible in 2019 :D But still I'm looking for a chance to drive Clio IV with 90tce just to feel how it drives. My Wife's uncle had Clio 2 so I drove it, my first car was the 1st twingo, my former car was Clio 3 (I still have it as 2nd car, 14yo and still kicking with really few problems, just a typical Renault electrical bullshit), my father had Modus after lifting (basically obese clio xD) and now has newest Megane before it came electric and my father in law has and older Megane model in a good spec. Somehow Renault stays in mine family and my Wife's family :D So I'd say from the price range then only 2 I wish to drive one day is a "newest" Twingo with the rear engine and my "dream", clio iV :D

It is the very basic car for driving licence exams and driving schools in France. Almost every young French drivers are familiar with this Clio IV :)
but has tons of perks if you just spend a little bit more money, but still not a lot.

Yep, no wonder it is high. He drives it like the ordinary drivers won't. In 3rd to 100km/h? In second 50 - 60km/h? I do not think so. :)
Yeah normal consumption should be around 6-7 I guess

Great video man i like your videos you keep them just like i need . About the key is it some special Edition it is looking like a tiny smartphone
No. The car key is like a card. You insert it, and it turns the energy on. Then you just push the "start" button to start the car's engine
