I'm glad Benny has found so much after ABBA success. He and Bjorn get pushed to the side a bit in ABBA-related talk. But he's always been a fantastic and talented musician.
Oh BB, with the video title U almost gave me a heart attack!! Merry Christmas BB, thank you for a great year, your hard work is very much appreciated..
I have all the BAO CD’s and box set too! Fabulous band, real music, real musicians and two of the world’s greatest vocalists! Thanks for your comprehensive review, BB. I have listened to it several times and even though it didn’t “grab me” straight away, the songs are “growing on me” - I had a similar response to “The Visitors” way back when and it has become over the years my all time favourite album…
I've listened quite a lot on this album since its release. I've always enjoyed the sound of BAO, and this album might be their most consistent yet. The musicianship is excellent and the vocalists are fantastic. Benny has surely picked the best singers for his band! Maybe this album lacks true stand-out songs like on their previous albums, but on the other hand it's very good throughout. I like the album a lot! 👌
Wow Bobby you are spot on! Track 11 Om det dara vore sa latt is really fantastic. I must say, I could hear Frida singing that. Thanks for your track reviews. Cheers.
Felicitaciones Benny! Gran maestro que en esta etapa de su vida nos sigue deleitando a través de sus creaciones! Gran artista que perdurará por siempre. Gracias Bobby y Feliz Navidad 🤶 Clau Vivian
There re 3 songs from BAO that i would love to have heard from Frida and Agnetha as proper ABBA recordings. 1/Fait Accomplie (Agnetha on the lead) 2/Summa summarum (Frida on the lead) 3/Story of a heart(Brian May of Queen did a solo cover to this together with Kerry Ellis btw...The ABBA ladies would have nailed it!).
@Stardustspectrum för 0 sekunder sedan I dream about Agnetha singing ”Du måste finnas” from the musical Kristina från Duvemåla. It would have been epic, imagine with the same power and emotions as in The winner takes it all. Dream on
I'm sure I will like this as I love November 1989 and the other solo work. However, I'm primarily an ABBA fan and nothing Benny and Björn could do would ever equal the thrill of Agnetha and Frida singing together. It saddens me a little to think that some of these songs might have originally been intended for Voyage. Still, it's not the end of the world and I've accepted that ABBA as an entity aren't active anymore and unlikely to ever be again. We still have Voyage- the album and concert- not to mention their whole back catalogue.
Do you know how many times Agnetha has watched the Voyage show? also was her reaction with the 3 other members caught on film when she 1st watched it at the premier?
I’m excited to hear it. Thanks for letting us know it happened and I also want to say how much I appreciate your wonderful insight on any topic you post as It always elevates my experience as well. With regards to this new album, I’m unable to find it online In Canada. Would you have a link as to where I can listen to it? I didn’t see one in your post but I’m on a mobile device and UA-cam loves to flood my little screen with lots of busy things to pull my attention away so I find it easy to miss details. Thanks
I was really interested to hear the new album, It fascinates me BAO released "Mitt hjärta klappar för dig" my personal favourite them) in the same year ABBA met up at the Mamma Mia Party and Agnetha and Frida sang for Benny & Bjorn at their 50th Friendship concert. Then they began with the Voyage show and album in 2017, Benny recorded and released 2 new songs for BAO's hit package in 2019 and Voyage was finnished by 2021. The music is linked.
2025 marks the 50th Anniversary of 'ABBA' (1975) and the first Greatest Hits album. It would be great if you could maybe create some new videos to commemorate these releases?
Hey BB and ABBAphiles, check out the excellent survey about ABBAin the London Review of Books: "Twinge of Saudade," by Chal Ravens, Best writing on our fab four I've seen in some time. The "saudade" (untranslatable Portuguese term for "sadness, longing" that defines Fado music) the author mentions is exactly what I experienced heraring the Voyage album three years ago and seeing the Vogage show in London this past February.
I thought it was another ABBA album. They are incredible musicians but they are missing the magic of those two women Agnetha and Anni-Frid together. It is not the same without them.
Swedish people are wonderful and their population is only 10 million what a thrill, and Scandinavian all speak such great English unlike English people who mostly speak their mother tongue only.
No 08. This is a polska, a hambopolska, not a polka. Polska is in 3/4 and polka is a fast 2/4. It's a huge difference🙂. And a hambo is a dance that comes out of polska. The hambopolska was common when they started to dance hambo to old polska tunes. Hambopolska have a certain feel.
Hmm we dont get mch for our money, all very short songs/ melodies and no more than 5 or 6 on either side. same as Voyage we hardly had time to lean back and enjoy before we had to get up and re-start the music. other bands have been more generous - an LP is hampered by space, but today we have CDs and they can run longer- BAO and ABBA really should give us more..
I'm glad Benny has found so much after ABBA success. He and Bjorn get pushed to the side a bit in ABBA-related talk. But he's always been a fantastic and talented musician.
Benny is an amazing composer. A musical genius. I would love this album.
I nearly choked on my mid-afternoon snack when I read the title of this report! I thought you meant a new ABBA album!!!!
Yes, misleading. Oh well.
Probably as close as were likely to get to a new ABBA album.
Yes very misleading and disappointing.
Oh BB, with the video title U almost gave me a heart attack!! Merry Christmas BB, thank you for a great year, your hard work is very much appreciated..
Great review!!!! Thank you! I may buy the album now! I needed to hear someone reviewing it like you did!
"Thank" you from Chile
Thank you. I hope you enjoy it!

A highly enjoyable album, rich in melody and romantic, the best BAO album.
Benny is such a talented composer
Love this album and would love it in English too. Helen and Thomas are brilliant as usual. Some of the songs would be brilliant Abba songs ❤xx
Wow Bobby you are spot on! Track 11 Om det dara vore sa latt is really fantastic. I must say, I could hear Frida singing that. Thanks for your track reviews. Cheers.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Benny and Bjorn can write for BAO, they can write for a new ABBA album.
Felicitaciones Benny! Gran maestro que en esta etapa de su vida nos sigue deleitando a través de sus creaciones! Gran artista que perdurará por siempre. Gracias Bobby y Feliz Navidad 🤶 Clau Vivian
Great review. Hambopolska is surely a re-interpretation of Tivedshambo - which to me gives a wonderful link back to Abba.
I would love to listen to this album

I’ve been dreaming of Abba recording “Story of a Heart” for so long

Track 3....Exotic!
"Som en sprucken mandolin" reminded me of "Mio Min Mio".

WOOW
Yes it does have something to do with ABBA, Benny

Oh, we HAVE to hear Josefin's English version of "Mingel"
Yeah, I really wonder what that was called. I guess the song was not released?
Wouldn't it be awesome if ABBA did a whole brand new album IN SWEDISH ? What do you think?
We can all dream !
Personally I wouldn’t mind if ABBA release an album in any language or even in a made up language -as long as they sing the words !
No matter what we think, that won't happen.

I'd thought they said voyage will be their final album 😮
I love abba.

Will try to hear the album. I wish he gets back to work on few new ABBA songs for the Mamma Mia 3 movie with the voice of Agneta and Frida

I wonder if they might record, till exempel, Track 9 in English, as a single to reach more people?
This album is ok. ABBA albums are amazing.
I thought it was another ABBA album. They are incredible musicians but they are missing the magic of those two women Agnetha and Anni-Frid together. It is not the same without them.
I can't see why they wouldn't just do another ABBA album instead.
So, it is a new album from Benny, nothing to do with ABBA.
Not really misleading, it does say at the beginning - Benny Anderson orchestra@David-uf8ex
Oh please. You are nitpicking. It may not be an "ABBA" album per se but the connection is there. Benny (and Bjorn) wrote ABBA's hits. I'll take that.
@@cristinamarques4517 This channel is about ABBA and their solo work, and it has been about ABBA and their solo work since I started the channel.
@@bobbysbrother137it’s all linked to ABBA, B&B say no more, well done Bobby 😊

C'mon, he's 78 and is still releasing new albums. He could have retired decades ago.
In my humble opinion this album has very little to do with ABBA apart from being written by Björn and Benny.
I like neither Helen Sjoholm and Tommy Koberg. Infact I can't stand their voices.
