Don’t even bother to fix it when the gear box goes out, miller pro claims you have to you have the press the main shaft out of it to get any of the parts in the gear box out. We couldn’t get it out with our 10 ton press, tried a 100 ton press and it wouldn’t come out. To buy the gearbox cost more than the machine is worth. Scrap it
we have a Krone Swadro TC 640 it is a good rake we have had it for 2 years now done over 12,000 acres the only thing we have had to fix on it was when a neighbor borrowed it and didn't lift it to the stopper but pull the rope to move the stoppers out of the way and folded it up all the way when the PTO was still on and broke both PTO shafts
Welcome! Jumped on a new Holland $300,000 tractor pull and 18 on ice last winter. Not a very good feeling lol! Came out just fine. Thanks for the video
We switched to twinstar basket several years ago after running rotary rakes for many years. Is it just me or is there always a new trend in the rake world? The latest thing around here is using pickup style mergers to rake the hay.
Mergers are great for high moisture hay, but merging hay that is close to baling leaves it so vulnerable to wind, I prefer the Twinstar basket rake putting 2 windrows into 1.
Always looking the best method. Twin stars are nice. We run two of them. I only wish they reached further out to tip the rows over since we swath at 16 ft. Rotary rakes are the way to go if you want fluffy hay.
How could the Darf vee rakes be improved? The Krone youtube channel, video title "KRONE Swadro S 460 DB - rotary rake with successful update" has a close-up of the tines angle and level off the ground while in use.
I think ur a little low...getting into the dirt...i havent personally used rotary rakes, but prolly much better choice that wheel rakes...I've told you before basket rakes are much better than wheel rakes...glad to see you experimenting...if you wanna make clean, top quality hay without the dirt & regrowth, you gotta get away from the wheel rakes, man !!
Run that same exact rake. Have used it for several years on several different crops. Overall does a great job.
We have been using Krone Rotary rakes for several years and have been very satisfied. Krone builds very dependable equipment.
We run a miller pro single rotary rake to get it dry then use our wheel rake to double up the windrows here in Minnesota.
Another great video Trevor

Baby cup holders for a baby tractor😂😂
Running to low in my opinion but they’re great rakes
O shit Approved?😂😂. Thats you Big T. Time to do some Sketchy shit. 💪😎👍🇺🇲
When you are raking that fast doesn't that knock leaves off the hay too much?
You have your rake to low and a krone 760 is better. We rake around 6-7 mile an hour and between 300-350 rpm on the pto.
Put ATV green slime in all those little tires and keep a couple of spare wheels and tires at the shop.
Don't use slime...it's nasty...use tire ject...much cleaner & works better !!!
Berrymans makes a great product that doesn't get all yucky in a tire.

Ground driven rakes like darf can roll the hay into a rope like row. Can cause issues with consistency of flakes
I sent a guy your way out of New Mexico he told me he was looking for grass and alfalfa and I told him you would have it
Raking too low if you have dust behind it ??
They set that rake way too low for you IMO catching way too much dirt
little tractors for little jobs. so you only need a little cup haha
