Summary:
Does listening with complete attention break down the pattern of the brain?

but He was nevertheless Krishnamurti, with His own life, His friends and so on, so people must be carefully with this idea of dissolving, not to take it as a nihilistic adrift, don't you agree?

when K. talk about 'listening', He mean listen to Him, in order to have an awakening, is probably His way of teaching, He is actually a real Guru, in the most serious way. ( I know He often talk bad about gurus, etc)
No lol...not listen to him to have an awakening...just listen...stop thinking...stop and listen...observe...J never considered himself as a guru nor acted like one...

At 1:19:04 in the video, K sees something apparently from another dimension, talked to a madam that I doubt anyone else could see.
K. is one the few Master that tried, kind of desperately, to teach without been a teacher for the audience, so not to condition them. But somehow, this risk is always there. Even Buddha, didn't want to teach, and, the story goes, the Brahma came down to push Him to do it ! So, the reluctant Guru so to say. But nevertheless He went around for decades talking around the world. He is a MahaBodhisattva, using a Buddhadharma term.

On the other hand, however, Krishnamurti is often discouraging, contemptuous of other spiritual traditions, such as Tibetan Dharma, or Zen, which are not to be thrown away at all, and which have helped many people over the millennia to live a more peaceful existence. After all, upon closer inspection, as is known from the biographies, of Lutyens in particular, K. did yoga every morning, he ate in a certain way, he was a healer, in short, there were various aspects of his life not dissimilar to other masters Spiritual. Now, he never talked about this in the talks. Why ? doing yoga every morning would also be good for his fans, those who followed him every year in Saanen or elsewhere. Does anyone else call you crazy when you try to talk about these things to others?
and when K say clearly to do not rely on others teachings, but enquire by oneself, in that case individual seems to matters at all! Otherwise, one could be a prey to others self named gurus, be manipulated, etc, isn' it? so here ther's a kind of apparent contraddiction, but of course only in mere logic.
