Carpet cleaning beast! Not so good through the hose though since the clean air motor is so small. As long as one does a good “once over” before vacuuming to get rid of any small objects (bobby pins, paper clips, etc) it does wonderful! But if something gets stuck in the dirty air motor - it’s a pain to pull the entire floor nozzle apart and fish it out.
I have this vacuum and mine sounds exactly like that, I've had no problems or slipping, I use the auto settings and I have short carpet like you have 😄
From the short time I used it today, it didn’t seem like the dirt sensor was very accurate ha ha. Do you find the premium tandem Ayres are more powerful than say a brillianace?
I had the R30 which was blue. I though the R40 was black? Anyways, I sold it because it had a very annoying high frequency ring to it that drove me crazy. My Riccar friend/dealer told me the R40’s have different motors and that they don’t have that ring, and that they are more powerful than the R30. I’m considering getting an R40, but I want to make triple sure it does not have that ringing to it. I think the Maytag variants are R30’s. I don’t think Maytag has a variant of the R40, or one with the R40’s motor.
I have that same one. Absolutely love it! My dealer told me to make sure I left it run before I used it on carpet for 10 minutes with the brush roll going to let the bearings properly lubricate and avoid future issues.
@@JohnSmithNE3478 he told me it has something to do with the rpm of the brush roll. I took mine home in the box but he said he runs all of the machines before selling them.
I bought mine on black friday at a David's vac store the guy let me take it home sealed in the box. The owner and I got along really well we both share an interest in tech.
I really enjoyed this video. I was introduced to Riccar with my roommate's SupraLite Standard. I ended up going with the Entry due to price but really wish I could have got that one since I did like the two speed setting and the fabric bag holder. May I recommend a tripod for your next video? 😄
You seem a little bias against Riccar. You act as though they are going out of business? Watch a tour of their factory and see all the work and experiments they do and you’ll see this is truly a vacuum company!

Beautiful machine!!! :)
I've had it for a while now it's been a awesome vacuum 😎 no problems at all!
Terrific vacuum cleaner
Very nice. Those premium tandem airs are great machines. The dirt sensor light is kinda neat too.

That’s a good tip! Of course I did jump right to the cleaning 😅

It’s a monster! Congratulations!
When are you doing a review and demo of the Bissell lift off?
I can soon, just been busy with work

I don’t do tripods, I’d be moving it around just as much to show things
I worked at my local vacuum store and I have put together lots of these not the r40 but the r30 and they make them so hard to get out of the box.
How has the reliability on these been? Do you know if the 40 has more power than the 30?
What's the difference between the 40 and the 30
Do you still enjoying your Filter Queen? Should I get one? Ive been thinking about it.
I like it yes, but haven’t used it in a long time
You paid full price for that machine?
@@FnaFFanSince2016 no, I got it for around 800$
Simplicity has the freedom still only cleaner they have still similar to riccar

I wonder what the difference between the 40 and the 30s
