Rob Page reacts to Wales' Euro 2024 play-off final defeat to Poland in Cardiff

Wales were left heartbroken as their hopes of qualification for Euro 2024 were crushed by a 5-4 penalty shoot-out defeat to Poland in Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Rob Page's side had thumped Finland 4-1 in their qualifying play-off semi-final last Thursday and battled admirably at the Cardiff City Stadium, limiting Robert Lewandowski and Co to just one shot on target through the initial 90 minutes and extra-time and having an effort of their own ruled out by VAR.

They didn't disrespect the anthem some Welsh fans booed when Polish fans lit a flare during the Polish anthem....Wales fans applauded the Polish team at the end of the game

No longer have Bale who used to decide these sort of games - but they've got a young team who play with passion and energy. The players are also clearly behind Page so I hope the FAW don't do anything rash after this result.
Bale would do nothing at this age, same as Lewandowski is useless for our Polish Team.
All he does is mark 2 defenders, but it's rare now to ever see them score.
Bale and Lewandowski not Ronaldo/Messi caliber to be able to individually go past 2/3 defenders to create chances for themselves that their team does not provide.

Wales always loses to Poland out of 11 games they have won only once in 1973. Poland it's just a better team than Wales.
currently they are evenly matched teams, Poland just have few more experienced players as you see better keeper decided penalties and saved few essentials during normal time.
The population of Wales is 3.5 million whereas the population of Poland is 37.75 million for that population Poland is absolutely awful.

Bizarre subs, and after a very good first half, was not good enough second half and extra time against a average poland team who had lost 3 of there 4 games coming into this. Page job has to be questioned. We dropped too defensive after half time and aimed repetitive poor balls for moore to chase, poland looked the only team to score once half time had been.
Wales did well first half. After that poland was all over them tbh
@@user-ku7pj9fu3q Attacking threat just went , long aimless balls up the pitch hoping for moore to fight a losing battle up front , that was when he was not in his own half defending deep like the rest of the team after the first half. Thought the midfield went missing too, poland waltzed through it at times after the break. It was poor tactics , and if page did not say defend deep, he should have instructed the players to get up the pitch more. Time for a change in manager.
