I used to like it because of the melody and because of Brooke's voice, but now I also like it because of the lyrics and their powerful meaning. Back to God, I understand the spirituality that makes the song meaningful.

2024, listening to it with a different perspective. Not delusional about God anymore but still hoping for a mercy that comes with morning. This song is still very beautiful and powerful to my feelings for different reasons now. I don't think there is a way to know if there is a God right up there and to be honest I don't really think this actually matter because in my heart a God doesn't need submissive worship nor will care about peoples consenting sexual lives or even would condemn anyone to a hell for silly little things when the person is actually a good human being. If there is any God, I hope he is actually good to people at least in the afterlife.
