I like how he didn’t give up and kept trying to get it right. he could have ended the video and did it off camera but this man doesn’t have a lazy bone in his body and loves to teach you can tell he has a true passion for Glock , teaching and making money !
I received the Vism sight pusher for Glock and it came as an armorers kit with a front sight tool, pro tool and a mag popper. At first I wasn't sure of the quality, but after watching Len use it , I was convinced that it would do the job. And it worked flawlessly. Two quick comments and or suggestions; first the instructions advise that you oil all screw threads and bushings, very important because of the strain on the threads under pressure. Second Len mentioned maybe putting a pipe on the cranking handle to gain more leverage, and I felt first hand how difficult it was to turn, then I noticed the end of the threaded bolt where the "T" handle goes through is Hex shaped and a 15mm socket fits perfectly and you get all the leverage you need as well as pin point control. Worked like a charm
I have to give it to him... the videos are good and explanatory. Then every item is linked to the store. If not you can easily look up the item number. Very seamless. Unfortunately they are out of stock on a lot of stuff.
Gotta love Lenny. Gives us the safety talk, just because. Great advice, no ammo in the room where cleaning and assembly are done. He's the man. Looks like a great pusher, I'm ordering it.
Just ordered that universal tool and the magnetic front sight tool. Just need to get some loctite and im ready to lose the oem sights. Thanks for posting this video!
Lenny, this was a true to real world demonstration which you showed the ease of completing and yet the patience of doing as many tweaks as necessary to accurately complete the job for precise sight alignment for accurate shooting performance and if necessary fine tune, if you find out you are hitting target consistently off to one side. Nice demonstration. Nice professional work.
30:58 you are correct, they should maintain the correct uninstall/install procedure... its been like that for a reason. easy way to remember is everything ends and begins on the ejection side of the slide.
Good infomation, Lenny. One thing I would add. I place blue painter's masking tape on entire slide, to prevent marring it. In addition, on the bit of blue tape right behind the original sight, and in front, I mark the center of the rear sight notch. Easy to center the new sight by referencing these center marks. I put TruGlo's on my Glocks, and they install easily with a sight pusher. The one he shows looks really good, but I used an older one which is the similar design, square with "universal" parts. Worked fine, but this new blue one is better and really cheap, only $40 or so.
When I used this tool to install TFX Pros on my Glocks, I was able to measure exactly 1/8th inches from each side of the sights to the ends of the dovetail cutouts. I used a metal flat-ruler and an illuminated magnifying glass to verify.
Cant wait for your nashville store to open lenny!!!! Its a 3 hour drive for me to Nashville but its definitely gonna be worth having every glock part and aftermarket parts plus milling and stippling all in one store. Be safe and God Bless, Stay safe and carry a weapon!
I tapped my rear slide off with a hardwood dowel and a small hammer so as to avoid damaging metal. Installed the same way. Not sure if the videos explains why that's a mistake. All seems perfect. Took ten minutes. I rebuild my own woodworking shop tools so I understand metals and mechanical things.
Thank Lenny for this and all your videos. I'm a new Glock 45 owner and am learning a lot from you. I just received my sight pusher tool from the GS and am looking forward to aligning my sights. You're the best!
I started the video. I had no idea what was even in the VISM bag when I hit play. When he started talking, I started trying to figure out the tool myself. I had installed and centered out my rear sight before he even had the slide off that glock. Holy shit dude.
You would think GLOCK would have a small mark either on top or on the back of the slide showing dead center of the slide for sight adjustment. For eyeballing though I might try looking down the muzzle to line up the firing pin with the sight. Just an amatuers thought. Great video thanks.
GREAT Demonstration Lenny. Although the pusher here will not do Ghost-sights that I can see. I find that the dovetail nose rings are quite difficult to size up regardless of pushers that will allow it.
Also explain too newbies how a barrel isn't always centered in the slide as well. Sometimes the rear sight may need too be a hair off center too match the barrel.
I just bought these exact same sights and tool and they were delivered this morning and now I see glockstore puts out this video a few hours later?! Talk about a crazy coincidence and some good luck!
I have one from the same company VISM that does both front and rear sights. I have the Glock 19 and the CZ 2075 RAMI which has dove tails front and rear.
YOU COMPLETELY FORGOT to use small windows cutout of each side of tool to check the clearance of your slide and the sight pusher oh, and they recommend that you have a gap of two business cards between slide and pusher.... they also state in the manual that rear sights might go in easier one way than the other and I found on my glock 43 installing for the left to the right was easier than the right to left, otherwise great video it really helped!
Nice job ! In my opinion, the rear night sight would go in easier with a drop of WD40 and the pusher jaw as low as possible toward the base of the object!
You should absolutely put oil in the groove where the sight goes. Freezing it will help out also. In regard to tritium, TruGlo has their own source. Trijicon and Ameriglo are the same company, along with Meprolight. Meprolight does not use white rings around the viles. Then HiViz machines their own sights, uses Trijicon lamps, but not as good of quality of glass behind the lamps.
I returned this sites today. Work great at low light but not so good in light. They should add a little paint to them for daytime use so you can get point of aim quicker.
Great video. I promise Mr Magill is telling you the truth. Get a sight pusher! If you want to use a mallet and punch...be prepared to work. I eventually had to shave a little off to install sights on my M&P Shield. It's no fun taking a dremmel to a very expensive set of sights. Spend 10 bucks and get a cheap pusher from Amazon if you want l. Just get a pusher. You also get what you pay for with them. Spend more on a good one and it will be almost stress free lol
Really like the channel and 99% your right on the money..except on this, placing sights on any weapon you don't just 'eyeball' there are incremental measurement numbers on that sight pusher for a reason. I use a different type that's a little more precise with its measurements but same principle. I guess it'd be okay if you're just shooting a paper I mean who cares right? But if you're using this as an everyday carry firearm you really need to set them sites correctly it really could mean your life.
Lenny has sold me on this sight tool. I do ask the question however--does anyone wonder why Glock did not simply just go with a dovetailed front sight instead of this small screwed on front sight arrangement? Wouldn't it have been easier?
But is there a size difference in the dot itself, between the regular and the thin front sight? If the aging eye's acuity worsens, then you'd probably prefer the thin front sight. At least in poor light conditions, since the thin front sight allows more light through the gap to the rear sight hit your eye - i.e., the minimum external requirement to see.
All the talk about not marring the slide with the tool and he still did. Notice how he tried to cover it with his finger. In other views you could see it. Very informative videos though. I've learned a lot from Lenny.
Not just a mallet but a brass punch and throw your slide n sights n the freezer for a few hours over night if needed n theyll tap right in. First time i sent them right thru lol
I love your videos very helpful with that being said i hate your store worst response time and communication been waiting since april for a bunch of things
Why bother measuring the rear sight? Put the barrel in and use a laser bore sight alignment tool. Then you can align to the dot and not just guess if it's going to shoot straight...
Don’t know why but you’ve completely missed the viewing windows on the side, which are meant to be able to show you the clearance you have between the site pusher and the top of your slide?? That’s their whole purpose
A word of advice to all who may not know - DO NOT USE THIS SIGHT PUSHER. I have 30 years of firearms experience. I have used many sight pushers and without this one being properly shimmed above between the block and frame, it will rock back and forth, changing the angle. If you want a good way to mar your slide despite your alignment, this is the way to do it.
i had those on my 23. didn't really rock with them so i got some factory clock night sights from the clock store. They are bright lil babies unlike the front trijicon
Just received night sights for my Glock 21 from the Glock Store, and made first use of the, also newly acquired, VISM sight tool. Everything went smoothly, and according to plan. However, for a dweeb-wannabe gunsmith, such as myself, do I infer correctly from this video that centering the rear sight, by eyeball, is adequate calibration for shooting accuracy? In other words, is there an assumption that eyeball centering of the rear sight in its dovetail is enough to allow me to shoot accurately (other things being equal) out to a reasonable distance for this handgun?
I eyeballed my MeProLight sights during installation today and was hitting within 6" of bullseye from 50 feet away most shots with the G30S 🤷🏿♂️ I was leary as well but in rural Texas not too easy to find somewhere that'll do the install so as with many things I did it myself
Ya, this is a VERY old sight pusher that I would NOT recommend on anything other than Glock sights! You will break the damn pusher trying to take off S&W sights!
It’s too bad pressers don’t come with a way to measure and align the rear site with the front and center everything perfectly. Otherwise, using a nylon bushing to hammer sights in and out, and using a caliper to center - is an equal process to this.
I can listen to you talk all day.
Its like QVC for men.
I like how he didn’t give up and kept trying to get it right. he could have ended the video and did it off camera but this man doesn’t have a lazy bone in his body and loves to teach you can tell he has a true passion for Glock , teaching and making money !

I want to thank you Lenny, I got my sight pusher from the Glock Store. With your video I had success first time out installing sights on my 43X.
This guy is one of the best salesman on UA-cam.
If only the store had at least one thing in stock 😤
He IS
I have to give it to him... the videos are good and explanatory. Then every item is linked to the store. If not you can easily look up the item number. Very seamless. Unfortunately they are out of stock on a lot of stuff.
Excellent detail and real time process description. I like the patience and even the real mistakes shown that are part of the real process.
Gotta love Lenny. Gives us the safety talk, just because. Great advice, no ammo in the room where cleaning and assembly are done. He's the man. Looks like a great pusher, I'm ordering it.
Love how meticulous Lenny is, a true professional.
Just ordered that universal tool and the magnetic front sight tool. Just need to get some loctite and im ready to lose the oem sights. Thanks for posting this video!

Nice demonstration. Nice professional work.
Lenny, you're a little windy, buy after watching several sites on UA-cam, yours was the best. Thank you!
Best videos of their kind . This guy is a real pro and the video production is au pair with him.
30:58 you are correct, they should maintain the correct uninstall/install procedure... its been like that for a reason. easy way to remember is everything ends and begins on the ejection side of the slide.

Taping of the front sight is a great tip! Thank you
I paid like 75.00 in calif you got yours from the GS wtf
Good thing you show your mistakes, we all learn from them as well. Good job, thanks.
Lenny Magill, the Bob Ross of the Gun World! There are no mistakes, just happy accidents!! ;)
Start watching at 16:00 if you just wanna know how to use the rear sight pusher.
Thank you!
Thank You
Not all heros wear capes.
Lenny does like to hear himself talk...
thanks
When I used this tool to install TFX Pros on my Glocks, I was able to measure exactly 1/8th inches from each side of the sights to the ends of the dovetail cutouts. I used a metal flat-ruler and an illuminated magnifying glass to verify.
A 15mm socket fits on the adjustment worm gear nicely. It is easy to measure in 1/6 of a turn (hex head gear) to get the adjustment just right.
Can't wait to stop by the New Nashville store..Congrats on having a gun shop in a gun friendly state..
I have Trijicon HD on my Beretta 96A1 and I have Truglo day and night sights on my Glock 30S. I love both sights.
Cant wait for your nashville store to open lenny!!!! Its a 3 hour drive for me to Nashville but its definitely gonna be worth having every glock part and aftermarket parts plus milling and stippling all in one store. Be safe and God Bless, Stay safe and carry a weapon!
I love the fact that the GS will install for free! I was about to buy the sights & a Sight Pusher Tool. Gotta luv the GS
Lenny is awesome! I've learned a lot by watching his videos. Thanks, Lenny.
Great tool! Made my sight replacement easy!!
I started the video. I had no idea what was even in the VISM bag when I hit play. When he started talking, I started trying to figure out the tool myself. I had installed and centered out my rear sight before he even had the slide off that glock. Holy shit dude.

That was a good tutorial Lenny gave. AWESOME
Excellent video. Works great for H&K P2K as well.🤙🏾
Also explain too newbies how a barrel isn't always centered in the slide as well. Sometimes the rear sight may need too be a hair off center too match the barrel.
Excellent, I'm in SD also. Subbed. Just bought that pusher. Ruger p95 is uber tight rear sight, wish luck.
Finally catching up to what amazon has been selling for some time now..👍🏽
He means now The Glock Store sells it in house. So new to their inventory. Licensed distributor.
I just bought these exact same sights and tool and they were delivered this morning and now I see glockstore puts out this video a few hours later?! Talk about a crazy coincidence and some good luck!
My guy know how to turn a 5 secs flip a coin vid into a hour video I’m 💀
If the slide press was closer to the top of the receiver top, it would slide on easier. You were torquing it from the middle, instead of the bottom.

Never put WD 40 on it, put the rear sight in the freezer for an hour, then heat up the grooves on the slide, there you go.
You should absolutely put oil in the groove where the sight goes. Freezing it will help out also.

Great video. thanks. Any idea on how long you should let the loctite dry prior to shooting? 24hrs? Thanks
I returned this sites today. Work great at low light but not so good in light. They should add a little paint to them for daytime use so you can get point of aim quicker.

Lenny,
you is the mang!
Oh no we are screwed, by the power of the screw. Cool tool. Also a 1 inch machinist square would work wonders on the front sight
I can’t imagine removing the rear sight without the UPRST.
This guy is identical to ALF. Do you remember ALF? He came back, in the form of a glock seller.
Lmao! 😆
Lenny has sold me on this sight tool.
I do ask the question however--does anyone wonder why Glock did not simply just go with a dovetailed front sight instead of this small screwed on front sight arrangement? Wouldn't it have been easier?
I've had it a habit to ammo check guns at gun stores. I take out the mag and everything. Hell I even stick my pinkie in the chamber too.
But is there a size difference in the dot itself, between the regular and the thin front sight?
If the aging eye's acuity worsens, then you'd probably prefer the thin front sight. At least in poor light conditions, since the thin front sight allows more light through the gap to the rear sight hit your eye - i.e., the minimum external requirement to see.
good job covering the scratch lenny
yea i saw him trying to hide that big time!
Just bought this item. Love it!
Omg Lenny you are so amazing! Thank you so much!
Did you have to be so close to the slide with the tool like that? Could it be up higher on the sight and further from the slide?
All the talk about not marring the slide with the tool and he still did. Notice how he tried to cover it with his finger. In other views you could see it. Very informative videos though. I've learned a lot from Lenny.
I found that a bore sighter is the only way to get center as eyeballing an get you close but not exact
I got the model that does BOTH front and rear....only $70 or so. Oil it before each use....sights can be a biatch to push...even S&W sights.
Wished you had a store in Clemson South Carolina
What's the larger rectangle piece of delrin without dovetails in the box?
Hi. Thanks for the video. A question please, would this work the same way for Red Dot base plate installation in lieu of rear sight?
Another great video, thanks. Hope things are going well with the Nashville shop, looking forward to the grand opening.
Seems the purpose of the rear sight pusher was to not mar the slide, yet the top of the slide was marred. Is that operator error or pusher error?
BOTH PANTERS TAPE MY FRIEND
I like the Real Avid tool, but it snapped and I lost two attachments pushing out a stubborn pin in my Gen4 G41.
Not just a mallet but a brass punch and throw your slide n sights n the freezer for a few hours over night if needed n theyll tap right in. First time i sent them right thru lol
This really work new sights in freezer to ?
Great Video
Nice video Lenny. How goes the Nashville Store? I am really looking forward to it's opening. Any news on timelines? Hoping to see you there.
I love your videos very helpful with that being said i hate your store worst response time and communication been waiting since april for a bunch of things
Why bother measuring the rear sight? Put the barrel in and use a laser bore sight alignment tool. Then you can align to the dot and not just guess if it's going to shoot straight...
Great video!
I'm surprised you used red loctite. Red loctite is meant for permanent installations. I cant imagine ever getting that off when you want to change it.
Red is fine if you're putting a steel bolt into a steel hole. Red loctite can tear up softer metals though.
Glock 17 gen 5 will be me next hand gun
Lenny, what size mounting hole in the blue site pusher? I like the pusher!
Hear some issues about the part that pushes the sights in and out being made of pot metal and prone to breaking.
Anyone have word on that?
Good job! Thank you so much!
Great video as always Lenny. You have a very soothing voice. What’s the proposed opening date for the Nashville store?
American Patriot
I was wondering about that as well.
I went on the website & can not find the magnetic front sight tool.
Amazon "Real Avid 4-in-1 Tool for Glock Handguns Platform"
Would it work on front dovetail sights? e.Sigs?
Love your Videos Lenny
Don’t know why but you’ve completely missed the viewing windows on the side, which are meant to be able to show you the clearance you have between the site pusher and the top of your slide?? That’s their whole purpose
Anyone know the mag extension that’s on that Glock ?
why trijicon dosen't sell regular straight angle rear sights for the HR line?didnt they use to?i hate frickin U notch rear sights
Slide pusher seems quite complicated. Even instructor seems to be confused while using it.
Will this work on suppressor sights?
as he slathers the screw in loctite lol messing with ya. great video
I'm afraid my slide will break or crack, pushing in the new sight is very tight and hard
Do You still install for free?
Where is my order Lenny has been a while !!
Great video, thanks, but this is how you turn a 5 min video into a college class
Poor table got all scratched up @ 16:29
Will the sight pusher work with front sights installed in a dovetail?
WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
A word of advice to all who may not know - DO NOT USE THIS SIGHT PUSHER. I have 30 years of firearms experience. Very helpful. Thanks for the response.
@@skwest 💯🤠🍻

Have you found a better sight pusher for S&W
It’s too bad pressers don’t come with a way to measure and align the rear site with the front and center everything perfectly. Otherwise, using a nylon bushing to hammer sights in and out, and using a caliper to center - is an equal process to this.
Do you guys give veterans discount
12:14 did his inner preppy girl come out?
Lmao 😂😂
he probably got some lil rich daughters getting into his lexicon
I don’t get it. He didn’t do anything other than point at the nut.
