Really appreciated the super honest pause in this vid ❤ also can you please share the liquid blush you used?!? I’m obsessed and need it asap 🥰😘 love yous!
I had glasses from from kindergarten through 2nd grade. Started wearing contacts summer between 2nd and 3rd grade. So happy I switched to contacts and honestly wished my mom switched me sooner because I did get bullied for wearing glasses those first couple years of elementary school. I only wear glasses at night before bed. I loved this video. so good to see your strength and confidence shine through- she gets it from you!
Jessica congratulates on your baby !!! I can relate to you in so many ways . You are a wonderful mother! Brent is A LUCKY MAN!!!! Give yourself grace your amazing . God bless you and your family .
I never felt the need to wear contacts.. BUT i was determined to wear contacts before my wedding, which was just this past november! I started practicing with the eye dr at the beginning of summer and by the time the wedding came, I could put them in and take them out on my own! I now just wear contacts for date nights or special occassions! I still favor my glasses, im just more comfortable in them(:
You are so strong! I have been a fan since you were in college and its amazing to watch you evolve. I would love if you could make a house tour and I also couldn't help but chuckle at the closing when you said "see you next tuesday" lol. Sending lots of love xx
I wore glasses up until 7th grade. Highly recommend making the contacts transition at that age because I was responsible enough to know how to take them in/out and it was perfect right before high school because I felt so confident in my contacts. Also, everyone before middle school is rocking that glasses look and no one cares!! At least when I was a kid.
Just here to say I’ve been a follower since your apartment in FL before you got pregnant and you are so strong, such an inspiration in motherhood for me, and I just love youuu🫶🏼
I can totally relate. My baby was born with a congenital health issue. He had procedures done while in the womb, but he needed to come out, so I was induced at 34 weeks. He had a 3 week NICU stay and the whole experience was traumatic. He’s 8.5 months now and 100% healed and perfect. It kind of felt like as soon as he got out of the NICU, most people just wanted us to move on already or just be happy. It’s a lot to process and work through. I’m fine for the most part, but I’m over protective of him, I have moments of feeling anxious about things with him, and I can’t even look at photos from the first 3 weeks of his life without feeling completely awful. It’s definitely something I’m working through- but I just wanted to say I relate to you! ❤
I grew up wearing glasses (got a prescription in 3rd grade) and I’d say middle school is a good time to transition to contacts. At that stage, you’re mature enough for self-care and that was when I remember I started being outcast for looking different. My only regret is being to scared to ask my mom for contacts before high school
My son switched to contacts when he started playing football in junior high. We wanted him to be able to care for the contacts and his eyes properly to avoid infections. He used daily contacts.
Hi Jess! I went from glasses to contacts around 15 years old. I’m now 43 and just started wearing my glasses again to give my eyes a break. I’m going to try and not wear contacts as much anymore.
Soo excited for all these videos! I didn't realize I had bad eyesight until I was in middle school.... genuinely have no clue how I was functioning like what. i pretty much immediately got contacts and it was difficult for a while not gonna lie. Sometimes it would take me like an hour to get them in or take them out and the frustration would sennddd me especially if I had to go somewhere and I was running out of time 🤣 also getting used to touching your eyes is weird, I hate anything near my eyes it freaks me out but you do get used to it over time. I have no clue what age kids can start with contacts, it might be younger than middle school age but GOODLUCK, it will be a journey that's for sure!
She is so cute with glasses ❤ I got glasses when I was in 2nd grade I believe. but I didn’t wear start using contacts until 8th grade. I could not get over how weird it was to put something in my eyes!! But eventually I figured it out and now I use both (: I definitely am keeping an eye on my daughters vision because of my experience. I could’ve used glasses much sooner.
I was 12-13ish you have to be responsible with taking them out (meaning the kid wearing the contacts) I’ve heard horror stories with kids saying they took them out but really didn’t and then they’re in too long and it like sticks to their cornea 😭 so definitely when they’re more responsible
When I was younger my vision kept getting worse each year so I switched from glasses to contacts when I was 12/13 since I played sports and my vision got too bad to just not wear anything
Haven’t watched in a quite a while, I used to really enjoy her content. Nowadays it just seems so lackluster, as if the passion isn’t there anymore. Idk but I hope all is truly well, because these new videos seem a little forced.
Hey 👋 I am not sure if your son wears a helmet....if so, careful with contacts while playing any sport that requires a helmet. My hubby when he was in HS was on the football team and his sweat dripped into his eyes and caused an eye infection because of it getting stuck behind the eye contacts...
I miss your Day in the lifes! Also would love cooking, hauls, house tour!

Everyone processes trauma differently & it’s ok to take your time! ❤️

the way you explain makeup works with my brain so I appreciate it 👸🏼
I switched to contacts in jr high, which I think is a great age bc at that age you’re starting to become more responsible.
