the freaking 2x8 under it is so hard, it just keeps saying no space

Yeah i know, ether it's because dev shortly after did update the chamber to make it more exploit proof and that mainy broke the 2X8 to place there. but you can sometime fix it if you reload base on other location & rotate the base to. if still not you can try to use 2X4 or 2x2... 1X8 2 times so you make it 2X8 with 1X8 blueprint (just try place smaller blueprints there
