Well told and from the heart. Inspiring to hear about your journey. I'm on the other end of the journey. 67, quit working due to the relentless BS (last job, 4 CEOs in 18 months). Building out a truck camper, and I'm gone in the Spring. Your videos are priceless. Concise, and thorough. I honor your honesty and integrity. Peace.

Hi Leon, thanks for listening to my story. Man, I can see how frustrating that many CEO's in such a short time would make things. Awesome to hear about the truck camper project, I'm sure it will be a blast out there, so much to see. Thanks again for tuning in!

Greetings from Australia. Thanks for sharing your story with us, Ross. I have learned a lot from your videos. I converted four vans for our use over the last 40 years. I wish I had access to videos like yours in earlier years. I worked in the Petroleum & Chemical Industries for 37 years and finally decided to resign and start my business as a Technical Author. I enjoyed being "free" for the first time in my working life. I did this for 6 years and then"retired". I am 83 and enjoy life watching others like you dare to go their own way.

Hi there, thanks for tuning into my story and great to hear you've enjoyed some of the other videos. Interesting to hear about your path as well, and great to see the series you did on the Renault Trafic conversion. I find that people who build and travel in vans never seem give it up once they start. I suppose your 4 vans in 40 years corroborates that. Very cool. Thanks again for stopping by, and for sharing some of your story-

What an Inspirational share. Now I know why your videos are filled with heart and expertise at the same time. I used your consulting service to help my home backup power/cargo camper build and encourage others to consult with you as well. You do a lot more than vans.

Ross, thank you for sharing the road you took on your journey to where you are today. I appreciate all the information that you provide in your UA-cam videos and how you clearly articulate that information. You make it possible for knuckle heads like me to gain an understanding of the various components needed to properly design and build an electrical system for my 2023 Winnebago Minnie 2529RG. Thank you again and best wishes for continued success and enjoyment in your career and life. Thanks…

Hi Colin, thanks for the kind words and for tuning in to my story. Good luck with the Minnie electrical system. I was called out to look at a Forest River tow-behind the other day. I was shocked that they are not really off-grid at all! I see the "inverter prep" listed in the specs for the Minnie. Hopefully that allows you to bolt on an inverter pretty easily. Anyhow, thanks again for tuning in and leaving a comment!

Hey Ross, I think I told you some of this at class in Houston..I had my IT systems contracting business for 25 years, got tired of the paperwork employees etc.. Retired at 65. Cuz I knew I had a good social Security check, and 401k.. but went crazy..
They need a class on how to retire without going nuts.. I inherited being a workaholic from my dad, so I felt if not working ….you get it.. Drove a school bus, then worked at Lowe’s Hardware, the worked at U-Haul .. got tired of people..at 70, bought my trailer, took your course, went to you class, now just travel around .. visit grandkids.. your doing it right ..people like us find ways to dig inside find solutions to life and keep on moving forward.. till we meet again . Ken Bain..

Hi Ken, thanks for sharing a little more of your story. I can see how you would get tired of running that IT business, but also how you could get tired of not working...it's sort of a conundrum. I agree, we need more info on retiring. Sometimes I guess we just need a change, not exactly to stop doing things. Anyhow, thanks for tuning in and for coming out to the class in Houston! Talk to you soon!

As I am making the transition to the R.V. nomadic lifestyle at this time.
I find this particular video inspirational!.
Helps me feel confident that choosing to separate myself from the 9 to 5 grind and explore what's over that horizon is what I need to grow at this time in my life.
Plus, I appreciate your insights into r.v. electrical systems. It definitely helps that I found your channel at the time I am building out my own r.v. power system. Already prevented me from making serious mistakes!.

Hey there, thanks for tuning in! Great to hear that my story has inspired you as you look to take the path less traveled in your own life. Also great to hear this channel has been a help with your RV power system. Best of luck out there as you develop your next chapter!

Hi Lisa, thanks for tuning in and great to hear the part about regrets resonated with you. I had that feeling for about 9 years. Knew I needed to leave but wouldn't do it until I finally did. Thanks for checking out my story, and best of luck on your own path!

There is so much value to learn from this one video that if someone doesn't learn anything is because they are dead. I wish you were still doing builds for others because I am looking into having one build but I completely understand your motive for not doing it anymore. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hey JR, thanks for tuning in and for the kind words! I'm glad you found my stories valuable. I still keep my hands on various projects, but yes at this time I've stopped traveling around doing builds. Feel free to reach out if you need consulting or something. Thanks again for checking out my story!

I really enjoyed this video, Ross. It was great to hear your story and get to know you a little bit. I don't think people who work for others fully appreciate the courage and the effort it takes to risk everything and go out on your own. It takes a special person. And I think you're right that there are people in your life who will pull for you to fail to affirm their own choices in life. It is important to understand this is just a defense mechanism. Anyway, I've always respected your authenticity and the way you are straightforward as you express yourself. I look forward to future videos.

Hi Tim, thanks for checking out my story and for the support. It can indeed be a leap to go out on your own. I hope this video gave a balanced view of it. And yes people can act kind of strange sometimes regarding whether you make it or not. Thanks again for tuning in and for participating in the conversation!
