Have been a John Wayne fan all my entire life.Loved the fact I could take my grandchildren to see his movies and not worry about what would show up on the screen.No nudity or lots of blood and guts or back shooting, all family movies. He is missed and will always be remembered for the great man he was.

Living in Newport Beach I can say the J.W. backyard is beautiful. I was shocked by the price, our home is 1700 sq feet and we paid half of the last owners purchasing price five years ago.
The water side looks pretty much like the photo still. The home is off PCH one in a gated community.
We use to see the Wild Goose ,I think it may have been used for parties. I’ll have to keep my eye out for it.
I’m still amazed about the price, we felt lucky to purchase our home at the price we paid. A home we had to remodel , two years of construction .
But hearing the waves crashing and the weather and beautiful ocean views is worth every penny. Very understandable why Mr. Wayne loved his bit of Paradise.

It's sad that his house no longer exosts. Would love to know what became of his yacht. I still have my memories of his movies, would've been a sad life without Duke being a part of it.
