It could have been cut, but cawcaw missed that the Poison Tester of Lishu is genuinely concerned for Lishu now. Maomao was saying at the end that at least Lishu has a servant who’s genuinely concerned for her now.
I genuinely felt sorry for Fengming. She sincerely adored Ah-Duo and her son and would have served them for the rest of her life. Fengming's honest error, however, resulted in the death of Ah-Duo's son, and after discovering the truth, she made matters worse by poisoning Lishu. It didn't explain what she tried to do to Lishu, but you could see her regret and how much she didn't want Ah-Duo to know. She eventually turned herself up and was killed for her crimes. And, according to Maomao's suggestion, Fengming was also able to keep the cause of the baby's death hidden from Ah-Duo until the end. 😭😭😭
Eeeh, I really don´t. Yes, she made a mistake and killed Ah-Duo´s kid by accident. Sad. But, to cover that up, she was gonna kill another kid, who was basically Ah-Duo´s step-daughter. (Well, step-mom, but who cares about the details. xD) In the end, she only cared about herself and the truth about what she did coming out, than about Ah-Duo´s feelings. It reminds me of the case with the powder, where the lady-in-waiting kept using it, only wanting her lady to look "beautiful", not caring/(knowing) it was the same stuff that killed her baby.
Overanalyzing is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you pick up on all the clues and watch anime seriously, but on the other hand, you can get blinded by your own analysis when the answer is actually really simple. That’s why I’m glad Cawcaw actually reads comments on twitch and youtube. I get to see his crazy analysis, but at the same time, I don’t have to worry about him misunderstanding or getting lost in his own theories because the comments will correct him. There’s another reactor who loves to overanalyze, Semblance of Sanity. The difference is, they don’t read comments. In the end, they get stuck in their own analysis and misunderstand this series with every episode. They end up blaming the show and confused when their analysis turns out to be wrong, they don't realize many obvious things that happen in the series because of their crazy theories.
Yeah, I think when I first watched this one the moving parts misdirected me from the character design of the "lost son" so I just filed it away for later. The nature of the double/triple misdirection allows the mystery to stay unresolved. The next question, why was MauMau placed where she could save Liushu?
I really liked SoS but their reaction to Apothecary really highlighted my issue with their reactions. Their tendency to convince themselves of these insane theories results in them getting upset when it doesn’t turn out the way they wanted. Or a preoccupation with getting the plot right that they completely miss the point or meaning behind certain things. Teaboo has this issue too. Thats why Cawcaw too. I like how he theorizes but he also doesn’t let himself become obsessed with one idea. He allows the series to correct him, doesn’t assume he’s always right, and allows the comments to help out if necessary.
They did the same with Link click, it was hilarious that they were so convinced that two characters were siblings, even when we saw their first meeting. And many others misunderstandings, which were so frustrating to see.
@@BelBelle468best part about cawcaw is that he is self aware and either laughs or gets mind-blown when his theories are disproven, he has positive reactions to it and likes the show even more as a result.
The implication is that Jinshi is the current emperor's son with Ah-Duo, but he was swapped as a baby with the emperor's mother's baby so he grew up officially as the current emperor's brother, who's said to be sickly and nobody ever sees. But the truth is that he was entrusted by the emperor to pose as a high ranking eunuch and manage the rear palace for him, since it's implied they trust each other. It's also implied Jinshi knows he's Ah-Duo's son, and thus also the son of his "brother." Whether the emperor himself or the empress dowager know this too is unclear. The baby that died due to Feng-Ming's carelessness was the emperor's actual sibling, who was swapped with Jinshi and Ah-Duo intended to raise as her own baby. That's probably why she was sad when the baby died, but not actually heartbroken like Lihua when her own baby died.
I did read that in the comments and catched it in the manga, but since it is such a turn-a-round, I'm confused to this day if Jinshi is the brother or son of the emperor. While we at it: I'm also not convinced if Jinshi's father is the current emperor or was the former emperor. Also there must be a number of people who knew the swapping happened, since MaoMao's father was banned because he didn't noticed.
@@orcajorca7215 Yeah, there's still some stuff up in the air and it's unclear how many people know of the swap and what they think about it, like for instance the emperor and his mother who raised Jinshi as her own son. Are they aware that he's Ah-Duo's son? If so, why were they okay with raising Jinshi as the prince? Do they think Ah-Duo didn't know about the swap? If Ah-Duo wasn't faithful to the then-emperor and Jinshi is some other dude's son, that raises more questions about who knows what and why.
@momochan4peace He's behaving a bit like Maomao there. He has all the clues but is deliberately averting his eyes because of how much trouble it bring to confirm it.
Fengming died for killing the emperor's brother who was being raised by Aduo. And traditional Chinese belief dictates the punishment would also be on the family so Fengming's family losing their business and her dying is punishment for that family harming the emperor's family. As for everyone in business with her family you evict them out of the palace for security reasons.
That’s the truth, but they can’t use that as a reason to execute her. That’s a secret and can’t be revealed. They executed her for trying to poison Lishu and covering up her crime for drowning the servant girl. But since trying to poison a concubine is still a grave offence, her family is connected.
From this episode, I concluded that Jinshi knew that Ah Duo is his actual mother. Why would he be sad and cry for “someone’ on the eve of Ah Duo’s leaving the Palace? Because he knew she was his mother but couldn’t acknowledge her, and was sad that she’s leaving the palace and he can’t see her frequently now. Hence he was sad that she’s leaving.
Jinshi does suspect that Ah Duo is his mother but disregards that idea. He still chooses to believe that he is the son of the previous emperor and not the current one.
both babies were boys, they didn’t mention that either was a girl. you were just too focused on trying to fit maomao into the equation last episode that you probably misheard 😂
Yes she poisoned the food to kill Lishu, and the swap was Lishu's squad being bitches. This accidentally most likely saved Lishu's life. And yes Lishu is a victim the previous emperor would have abused her which is why she's there. No one would marry her, political reasons, and the current emperor thinking of her like a younger sister or daughter brings her back only for someone to try to kill her and her followers being shitty. The one good thing is she's thankfully not been touched by either emperor.
So, the whole Jinshi swapping idea.... this is actually very chinese inspired.... because if you watch alot of chinese historical drama (with live actors).... there is a story about a famous judge in china (very dark skin) named Bao Zheng. One of his most famous cases was the story of the prince swapped with a cat. Where political drama in the palace between 2 concubines at the time led to one of the concubine to plot a swapping of the other concubine son with a cat during childbirth. My guess.... this part of apothecary diaries is inspired by that famous case.
I don't see people pointing out, but yo ushouldn't give honey to an infant even if it's not from a poisionos flower bc it can cause botulism. (Bc their immune system is too weak.)
Jinshi got a list of Fengming`s family members in the end and due to how Maomao got into the palace we can deduct that Fengming`s family or its associates have kidnapped Maomao and she can get into crossfire
18:46 Apothecary, doctor, detective, therapist...
By reducing FengMing's sentence to only her death... She's a lawyer too! 😂

9:02 Yes Maomao got the poison because it got swapped but the poison targeted lishu you are correct about that
29:16 bro just started rapping 🤣
Cacaw was too smart for this show.. sometimes even his jokes were on point!! Hahahhaa
This reaction was amazing. I loved every minute of it.
Cawcaw is so big brained, so many reaction channels don't figure this out in the same episode
Atleast the stuff with Jinshi's swap at birth 28:37
Jinshi thinks he is the brother of emperor but he is actually his son
Jinshi knows the truth, he's lowkey really smart
He knows
@momochan4peace I think he only has suspicions for now

Episode 11: You have now reached the top of the first big hill of the rollercoaster that is Apothecary Diaries. Hold on tight.

“Not yet my young anime detective… not yet…” 😂
All I am going to do is quote Gyokukyou: "Ignorance is a sin."
Fengming is voiced by Yuki Tsukumo VA (Todo's master in JJK), aka also Bellemere in One Piece (Nami's adopted mother)
She also plays Akana (Ranma½), both for OG and remake

He is not just cooking he burning it🔥

I remember having those kind of flowers in my house and I sip the sweet juice of the flower
Yay
I took a short break from youtube so I'd meet an apothecary Diaries reaction when I came back
Let bro cook
When it comes to Lishu’s shitty life, this is far to be over.
Nice
Don't you remember the empire like big oppai. The previous one is a lolicon.
First ❤
