I like this sprint speed, the U14 sprint speed was too much; one didn't detonate or outrun the explosion of AP mines.. you could catch all vehicles up to a certain point.. one had to adjust the aim to the new speed of the targets.. made the transport trucks almost useless... it introduced more problems than solutions.
New speed didn't change much, infantry still doing nothing but chasing tanks with satchels. BM changed the speed in U8 for a reason, not sure why a simple revert is so difficult.
@smoggless yes but in reality armor can usually outpace the infantry. BM still lowered the speed in U8 for a reason, seems stupid to spend over a year getting back to those same decisions.
I don't care about pre update 8 speed. What about a comparison to the old runspeed. Prior to them increasing it by like 20% That's the slow runspeed I want. Game no longer feels tactical. Bring lethality back to weapons. Bring back actual suppression to the game that actually pinned someone down. Game is a joke compared to the kick starter dream they sold us.

I feel like that was happening to me earlier too. Not in this patch but just a couple weeks ago. I thought maybe it was my keyboard as it’s wireless. Is yours wireless too?
If you are asking this because of the different foliage on the clips, it is because of different graphic settings, but still the same map & location. Left: Low settings; Right: high settings
I’d probably agree to disagree. It was perfect before the British update and this speed patch is a step in the right direction. The previous sprint speed was way too quick as infantry were able to keep up with heavy and medium tanks. Not to mention that the higher speed rate allowed for players to abuse the serpentine zig-zag technique like they were playing COD.
We noticed immediately. What we didn't like the most, was the hit registration errors that came with it. I can handle faster sprinters, I can't with hitting a sprinter with an entire magazine just to watch him sprint off into the sunset...
It was very apparent to most players with significant time in the game. It had a substantial impact on game pacing, the viability of lone wolfing, and tanking.
@@timndel yes, the hit detection and other bugs were a much bigger issue. My group and I have hundreds of hours in the game each and we didnt really feel like a change in sprint speed that offered a few seconds over hundreds of yards impacted us much, and we say that as tankers and infantrymen.
I love it when people complain that “oh you run faster than a heavy tank” well yeah the heavy tank is the slowest vehicle in the game of your not supported by infantry your dead anyways

That’s kinda what infantry has done since the history of tanks an satchels being put together.

at the monent you are faster then 30mph tank.....i think it must be way way slower
Yes, I think I'll finally get back into Hell Let Loose. The increased speed was too much.
People act like the U14 sprint speed was like everyone became Sonic the Hedgehog, when in reality I doubt most people even noticed.
I mean yeah, but, it definitely was pretty quick. It made things like running the border to find nodes that little bit less of a chore and the like.
