Sweet! Thats good to know for sure, I don't think I had my playstation hooked up when I was making this video so couldn't check. I'll pin the comment because everyone should play this game! thanks for watching!
I remember downloading this for free on Xbox 360 and thinking it was shovelware. It took me about 8 years later to actually play it once the Xbox Series X was already out, and I'm happy to say I really enjoyed it!
Thats awesome! I wish it had gotta the backwards compate treatment, I would love the option to play on my series x instead of having to hook up the 360, I don't know how much live mine has in it Appreciate you watching and sharing! Thanks!
@@JimmyPotatoTV Forgive me, I may have been unclear. I don't have an Xbox Series X, I still play my 360 a lot and that's where I played Dust. I think you should connect up your old consoles. I just recently finished Disgaea 1 on my PS2. Backlog gaming for realz!
yeah lol when I found out that stampy's skin was not a cat it led me down a rabbit hole and as of typing this I just made it to the moon bloods volcano base and I'm absolutely loving this game

This game just popped into my head, and I was very surprised to see a recent video about it. Bought it back in highschool when it first came out. Fun game from what I remember :)
Man I also remember picking this up for free on the 360 as I was adventurous with my games when I was young. This game acts like déjà vu for me every time I see it. I definitely need to replay the game and understand the story more.
if you like comedy that breaks the 4th wall you are going to love/adore/hug fidget, fidget is the small orange flying mammal that is a constant form of sarcastic an lore breaking comedy. If you like snarky sidekicks you are goin to love her!
Still thoroughly enjoy coming back to this one every few years. I own it on Xbox, Steam, and even managed to snag one of those Limited Run cartridge releases for the Nintendo Switch. It's great playing that one portably, and it feels great on there!
I remember 100% completing this game on the highest difficulty years ago. At that difficulty, the fights become brutal. Enemies can kill you in just a few hits, it becomes tough to stay alive, and bosses become really dangerous, even with control of the flow of combat always being heavily skewed in your favor. So by the time I had reached Gaius at max level with the best equipment, I felt unstoppable and like a master of the game's mechanics. But Gaius still provided a very fun, decent challenge.
Pot commited, it's felt daunting this month I'll admit, but I'm still learning alot about making good videos, and comments like this fuel me, so thank you!
I remember playing it a bit on my bro's ps4 when i was 7. And recently I've found it & played 3 almost non-stop hours on pre-max difficulty. I don't even like slashers that much, but that game just make me feel so cool so & don't mind that too much. Also i don't mind character designs because they all just charismatic & down to earth. And there's a Meat Boy in it. I think this is might be my second favorite game.
@MintRutaceae I have that one on my backlog as well! Bought it when it released cause it looked cool, never got around to it. I'll try get to it soon and make a video. Thanks for watching and sharing!

Well I stopped buying games at the end of 2022, so there is everything from God of War Ragnarok, to TMNT on Wii. I allow myself $5 for each completion to go towards any new stuff, and honestly in 2023 I enjoyed gaming more then I have in a long time. The variety has been great, def some strange ones, and I have a good chunk of indies in there as well. Currently playing Last of Us 2! Appreciate you checking out the video! Thanks!
My favorite videogame is about a groupe of anthropomorhic animal children that go on a quest to save there families. Its a war drama. And one thing like are the animal character designs is that they remind me of Disney cartoons like Gummibears. Funny how in this your review you say that like its a bad thing. I know you adressed it. Different opinions and all that but its still funny how the same thing can be a positiv to one and a negativ to another.
100% And the more important part, which I should have made more clear is, the aesthetic, even though it's not really my thing, didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game. I should have phrased it more like, "hey, even though visually this wasn't really my favorite style, the game play is amazing, lesson to be learned for some gamers out there who never take a chance on anything". I'm willing to bet there are gamers out there who probably wouldn't enjoy the gameplay of this game, but would still like the game overall because of the way it's presented. Really appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts, these are my favorite types of comments
Luckly Dust is one that became available on STEAM. The 360 Store itself IS still open from what I have read and seen. Until July sometime, though I haven't tried to purchase anything from it outside of "free" Choplifter DLC in a really long time. I think you can still buy this game until the shut down if you have a working 360 and an xbox live account.
Thank you for making this review. In this game the main villain and his minions are partially based off the real Japanese war criminals that committed the genocide against Koreans during the occupation, with the Gando Massacre being the biggest "influence" on the story. Dust wasn't entirely made by Dean alone, aside of the soundtrack and SFX being done by other people, his wife also helped him with the artwork, in particular she provided the concept art and colored the characters for the cutscenes and in-game portraits. This is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious indie projects ever made by anyone, most of the indie games are usually made in the 8/16 bit style and it's sad to see that there are so few indie games with the modern 2D art style like those of Dust and Ori.
Lol that's crazy! It started bugging me so I added up the amount of incomplete that was sitting on my shelf and digital and thought, damn, I think I need to play some of these lol. You probably got some real gems in that collection. Thanks for watching!
@JimmyPotatoTV yeah same. Mine kinda inflated when I started doing UA-cam years ago, I got a ton of amazing bundles on thing like fanatical and humble bundles. Tons of indie games and Aa and AAA alike. All thinking hey, I can make videos on all this. But then I realized I was spending 1 hour recording 4 hours editing and running the different socials and just realized I was robbing myself of my only safe haven. My only hobby. So I stopped doing it. I might try streaming again but yea.... not the best idea but I always have stuff to play! Lol
@LordSgtSavy Def hard to find a balance, appreciate you sharing. I've always told myself when it isn't fun anymore I'll stop, and I'm still enjoying it, I enjoy the learning process and trying to get better at editing, and writing. It’s a masterpiece. The easiest way to access it now on console is on PS4 or back compat on PS5.
