- There are less than 10 kilometers from Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region to the front line. Almost every hour, Russians shell the town with mortars, Grads, Uragans, from aircraft and with phosphorus shells. There are almost no intact buildings in the city. Before the war, 14,000 people lived here, now there are no more than 2,000.

8 years ago and up until now Ukraine has been shelling the people who don't want to be part of them. They have been going through this same hell but for way longer. But for some reason they are not mentioned at all. The people of Donetsk and Luhansk, called separatists and treated as trash in Ukraine. For some reason Ukrainians never want to mention that because it doesn't fit their narrative of being the only victims of this conflict. The people of Easternmost Ukraine have been suffering for almost a decade from both sides. I don't know why DNR/LNR folks are treated as if they were less human than the goverment that wants to retake the lands they lived on for generations.
We, people of Ukraine, are very grateful for all thr help and support from UK.

The ordinary Ukrainian people are so brave. An inspiration to us all in the face of any adversity we ourselves may face. And those poor dogs, shaking. My little dog shakes uncontrollably if it thunders or local hunters shoot nearby. I cannot imagine life for people or their animals under constant bombardment. If there is a Hell, I hope there's a special place reserved for Putin and his henchmen.

Animals suffer a lot. One of my cats just heard an air raid siren in a yt video when he slept and was horrified 'cause they're so used to it now & know some explosions might follow. Fuck that guy and all who support him.

It's unfathomable that in this day this is how Russia choses to fight like absolute cowards, it just shows that they are not a civilized ppl. they are barbarians who glory in their history of so long ago and imagine that they are still cultured.
No electricity for 5 months, that is sad for those who remain in that town but maybe the authorities believe that it is either to dangerous to do repairs there or that it will be for nothing because the town is still too close to the front line and because of the continued shelling, is not worth it to fix yet.
