    Hi,
    I would really like to do a license and learn paragliding but I am really scared because of all the accidents I've seen online. I like to watch test flights for the most common gliders on the market and from all the videos I have seen so far, you are the very first person I see take his hands of the brakes entirely and just chill ! I thought it was impossible to do so
    Anyway, thank you for the video, really relaxing

      Paragliding is a dangerous hobby, similar to motorcycling in terms of statistics, but you can do things to make it a lot safer. Choose the right equipment, fly in benign conditions and continue to improve your flying skills and you will see that you will be able to relax and chill while in the air :)

      It’s near kåseberga, south Sweden. It’s a beautiful soaring spot in summer

    Nice review! I've heard of other gliders in the hike and fly class as being more of a descent wing. Seems like it's doing pretty well coastal soaring here, but would you still classify it as more descent oriented, or can it hold it's own as a very light all-around wing if you're low in the weight range?

      @skate2hell  4 роки тому +3

      Matthew Matera it’s definitely more than a descent wing. Depending on the size it will be quite floaty. Performance wise you could compare it to other EN A‘s. Disclaimer: Because I am a part of NOVA this video is not a real review as such even though I try to get as much useful information across as possible.

      kerim jaspersen thanks! And durability compared to something slightly heavier like the Ibex 4? Very noticeable difference? I’ve got a separate kiting wing, so I wouldn’t be ground handling much at all, but it would be my main wing; I’m thinking it may be too light to handle 30-50 hours per year at varied launch sites.

      Matthew Matera I can only refer to what I have been told. If you would but 50h on it year after year you might want a new wing in 4-5 years. If it’s 30 ours it could last a bit longer. It’s a bit of a luxury to have very lightweight gear but it comes at a premium price as well. I remember the old harnesses that’s would last 20 years. Compared to my delicate lightness 2 they where build like a tank. The DOUBLESKIN has been very popular from day one and so far I am not aware of any quality issues. But being the lightest certified wing in its class you can’t expect it to be the most durable. It’s perfectly designed for hike and fly pilots I think, or for regular pilots who don’t care if they don’t get a lot of money for it after 4-5 years of heavy use.

    Thanks for video !
    I looking to buy Nova Ibex4 or Doubleskin. Please tell me, which is the size of this wing and how much was your total takeoff weight on this flight, and also whic is the model of harness.
    Thank you and fly safe.

      Hi, you are welcome. I flew the 20 with 82 kg. The lift was surprisingly good for its size and the handling was nice. I used a regular Nova Harness (ventus) with seat board but ideally I would combine it with something lighter like the Itus or if you go all out hike and fly you could go for something like the Montis. I hope that helps.

      I was annoyed about the bad sound on pg videos so I thought about making it better. I took a little zoom recorder with me and connected a lavalier microphone to it. The microphone has a little dead cat on (or should I say dead mouse, cause it’s so small) to protect it from wind sound. I also have it inside the helmet or wear it inside my sleeve. It’s a Rode mic and the zoom H1N recorder, but anything will work I guess.

      @skate2hell  5 років тому +2

      Yes! Ideal to boat around. But Nonts is also ideal for lazy pilots who want to drive to the takeoff and don't want to walk for more than 20 meters. The wing was designed with Hike & Fly enthusiasts in mind. :)
