I was there! Kick Axe opened the show, followed by Whitesnake. Quiet Riot was the headliner on their "Condition Critical" tour. If I'm not mistaken, I think that toward the end of Quiet Riot's set, they brought out a big birthday cake on stage and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to David. Such an awesome show. Crazy that it's 40 years this coming Sunday. Thanks for uploading this!
@@Snakehead1964 Thanks. That was OK. Very early days here as he's mainly copying the original solo from Saints & Sinners. I'm sure he changed it over time. Be nice to know the truth about his studio version... he says he can't remember recording one, Coverdale says he did but that it got 'lost'.

@@Snakehead1964 Brilliant playlist. Thanks for the work you do man
40 years ago! A shame more of these don't exist on video. Do any? Would love a good clear recording of Sykes playing Here I Go Again.
The only video with Sykes playing Here I Go Again is rather low quality: ua-cam.com/video/xX29vEu2h5Y/v-deo.html

@@blastfromthepast-o1d That was the last time he played the song live, it wasn't in the set for the rest of the year.
@@Snakehead1964 I've got in from Live in Glasgow, but haven't played it in a while.
