I really appreciate your taking the time to make this video. Thank you! Just to make sure I understand; The CME Rithmic data is used for order routing with your prop firm while CME Teton order routing is used for your live brokerage account and clearing firm (providing they support Teton) and the Denali data feed is for real time price data, market depth, but not order routing?
Rithmic data is completely separate. The CME data you have to pay separately on Sierra Chart which goes directly to CME. Prop firms work with 2 main data providers. Rithmic and CQG. With CQG you trade through Tradovate, TradingView and Ninja. Most other platforms including Sierra Chart work with Rithmic. All advanced packages in Sierra come with the Denali data by default and Teton order routing if for live accounts on compatible companies like EdgeClear and Stage 5. So basically Denali and Teton go hand in hand when you use live accounts. But for funded accounts as I went over in the video, Sierra requires an advanced package with Denali and live CME data to be able to then use Rithmic.
@@PriceActionVolumeTrader Thank you again. I understand which accounts require which data feeds. I also know what Denali and Teton order routing is, but I guess I’m still not clear what CME and Rithmic data is. In other words what kind of data do these feeds provide? Is it real time price and market depth data similar to Denali, or is rithmic data used for order routing, or both?
Rithmic connects your orders into CME servers basically. The CME is the organization that manages all trade for futures symbols likes ES, NQ, etc. So all trade volume data comes from them, and then that goes into connections like Rithmic or CQG that goes in the trading platforms. So what Sierra did with Teton, was basically connect your orders directly into CME clearing without going through another data provider so your commissions are lower.
Thank you again @@PriceActionVolumeTrader for your detailed and complete explanations. 🙏 These have been the best answers I've heard to-date making sense of what can be a confusing array of services related to the futures markets and what they're used for. This has really helped me a lot!
Thank you very much good information, appreciated. question do you have any suggestions for "FTT - Fast Track Trading" funding company set up on sierra chart and Ritmic ?
hi, thanks for the tutorial it really helped me navigate the sierra mess. do i need to pay a $34.99 membership fee with stage 5 ? or if i just deposit 100$ i have no other fees ?
Thank you for the tutorial, really explanatory. But I have one question that wasn't clarified or perhaps I missed. The trade simulation on Sierra Chart do we need to keep ON or OFF (as SIM)? Thank you
You keep it off. That is just an internal SIM within Sierra. So if you have that on then no trade data would go to whatever prop firm you are using. It is a great practice to thought.
@@PriceActionVolumeTrader Thank you for the explanation, I I was trying to trade with the SIM trade ON, but Sierra didn't let me take the trade. Hence, I switched to SIM traDe OFF, and now Sierra let me take positions. All my trades are going to the APEX evaluation account. This how this should work?
Great video! Great content! I have a question if you don't mind me asking: I currently have an active futures account with Interactive Brokers in Canada, will this be enough to proof my non professional status to Sierra Charts or do I need to open another account with Stage Five? Also I will be using Sierra Charts mainly with Prop firms at the beginning. Thank you!
Hi! Thank you very much for such a detailed explanation! I have one question regarding switching between trading services in the Sierra chart, for example, now I’m trading on a simulator ( trading evaluator delayed ), so when I switch to a real account through the Teton order routing service, will my charts be saved or will I have to do it all over again? (I use several Instances) Thanks!
Do I need to connect to my live futures account every time I log in then switch to the Apex account? Or connecting to the live futures account is just a one time thing?
They say you only need to log in once a month into the live to sort of "verify" it. But even that, I think if you use a broker like EdgeClear or Stage 5 that sets you up directly with your Sierra Chart username, it is automatically verified every time you open the program.
You need to first make sure you are disconnected. So SC doesn't keep automatically trying to log you back in. Then make sure you are on an advanced plan with Denali. Packages 10-12. Then go and from the dropdown it will show under Rithmic an option for Apex specifically. I use Chicago for my eastern US area. And then put your username and password in all 3 spaces. And save and then click connect.
I have the Apex trader Funding with Rithmic Add-on with CME Market Depth from Apex but I am not seeing the ladder with all the bid and ask, Can you please help?
Can a real edge clear account be linked with an account from Apex or another firm so that using Sierra charts, trades from the real account are copied to the Apex account?
You should check the Sierra Chart website to make sure, but I believe AMP is one of their approved brokers. Although check who is compatible with their Teton routing service.
@PriceActionVolumeTrader I want to use Sierra Chart for my Apex account. I understand I have to $46/month for Sierra Chart and $11.50/month for live data, and some $100 to EdgeClear for the live account setup. Is there any other fee that I have to pay? Do I have to pay per trade commissions to Sierra/EdgeClear for my Apex Account or those are covered by Apex?
You might need more than $100 to open a micros account with Edge Clear. Maybe like $500 or so. You’ll have to ask them what the minimum to open a micros account for daytrading is. As for the commissions, those are just deducted automatically by Apex. Remember you are in SIM mode so your trades are not really going into the CME. But they charge the commissions to mimic the real futures trading conditions.
This video is incorrect. To use the Denali feed while connected to Apex you do not put the Apex account and password in the "market data / historical data" fields. Otherwise it will use Rithmics data feeds. Not sure if it changed since this video was produced or has always been wrong. Just a heads up. Cheers.
If you have an advanced package 10, 11, 12 you automatically activate Denali data. You use your rithmic credentials just to log into the rithmic paper trading account. But you are using Denali and need to activate live CME data in Sierra chart.
Hi, im following along and have edgeclear account now so I got the denali data feed. Now for Apex I have to login to rtrader pro as well but my question is do I need to allow plugins to be on AND do I need to allow Market Data to be on. In your video above it shows market data on but also shows plugins off. However another video I saw maybe yours or someone elses they had plugin on? Thanks
I don't think it makes a difference really. The main thing is having Denali on and connecting Rithmic inside of Sierra Chart. I would probably just enable plug ins just in case.
i already have an account with sierra charts through my broker, will i have to create a new account for my prop firm and pay for live data again?? im asking this because when i go to server list after selecting rithmic on sierra charts i get a blank bar with nothing for me to select
No, you should be able to use the same. You need an advanced package and from the rithmic list there should be a drop down menu with all the names of pro forms available. Check out the site if whatever company you want to try. They always have instructions for connecting.
Just to clarify . After I connect my Apex (Rithmic) account to Sierrachart, I will be seeing Rithmic data in my charts and DOM as opposed to Denali data ? So, I will be paying for Denali data feed but actually seeing and using Rithmic data ?
Denali will run automatically but all your orders will be sent through Rithmic. The data you will be paying for is the CME live data which is separate from Sierra Chart.
@@PriceActionVolumeTrader Thank you for the reply. I am still not clear on what data is being used for charts and DOMs. For the scenario you outlined in your video, will the charts and chart symbols in Sierrachart be using Denali data or will they be using Rithmic data ?
I can verify that after I set up Rithmic (APEX) account on Sierra, I am seeing Denali data. I did this on a 2nd instance of Sierra and all the symbols have [M] next to them and the DOMs have 1500 levels of depth. so this is Denali data .
Would you be able to do a video on trade allocation in SC (even with Sim accounts)? Trying to get it working from one chart, but no success. Good practice for doing multiple funded challenges
I have not used the copier function myself but I have been curious to try it to apply it on funding companies like Apex. If I do go into it I'll definitely make a video on that.

Thanks for your video! It helped me a lot!! =)
Can I not subscribe to CME data just via Apex and then use Sierra chart instead of going through the whole live account process?
No. Because you would not get live CME data on Sierra chart. You need an advanced package with Denali. You would otherwise have delayed data.
Thank you, one thing I dont understand is why you would keep Apex for the Market Data and Historical data when your paying for Denali?
You are using Denali data. But you still need to have apex account connected into Sierra’s Chart.
hi, thanks for the tutorial it really helped me navigate the sierra mess. do i need to pay a $34.99 membership fee with stage 5 ? or if i just deposit 100$ i have no other fees ?
No membership. Stage 5 is just an IB broker. That’s just money in your margin balance.
I need use CVD and trading Apex accounts, can i use Service package 10 or i need to purchase the 11 ?
Thanks
Package 11. Use code PAVT for max discount on Apex.
Does it matter what broker you have for the account verification for the CME Group data?
No. As Long as it’s one of the brokers they are compatible with.
What package to choose to practice with live data on Sierra charts?
I use 11. You need an integrated package in order to get live data. So 10-12.

Not yet

What's the difference between Aggregated and Non-Aggregated server list?
Not sure if makes a big difference, but generally I've seen people use the non aggregated.
