It's very convenient to dump at home. Your lucky to have your clean out close to the driveway. I needed 50 foot of sewer hose to get to my clean out on the front lawn at the closest point. At least it's down hill.
That was a very detailed video. This is good for new folks to watch. I’ve been doing the same for a couple years. I also spray everything with bleach, even before I hook up at a campsite. I also installed a longer storage tank for my hose under the passenger side. I have the same beyond model. Suggestions: screw both ends of water hose together so they don’t leak and having end caps on the sewer hose to do the same
I think you did an awesome job. I thought I would never want to do this. I said I might build out a van but no black tank. Now it doesn't seem so bad. Thanks for the instructions.
You know thats a good question. I haven't done to my tank before. I have an idea but I will double check with coachmen first and then put something together.
Thanx so much for sharing. This is one of the anxiety inducing activities related to the van. I hadn't thought about the spray Clorox. I am with Lola on using DISPOSABLE gloves.
This is over an hour project. At home no problem but I would be Wondering if other people need to use too. Unless there are other ports to septic. I am thinking cassettes are easier. Then what do you do with grays in that case?
Ok so now I’m confused, I watched a video (link below) or another guy whose dumping system was 1 hose and very simple. This method seems like a lot more work. Does it depend on what kind of van you have?
A good video of something needed. It’s definitely something where the steps need to be in order. In the military we would have HUGE signs and a comic book on how to do this. Even then it would still be misunderstood so your video will be something people with RVs can look back on.
Thanks RC I’m sure some of those comic books were funny to read... I‘be seen some of the old instructional films, I wonder how those have changed these days?
@@strangerpalooza I can’t imagine the changes but I’m sure they are very politically correct. That unfortunate because some of the comics were generally funny which aided in remember the lesson. A drill sergeant taught us how to set up a claymore and his lesson I still remember. DS Leggit never cursed never rose his voice always was the scariest guy in the room. It went he showed off the function then parts then said safety first safety last drill sergeant Leggit gonna kick me in my ... safety first safety last.
Thank you SO much for making this video! We just bought a brand new Beyond and are completely new to this and had a lot of problems with figuring out how to flush the tanks. We live in Michigan and the first 3 nights we had the van (never used the potty or water) we needed to flush the tanks (the dealer filled the fresh water for us) because it was going to be around 27 degrees for the next 3 nights!! We forgot everything the dealer showed us on our walk through, so we panicked. I got a phone “walk through” with a person at the dealership, on flushing the tanks and we had a big problem on our first try. The black tank is still showing “full” even though we emptied it of any water in it though it had never been used, only in the demonstration at the dealers. Has anyone else had any issues with a tank showing “full” when it’s been emptied on a Beyond? Now we had to schedule a service visit only one day after buying it. Very disappointing to have the monitors not work at first try. We are waiting for our appointment on May 24 and wish us luck that it’s an easy fix. I love your video because I could see we did everything correctly.
Loyola how was it. “it was easy” sure Hank did all the work. But I must say Loyola , is a kind person. Like some women she might tell Hank what to do , and making a big issue if your were doing it wrong. Your a lucky man Hank. Loyola is a understanding person
One suggestion I saw in other RV's was after the clean out flush. To actually add some water into the black tank so you don't have a 'brown mound' build up on a dry surface inside the tank. Also dropping a dishwasher soap pellet into the commode in both the gray and black tanks adds a non -sudsy but cleaner that helps brake down solids. Seldom do I see a demo hooking upto a house sewer clean out, which is surprising since 'Mooch Docking' is popular while visiting family or friends. Thanks for sharing.

As always, excellent video
When dumping, we always wrapped our shoes and lower legs/slacks with plastic bags to prevent contaminating the shoes and clothes.
Excellent video greatly appreciated.
Thanks Hank.
Thanks Hank and Lola!

Great Ideas David... I wonder if there’s a tube that can handle the bend?

Hank can you do a video on sanitizing your fresh tank

AWESOME!!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the very informative video!
Are all dump stations universal connections. This is your personal septic but what if you are at a camp with a dump station.
yes, most all dumps have that kind of connection
Can you show the way to winterize it? That is a video I'm waiting for. Great video and love watching you teach.

GREAT JOB THANK YOU FOR TAKEN YOUR TIME TO MAKE VIDEO
when I'm done with the hoses, before putting them away I connect the hose to itself... no leaks!
AWESOME
Thanks 🙏🏽

How did you clean out the clean water tank from Factory?
Thanks for a great video. We just bought a Coachmen Beyond (picking it up today) and I very much appreciate your educational video. Well done!
YW, Congratulations 🎉 on the Beyond John and thanks for checking out our videos
my issue with the Thor B I'm interested in doesn't hold a sewer hose with the end piece that can connect to the elbow piece at the end
Where would you store water hoses on the beyond 22D?
Great job guys
Thanks so much foe sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing real RV life!!
thanks for the easy demo on how to do it.
👍Goos demo. 💝
Your new Ford is awesome!!
Good 👍
Great to see someone who is possibly more thorough and anal than I am about this stuff! Good video.

You're like Sonny and Cher making jokes lol
Been thinking about an RV if I do I think some of those shrinking hoses like the silver bullet are in order
Thanks for the video. We will soon be first time RVers with a B+
Your videos are so long........but packed with great information. Thank you

Great video. Thanks! Also, how do you get the information on your phone? Is that an app?
wearing gloves, touching poopy hoses, and then playing with your phone lol
