If waking up at 4 am and studying for the whole day for regularly for 3-4 years will definitely make me pass UPSC exam, then i would have cleared upsc very easily....unpredictability, luck factor, increasing toughness of the papers every year, candidates who have already cleared the exam sitting for the exam again.... Are some of the reasons that are making me stay away from this exam.... But i will still agree that all these mental stress and courage that it takes to sail through this exam will reward you with joy and satisfaction that you can get nowhere in this world....

To wake up at 4 am is difficult for me so I use to sleep at 4 am.....
You just need to plan 8-10 hours study. Just make sure you do 2 sessions at 9-12pm and 2-5pm. You need to be fully active during this time (for both pre and mains).

Man... don't do that. It can affect your prelims as well as mains. If you are following this routine, make sure you stay active during your exam hours bcz a definite pattern for everyday can affect you severely or sincerely.

It's not when u getup n when u sleep
It's always to conqueror the goal u set for the day whether u complete it in 5 hours or in 10 hours. I think upsc has lots to study and simplifying the things in best way help one retaining most of the things.
Complicating things and unnessarily following other's schedule is not at all worthy. Coz everyone is unique n everyone is from different society, different backgrounds. So the best thing is before entering into this exam, plzzz try to know urself. What works for you n what not simply. But study atleast 5 hours a day in starting. I'm in last year of my college n going to give my 1st attempt in 2023. But from the 1st year of my college i started developing my habits n evolving myself to fit for this exam. Upsc is a marathon in which strategy, patience, trust, time management, skills everything matters. N this is only 'you' can do. Nobody literally nobody can teach u. It's you n olny you.
catching the flight is a one day task tht too for some hours, but waking up at 4am more or less everyday and doing the same task is far more away than reality.
if you need to be in this preparation for more than an year you need to be comfortable and also consistent, so choose something that you are more comfortable with and can be consistent.
Waking up at 4am is only possible when you live alone or you have a separate room.
