you were a legend, in your own right so sad that you have already passed through heavens doors RIP forever you will live in our memories through your music xo Hope your family finds peace in knowing how many people are thinking of you today
No frank he they didn't write the song.. But non the less these guys are amazing. I have seen Jon a few times now. And Jon and Peter together twice. I still think Jon has not been given enough credit for what he has achieved.. And a gentlemen to boot.
That was A perfect gift. Laying here again with this damn thing they say is arthritis yet again for another nite. Sorry to complain it is I am so tired of physical pain. Then I here One of my Heros. Thank you. Ps sorry but I want and have written songs. But when your crippling up and it hurts it is impossible to play. I think so of my stuff is ok. How to I find an audience. Ta.
The man is the living embodiment of "The Show Must Go On". He took a nasty fall, but still performed what would turn out to be his final performance with 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung. He shared the stage with many "unknown" performers, but never upstaged them. While people may have been there to see Jon, Jon made sure each performer had equal time in the spotlight. A true Legend of Rock n' Roll. In the infamous words of Wayne Lovett, "Stay beautiful!"
+j9andphoenix Good Question! But I wonder if this lady is just referring to Jon's comments in the video about ''poofters'' (approx 3:35) which he refers to a few times!
+Janie Jane Thanks for pointing that out - I had actually stopped watching the entire clip because I was disappointed when it started off with comments thrown in about 'out in the back in the ute' and it wasn't going to be just a musical performance. I expect that IS what Jody-Anne meant and I definitely agree - it was a term used back then in his childhood years but just has no place now. Have listened again but had to stop after the Cabtamatta banter. Thx
Very entertaining stories .. I saw Jon in the eighties at the Pilbeam Theatre in Rockhampton ... For some reason he had a large cucumber shoved down in his tight jeans all thru the show . Well I assume it was a cucumber.
How very very sad. This is a beautiful song that he wrote and was a favourite of mine when I arrived in Australia in 1978 - what memories! RIP Jon.

I would like the video but it seems every time today the clips have 665 likes. So I'm not going to be the next like. Thanks.
2:36 - 5:50 Joe English's spiel :}
