I was told by the sales staff that actually they have stock locked up in their safe but need to do pairing to get the popular rolex models. For example the AD here would require a pairing of the less popular brand like hublot, and that will give u a priority to get allocated a rolex sub. Last week I saw in our watch forum a lady bought a rainbow big bang unico and the next day she got a Starbucks. My friend also managed to get a 5980 after spending quite abit this year. Please do a vlog exploring the grey dealers that will be cool!

Its the same here in Singapore. Been trying to get a Rolex Submariner since Oct last year. However, I don't see the point in paying extra in the secondhand market for a sport watch. Guess I will just continue to wait for the available stock.

In Hong Kong, you have to be a "regular" and buy alot of other watches before they even consider selling you a rare one. The 2nd hand market has gone bananas as a result. Probably at least 80% markup from retail price.
I was in Taiwan on holiday & went for a watch hunt like you & visited the same stores. Same story, some stores have refined the art of bundling to an exact science 🤪
Have to say that I really enjoy your show particularly this episode. You literally showed us the experience in AD stores in Taiwan. However, this also makes me wonder how those flippers in grey market got their Rolex watches. Are VVIP's also flippers? :) I hope you can do another episode to tell us the secret sauce.
to ans you - yes VVIP are flippers as well for example when the new Oyster Perpetual 36 with the new dial color release last year every grey market already have a couple of it listed as "Brand New Store Fresh Condition" and also with the Daytona newest color

He's gone to the official boutiques, where hardly any sales takes place. Official boutiques usually only serve high net worths, rarely any walk ins. However, in AD's, they usually operate in a dodgy way. Where they would sell large numbers to friends/families and get a cut from whatever profit they make.
It's the same here in Singapore, Rolex AD looking like they have just been robbed and nothing is left. Waiting list is just written down on a small piece of recycled paper.
It would be facinating to see their impression or change of heart once they notice who you are just when you exit the Rolex shops?? Give that a go and let us know!

This is actually where I land and rewatches once Sunny bro got blacklisted by AP, however, just be who you are, you are rocking it without those AP dude! Really surprising that they act as if they were close to you yet the other store are possibly 'know' that it was you but simply they are being Professionals. 關於鐘錶市場的狀況，其實就跟所有的供應商一樣。
1疫情的關係減少產量
2真正高端製錶師量產手錶的數量有限
在以上這兩個前提之下，他們發給供應商的數量即使不變的情況下。
因為疫情不能出國，大量資金湧入奢侈品、汽車、3c等商品，房地產，而導致供需失衡。
假設原廠的態度都是一樣不超定價賣出，但經銷商一定會加價賣。其實就跟晶片一樣，是供應鏈裡面有人在囤貨跟哄抬，而不是發貨的人。因為原廠需要顧及得層面太多，原廠只需要保有它定價的利潤就夠了。但勞力士有意無意的會顧及二手市場上的價格，其實這點跟麥卡倫很像。還有原廠必須維護跟經銷商的關係，以及供應鏈夥伴的關係。
所以在可預見的未來，原廠如果保持穩定的供應量，那些囤貨的人一定會嘗到後果。甚至有可能低於定價購買到熱門表款，我2022/5/29說的這篇文章，Well see

香港的Rolex也沒有熱門款，但没去到台灣般空舖一樣，而排隊，也是騙人的，那天去改錶帶，店員也說可以排隊，但他也坦白說，基本上有貨也先給VIP, 反而朋友在瑞士替我排了半年，真的排到最後停產前的Explorer I，正價沒抬價

美国这边 上年我还遇到过 间金款 水鬼。 今年去了有10 家左右 什么都没有运动款 。 遇到过正装款切利尼。 还有一点点女表。 非常难在店里公价入手。。。
