  • In this product comparison, I test Bajio Sunglasses against Costa Sunglasses in an on the water evaluation. I try both products, side by side, on the same day, in the same conditions and the same stretches of water. Spoiler - I catch multiple fish with both, but which one comes out on top?

You're welcome! When I do these, I'm honestly hoping the new product will perform really well, whatever it may be, but I'm finding that more often than not, new products aren't any better.

Thanks for the comparison. For me the Problem is getting them prescription. Because of the lens curvature my prescription need can’t be met…as far as the fishing goes, I’ve also caught bright golden/pumpkin reds lately, but only in a certain area I fish. All others are classic coloring. Interesting area genetics.

Yeah, I hear a lot of people have that issue. Fortunately my distance vision is still strong, not like it was when I was younger, but still quite good. It's the close-up stuff like retying knots that gives me trouble. For that, I use the stick-on bi-focal lenses, which let me use quality glasses and still get the magnification that I need, without the big price tag.

i use cocoon amber glasses, they fit over your regular glasses. They work pretty good but not great.

Thank you Bob. I was truly hoping the Bajio would be better, because I do really, really like the frames. I'll probably still use them some, regardless.

Well dang! I was gonna buy Costas a few months ago but bought the Baijo line and bought them. Works well for me but I wish I saw this before I buy

You would have to keep watching subsequent videos, but I've continued to test, use and comment on the Bajios and I've amended my initial assessment of them. I've been wearing them a lot and I've found that sometimes they are better than Costa, but sometimes Costa is better than Bajio. I think either brand will serve you well.

Nice review! Nice sightfishing footage too! They sure let you get close to them that day, especially with the trolling motor. What editing software are you using to do the highlight on the fish in the water?

Thanks! Getting that close isn't uncommon. It's why I use the trolling motors I do. Larger thrust equals more noise and saltwater motors are noisier than their freshwater equivalents. For editing I use Adobe Premier Pro.

Jeff, you finding any grass up there?

    • @JeffHammerFishing

Oh yeah, tons! It's really starting to come back now that there aren't so many manatees feeding on every little blade and root they can find.

@@JeffHammerFishing Good to hear. Yes, I am very suspicious of the manatees.
