Wow, this really blows my mind! Before reading the seventh book, I just read the others again and took notes, so that I won’t miss anything. And even after finishing the 7th book I had no idea, why Pa adopted the sisters and for what reason. I never realized that he appeared in all the past stories and has a connection to their relatives - Thank You!! And it fits so well even after I know the 7th book. Just a few thoughts: The whole time I was sure, that Pa Salt is still alive. But in the letter for Merope he tells her, that they will never meet on earth, because of his death. Now I'm afraid he is dead indeed. And Angelina talked with Tiggy about him in past tense. And to refer to other comments, I guess Ambrose can’t be Pa Salt. At first, I thought this too, but Ambrose is in love with James, so he is homosexual. But Ma said that there was always another one in Pa's life --> the women on the picture in his working room - the mother of Mary? I still need to know more about the people in Pa’s surroundings. Georg Hofmann said he was like a father to him and I think Christian said something like this too. And Ma mentioned that the kindness of strangers rescued her in a way. I still can’t see the connection to the Eszu family. What does it mean, that the house where Mary was born belonged to the family Eszu? And if Pa “lost” his pregnant wife in 1949 who was with Pa Salt when he adopted Maia? Because it is said, that he was in company of a woman. And where was Georg just before the death day? What did he had to do, so that the sisters couldn’t reach him? And last but not least: I really don’t understand why they did not yet explore the cellar and the secret room! ;) Sorry for the whole text, I just finished the latest book, was really confused, saw your videos and now am really exited :D

I have been so curious about the Ezsu family, I’m certain they’re involved one way or another, even though I was sure they’d be more heavily involved in Merry’s story and they weren’t really*. I think that still might be revealed though? I absolutely agree that Ambrose is not Pa Salt, but there are some similarities. Just finished reading 7th book and realized that Merry should have been born around 1949. Does that mean that Pa'Salt has lost his pregnant wife on way to Australia? As mentioned in Kitty's story a man is looking for his wife. Maybe it was pregnant Elle and maybe she was kidnapped or something like that? Also in Tiggy's letter he said Angelina was the one telling him about his daughter and on that meeting his has definitely been alone.

Okay, first of all thanks for those videos! It was really good to watch a brief recap of what happened in all the other books and what theories and knowledge we've had already before the seventh book. I've just finished the missing sister and definitely agree with most of your theories, especially about Pa salt and where we've met him before. One thing I've been missing though (that I am quite sure of). In Electras book we get Cecilys story and part of that is her aunt Kiki, who at one point shares that she herself had a baby from an affair with a royal (prince George I think) that she secretly gave birth to in Switzerland and was taken from her right after it was born. We don't really get a timestamp of when that happened, all she tells us she was that she was of similar age as Cecily at the time having her baby. It would totally work out happening about 1920, so the baby of Kiki and Prince George would be Pa Salt! I am quite sure of it to be honest. Would explain him being really wealthy and all as well. Not quite sure how he ended up in Paris all dirty and hungry though. Maybe he was running away from where ever he was being kept out of sight from everybody. Could explain his quiet and almost timid behavior too. What do you think about that theory?

In 1938, Cecily guesses Kiki's age to be "around 40" (during the NYE party). The book mentions that Cecily is 13 months older than 21 year old Mammie. Even without Kiki's exact age, this does fit the timeline for her to have given birth to Pa Salt in 1920 when she was "around" Cecily's age. I'm also curious as to how Pa Salt ended up in Paris at that age. Even if he was considered "illegitimate", any fortune/inheritance would be his birthright though, so your theory about the wealth certainly fits as well. Huh. :)

After Paris and the little orphaned boy that I suspected was PA Salt, I never saw all those threads. I realized the 7th sister is not likely to have been Maia's child as it is supposed to be a boy. I believe that too! Had that thought quite in the beginning of the book and definitely later when Ambrose said, he is wealthy and wants Mary to be adopted. Very plausible that he starts later to adopt children on his own.
Oh, yes this could also be possible, but then his sister would have lied that he is in a facility for mental ill people..? Could be possible, that whole story didnt make really sense to me, that Mary is so afraid of Bobby through the whole book and in the end he was never a real threat?

And having read book 7, we now know who the lost sister is & that there will be an 8th book about Pa Salt... Although Lucinda has sadly passed away, I suspect she did manage to write this book prior to her death. It's advertised as being due for publication in October 2022.
I agree. I have a feeling that even if she didn’t complete it, she had extremely detailed outlines, so we might still get Pa Salt’s story the way she intended to tell it.

Hmm… one would think, but I just checked the publisher’s website (Pan Macmillan), and it says that you can pre-order ‘Atlas, the story of Pa Salt’ which is due out in Autumn 2022. She might have already written it, or at least she had a near-final manuscript done, and they’ll have other authors finish it for her. They sometimes do that when an author unexpectedly passes. I guess we’ll have to see if there will be any more announcements.
@@Internetrando as her family seems involved in the story I hope they manage to make a book out of what she was able to elaborate( depending on how sick she was the last months) What a loss that such a talented lady had to die so soon.

She dictated her books because she was dislective. It seems unlikely to me that this story is not practically finished. She said herself, Pa Salt's story is too much to process in Book 7. I think there's really going to be one last one.
The series will not be complete without Book 8….Pa Salt. She mentioned in her Q&A after book 2 that her husband was knowledgeable about the plots of all 8 books. I’m confident that she worked with another ghostwriter /editor/copywriter as her cancer progressed and that person will complete the last book.
