Replaced the output cap and it now works fine. It didn't have a bulge and everything looked fine. Very satisfying to fix it and not throw it onto the mountain of waste. Well done and thank you.
Exactly the same model, died after a power outage yesterday after some 10-year serving. I won't fix it myself, as it's worth some 10 bucks only. But thank you for the video, it's clear and informative. The capacitors are the weak point in devices. But sometimes, they can fix themselves automatically.
Nice find on the problem Jahan, and I saw the bulging caps at the beginning of the video. I believe that you have a bogus diagram, and it doesn't match up to your device. Let me point out a big mistake on the diagram. Take a look at the 25V input line and follow it to the left, down and to the right, and you'll see that it connects directly to ground. So, there is a short circuit there. Also, the ground is connected to the top side of the bottom resistor, so the two resistors aren't set up a voltage divider. Other things that don't match up is C2 on the diagram, but on the board it's listed as C42. Also, the quad transformers aren't on the diagram, the series pass transistor is missing, and a few other items. So, the 1.8VDC is probably correct for this board and not the 5VDC as listed on the diagram. Nonetheless, the end result is what's important and that's getting it fixed. Take care Jahan...
Well done jahan, another device recovered :-)) That chip was very common for use in 12v to 5v car cigarette socket type plug in phone chargers, other similar chips also exist. I did expect it to show 5 volts as well, it caught both of us out lol. The two resistor values must be different, i would check them just in case. Yep the amplitude of the squarewave output divided by the on/off time ratio gives the desired output voltage (my crude understanding), pulse width modulated like most switchmode psus :-) The inductor i think is uH not pH, dodgy diagram lol. A small psu could be handy for your repairs, a lm317 and a few parts could give you a variable supply that can eather be transformer powered or from a car battery :)
Voltmeter red the same on the capacitor replacement 😆♥️🇵🇭 but he made it works I mean the switch... I don't know bout electronics this but I learned somehow 😁♥️🇵🇭
I have an 8-port PoE switch. Ports 1-7 work fine, but ports 8 and the 2 uplink ports are dead. I visually inspected the caps, and none of them seemed to have popped. PSU is supplying the correct 53v to the mainboard (as specified on the PSU label) Any ideas?
You see the the caps have gone bad (because the have rounded on the top) and because of that the switch does not have enough power to start and resets itself
Hello sir I have conneted tp link 5210 to my modem D301. suddenly cloud was tundering So the tundering damage my modems All ports so plz guaide my which thing is damage. so i will fix it.
Normally thunder damage is beyond repair as you may need massive components replacement which could lead you more expanse than a new piece of equipment. Anyhow your testing could tell you which defective components should be replaced. Wish you good luck with your repair. Stay tuned and blessed.
we should test but failure componant can be observed with eye for exemple if you have an transformer with black pouder on it you will go directelly to test it :)
my router is burn through ethernet port due to heavy current pass through ethernet port and router still power on but ethernet port not working plz give me solution for that problem
Seems it have blown ports input devices. You can replace them from another defective router doner board available which could be defective for any other reason like water damage etc.

This instruction also works on TP Link Switch TL-SF1005D - Thanks a lot for this Video.
Nice video Jahan, another bit of hardware saved by the master, good work mate.
I just repaired my switch thanks to this video. Thank you!

Awesome diagnostic work. Great repair.
good video , Ive just repaired my switch , (also broke after a power outage) the schematic is interesting ,were can i find it ?
Great repair!
Good job

I shall now, soLder, as well! Thanks.
'That's great if you "sold" or SoLder or what ever!
make more videos on this switch
Good Job sir
Thanks dear. Stay turned.
Ofcourse !!!!!
Amigo a solda do positivo da antena saiu do meu existe outro conto na placa onde eu posso solda o positivo da antena?
Grt

Yes you are very much right. Stay tuned.
Can you repair my Ethernet port... It doesn't see my computer
Sir,
My router Tp link- WR740n have *wi-fi* signal light not blinck. So what can i do?
It may have bad wifi IC. Need reballing or replacement.
hlo sir my tp link router is not turning on can i do any thing for it
Tp-link Power adaptor: What is output volt ?
Ok
hello my internet or wan signal is showing red any solution???
hello dost
mero tplink k DSL router hai but uska power ic nast ho gaya but i dont no homw many ic number
I can't tell you the number as I don't have TP link routers in hand anymore.
hey LearningZone i want to disasembly a tp link sf1008d and i not to begin
Try it. Hope you will succeed.

LearningZone Sir give me ur facebook or whatsaap number i will send u my modem video so u can help me
from video without test its problem from capacitor you should replace them
Testing is always nice.

my router is not blinking and the ic is heating alot...what should i do?
Check the router internal power for any abnormality. Also IC could be defective.
so ....is there any chance to replace the ic?
Fiber media converter
Yes.
How can i download any schematic from Internet
I think such schematics are not available on internet.
2 bulging capacitors
Yes. They were creating problem.
Sir , mere router may power & lock symbol ki lait on hai or baki sab nhi ho raha hai, router reset bhi nhi ho raha hai, pls tell me kaya problem hai
It has a defective system microcontroller. Replacement wouldn't success. Regards,
