Wonderful performance here. ❤ Cale. A Welsh god. The accent is gorrrgeous. Almost went to his home village last year. Sadly events intervened. Just wanted to see the church where he went, etc. Rock on, John.
I bought the LP on release and this was my favourite track of a classic album. It is an amazing performance by John and what a terrific arrangement. Who is the guitarist please? Such freedom and spirituality in his playing .
I've asked this on most of the videos from this performance, but where and when was this performance? Is it available in full anywhere? Most of the songs uploaded to UA-cam, which I really appreciate, are cut off at the end and beginning. I'd love to have a full copy of this concert but it seems to be impossible to find...
Where is Andalucia? The "encores" Capt Hook, Hedda Gabbler? Thanks for these tho, of course. "Top" lists are always silly but that said, 1919 is always in my top 5.
I kind of agree. The original album had Lowell George (one of the best guitarists of his generation) playing on it, yet the guitar was cranked way down in the mix, and was much better for it. This guy's playing is far too loud and ostentatious.
"People always bored me anyway"
So many great lines on this album.

Wunderbar orchester und MR.CALE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If somebody let me take 100 albums to a desert island and not Paris 1919, or just Paris 1919...I'd take Paris 1919.
Id have to disagree .. id take paris 1919
Grossartig, danke euch allen und mister cale❤
Da Dawn. I am full of wonder!
Beautiful version. And nice to see John in a suit.
How can it be possible for EVERY song on this STUNNING album to make me cry like a little baby, tears of JOY/GOD"S bright light shining thru !!!
❤❤❤❤❤
Perfect!
Special song for today, 11 November 2018

The guitarist is Dustin Boyer.
Cool 😎 !
Wow
I still think the best version is the rough quiet version on the bonus disc of the 1919 reissue. Great music...
Best music ever

It was recorded in Malmo, Sweden in 2011. There is a DVD, but you have to search for it.
I don't know how to contact people on UA-cam, but If you do tell me how. I can fix this whole concert for you in superb quality.
Michael Bibersen that would be fantastic

Spain
Should have written for Les Mis...
Beautiful song ruined by awful guitar playing.
Rather by stupid comments like yours - if anyone would care.

I can only think John approved. i prefer the record, and this guitarist plays really well but for my taste it's a little too much for the song.
Less is more. John knows hits. I'm surprised the guitarist doesn't nor the sound engineer.
