For those interested, you can still get DS 1 & 2 on Steam and both work. DS 1 just needs a simple mod to force raw mouse input called Dead Space Mouse Fix, then you turn off in game vsync, force it with your driver control panel, then cap the framerate to 60. You'll still get a massive mouse sensitivity jump when walking on organic floor stuff, but only when not aiming. DS2, just do the vsync thing from DS1 and you're good. It's kinda amazing how well these games hold up on modern hardware.
the fact that even though the game basically shoved in your face that you have to shoot the limbs...ive seen quite a handful of lets players just completely gloss over that fact.
