Online Particle size Distribution (PSD) Tobacco Leaf & Stem Measurement System

The Major objective of green leaf threshing units is to separate lamina & stem from leaf and pack it separately as per customer specified moisture targets & temperature to increase the shelf-life to the tobacco.
The Online particle size distribution system is a completely automated system. It is built to effectively measure and sort tobacco leaves and stem. The entire system is non destructive and hence it ensures the integrity of leaves without breaking or shearing. In order to facilitate real-time image capturing and analysis, the system comprises 5 major units:
A Hopper to seamlessly feed the tobacco leaves into the measurement system
Multi-speed, Cross Flow Conveyors to create a monolayer of added leaves for accurate analysis
A pair of Color Cameras mounted with a bar light to determine the quality ratio of each leaves based on their sizes - 1 inch / ½ inch / ¾ inch
A set of Monochrome Cameras integrated with IR light at the bottom of the conveyor for fool-proof stem detection
An Interactive Display Unit to control the function of the complete system and to view real-report(s) of the analysis.
