Great video! Your back and forth banter is very entertaining! I enjoy watching both of your channels. Great information presented in a fun way! Look forward to your next video!
Lego is following up the D&D set with a LotR set release of Barad Dur. The fantasy/castle themes are back! Man it is great to be a fan of Lego right now. My bank account is taking a beating.
I love KDX pronouncing all the b tier Jedi names! Great point about how these figures go up in value regardless of how expensive or cheap a set is given that they only have had 1 or at most 2 printings ever.
I died inside but the pronunciations were very entertaining! I guess we'll have to see if the figure remains exclusive or whether it gets re-released in other 2024-5 sets.
I picked up the D&D set first day and will probably pick up another to hold onto as I want to build this one. With the D&D minifig collection coming out late fall, I have high hopes for more releases in this series. I agree will all of you guys' points on the look, size and overlap between hobbyists. I played a lot of D&D when I was younger, and the fact that this is a PLAYABLE set with even basic rules laid out for everyone is a huge plus. Yeah, I think Lego will produce more sets if not add-on adventures to continue this adventure.
That sith infiltrator is an absolute pass. The build is chunky and studdy, that ridge just looks horrible. The maul gig won’t have pupils so that kills him, along with the fact that a better version is coming in the visual dictionary. The pod racer is overpriced polybags, however that droideka and UCS tie interceptor are slam dunks imo. May be bias for the interceptor as it is my favorite Star Wars ship, but you said all that needs to be said for the droideka. An in depth video on the tie interceptor would be great, or just a passing glance at it in a video.
I'm a fan of the dioramas, but the pod race scene has totally jumped the shark. I will pick it up at a discount. I can see Lego selling it for 30% off on their website. For investing I was to get it at 50% off. #1 Tie Bomber because of the ship, #2 Ahsoka's starship because of the minifigures. #3 Sith infiltrator because of the Saw Guerra Figure/ 25th Anniversary.
for the D&D set - I have played for decades and this set has a ton of little details and easter eggs. Not saying it would be the best investment, but as a set and theme I love it!
Im wondering if the unique jedi thing is tied to them being in Clone battles in the movies. Are people recreating those battles? If that is so, are the jedi that are not tied to battle druid battles not going to be as valuable?
Interesting theory! I think people like to collect Jedi and the more beloved ones like Sassee Tinn and Kit Fisto attain higher values than the less popular ones.
I bought 2x 10274 few days ago for 140$, planning to sell it fast for 200$ on the most popular polish market site (all costs 10%). I hope it will be fast flip so I can use money on star wars sales in 2 weeks :D
First of all, love the podcast!! Found you guys each separately and I do like each series of videos, individually, but the combo videos are internet GOLD!! Just like other world famous duos...peanut butter and jelly, Shrek and Donkey, and Han and Chewie! Second, I agree the Tie Bomber, Droideka and Cody Brickheadz will do well. The "shelf winner" is certainly the Droideka! I want this set on a shelf at home, and I think in my office at work too! Oh and maybe 5-10 to collect, as it is going to go for $150 2 years after it retires. You guys should use the term "shelf winner." The set that when you see a bunch of sets at a launch or in store, its the one you want on your shelf! Above all others. Here, its the Droideka! Third, I agree on the pod race Diorama. I tend to agree with KDX (PS what does the X stand for?), I like the dioramas, but this one is the next Black Panther Bust, soooo overpriced... for a brown wall and 2 polybags. Granted maybe a little bigger than a polybag. But PASS!!! And the clear winner of the entire wave.... The D&D set!!!!! I commented before,I dont buy many sets on day one, unless its to get a clear winner of a GWP, and this is the best example in years. You didn't mention the Mimic at all?!?! Its going for around $100. And climbing. I knew it would be in short supply, but it is SOOOOO cool! Beautiful bundle (eh DG? love the bundle!) for the Red Dragons Tale!!! I only regret not ordering my limit to get a few more copies of the Mimic. Totally agree on the demographic overlap too. As a huge nerd for both D&D and Lego, I have been waiting on this for decades! I keep 99% of my sets in box, but build some with my daughter, and they get displayed around the house. But I want this one to build! And at least one more to collect in box, and maybe one or two to collect and maybe resell in the future! I was also expecting a massive box, it was a little smaller than I assumed, which is nice for storage! But the Mimic?! THANK YOU LEGO! Anyway, I love the videos! Love the Good Set/Bad Set! Love that you talk about other sets I might not consider. And the B-list Jedi, not only such a great mini segment, but the logic is there and makes me rethink strategy for future purchases. Great research KDX. KDX, cant believe you took a jab about the hair though! But what a perfect response DG, doing the math on the cost of haircuts to save the $ for Lego? Genius! Keep the videos coming!
First of all, love the Podcast!! I found each one of you seperately, and like both the channels. KDX, the reviews of other videos is super helpful, as some of the videos out there are a little over the top with the tens of thousands of mint product in the background, and the style and voices are hard to deal with. And DG, love the insight, the spreadsheets, and the honesty. But together? Internet GOLD!! LOVE the back and forth. Love Good Set/Bad Set! Like the different styles and way you both have your faves, and that's how most of us feel about Lego, we got interested for one theme or another, but know very little about others. You guys are right up there with the best duos of all time. Peanut butter and Jelly. Shrek and Donkey. And Han and Chewie! Secondly, I agree on Droideka, BARC Speeder, and Cody. Personally the Droideka is the "shelf winner"! You know, the one you see amongst all the others at a launch or on the store shelf, and know you just need one at home and you know where it will go, and can't wait to show it off! Even love it enough to buy it day one! Might a good idea for the show, "shelf winner" I can see one at home, one at work in my office, and 5-1o to collect, as I am calling it, they will go for $150 in 2 years after retirement. Thirdly, the Podrace? Nailed it. So overpriced for 2 big polybags and a brown wall. I like that KDX (what does the X stand for by the way?) loves the dioramas, and will go down with the ship on them. But this one is tough to love for a number of reasons. Cost is #1. Also, KDX, can't believe you went for the hair! But loved the response more. DG doing the math on the cost of a haircut and how that converts to Lego! Nice! Lastly, the winner of the entire video.... The D&D set!! Love all around for it, but no mention of the Mimic? Seriously? I bought one day one, the minute it launched for that reason. Very few sets are worth day one, purchase, and this was a no brainer. For $100 plus on the secondary market, the Mimic is a dream set! And think about the bundle DG? Gotta love the bundle, right? Oh and the ranking video of all 33 retiring Lego Star Wars sets for 2024? LOVE it! Love the ranking and review of past results, and the chart is simple but for those of visual learners, its so cool! Please keep the videos coming!
This is honestly one of my favorite UA-cam series. I love both of your channels, but together you guys are so entertaining to watch.
Thank you! We always enjoy chatting and challenging each other a little bit.
Great video! Your back and forth banter is very entertaining! I enjoy watching both of your channels. Great information presented in a fun way! Look forward to your next video!
Thanks gentleman for the Intel. I enjoy the arguments.
I like the format and I like the chemistry. Good job.
wake up babe new bricktalk episode just dropped

Great video as always! Thanks guys!
You 2 are getting better and better with each one of this type of video, nice one guys 😊
Great to see you and Kevin doing your thing. Both of you are class acts and love the banter and info keep them coming guys
Great episode as usual guys 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧👍

The problem with the 501st Specialist Battle pack is they are not standard troops whereas the 2 troops in the new set are standard troopers.
I picked up the D&D set first day and will probably pick up another to hold onto as I want to build this one. “I love lamp” - Brick Tamland
As a huge Droideka fan, I’m so excited for this set and it will be my first ever day 1 Lego purchase.
6 pack Phantom Menace Brickheadz set releasing on May 1st.

An important distinction! Great to hear from a longtime fan that the set does the IP justice, that's a good sign for investment.
What yall buying for may 4th ? (Investment wise )
Anything to hit $160! Maybe Ghost, Boushh Helmet, or Cantina
@@DGBricksYT thanks
Did you guys analyze the phantom menace Brickheadz set yet ?
Not yet! It will be on the next episode of Bricktalk next month.

I think Commander Cody Brick head is freaking awesome !!
Thank you thank you :)
You're very welcome!
I got 12 ecto for 120 last year.
