- The Arms Trade Treaty is a historic response to the human suffering caused by the widespread availability of weapons both during and after armed conflicts.
For the first time ever in an international treaty, States must not transfer weapons or ammunition if they know that they would be used to commit certain war crimes. The International Committee of the Red Cross calls on all States to sign, ratify and implement the Arms Trade Treaty and fulfil its promise to reduce human suffering.

that's a very good safety measure to stop (even if partially) civil wars in the 3rd world countries, but in my opinion this treaty is the maximum that the governements can accept, because every nation needs a defensive organisation.
I like guns and i think that banning firearms will only increase the unlegal commerce
Just make sure they just usually go through "honest" channels. I have an interest in them as well... don't own due too mental health issues but friends do and it's not a big deal where I live... usually.
Will it work the way you all hope or will it turn into good intentions gone wrong. When something comes into being it has potential for good but it also has potential for great evil.

Joking aside, those people in the video think global gun controls could keep the population safe. However, bad guys always get guns and the innocents have no means of protect themselves. The people can't trust their own government since the government can be dictatorial and commit war crimes. The 2nd Amendment has it purposes, use it.
Well maybe the US should stop making the rest of the world as well, if you guys want ammo for your domestic make it yourselfs instead of outsourcing it.

It's not the UN's job for that really, it was meant as a place for recognized groups too speek at a leval field... do I agree with dictators no I don't but I don't care about them.
