@@mrhoffame yeah had to sell after I got out of the Navy. Called my dad yesterday and told him about Japanese vinyl pressings and he didn't even know about them. Love their 45 artwork too on alot of records
I know right? Aren't those things just amazing? I really wish I would have gotten into them sooner because clearly it takes a lifetime to build up a collection of them lol. I am also very much in love with Music On Vinyl pressings and MFSL pressing. Those are beautiful pieces too.
very NICE update.... love looking at those Linda and Rod covers... they represent the days when music was music and NOT idol worship like the "artists" of today... would love for you to get the entire Rod Japanese pressings with Obi.... WE ALL HAVE GOALS IN LIFE!!! hahaha... looking forward to next upload!!
Man, ud love for you to do another tour of your collection and equipment! That first one you did blew me away, it looked like you lived in a record store! Love it!
So great to see your Japanese collection growing. There's something special about those OBI's and the lyric inserts, not to mention the pressings are generally far superior to their US counterparts.
No kidding man. I don't know what it is about those thing, but I freakn' love them lol. You know another set of pressing I'm really, really getting into....are the Music On Vinyl pressings/reissues. Those things are FANTASTIC!!!
Yea Brother. Japanese pressings are awesome. When i went to a record fair i Tokyo.Man thought I died and was in heaven. Picked up so many Kiss Japanese pressings. If you haven't already go to japan in your life time. You'll love it. Great vid.😁
Hell yeah Atari!!!! I still have my 5200 console and games and they still work. Currently playing the original Nintendo (NES) with my kids.... living through nostalgia and memory lane with the kids :-) rock on bud JC/Miami
Ha Ha! I don't think I'm that good. Keep an eye out though. I am working on a AC/DC and Rob/White Zombie box set. Billy Hurst has made some pretty cool ones too.
Wow Brandon great Japanese pressings I always love to run to by Japanese pressings especially with the obi the sound quality is amazing very nice Linda Ronstadt mega japanese finds I would love to find that Jacksons Destiny I remember as a kid having a OG I took it school as a child for a party and this kid sat on my copy and cracked it in two I cried like a baby lol. Love those pressings I was ecstatic to find Rush Signals in a Japanese pressing man it sound anormous . Lovellandrew
Ah man! He sat on your lp and broke it? That is so destructive for a kid back in the day lol. I literally felt your pain lol. Thanks for stopping by my friend!
Hey Brandon, always enjoy the variety of new finds and the brief synopsis on each. By the way do you have anything by Roachford?? Permanent Shade of Blue was his most successful album. It may be something you will really like.
Dont take this the wrong way. I used to watch you all the time about 4 years back. Your feed just popped up on my subscriptions page. Im wondering why you don't upgrade your lighting setup, camera, perhaps do different kind of video formats. Really mix it up, im so surprised to see such a small number of views on your videos when i know vinyl is so popular and there are lots of newer guys in the community with 10 times the views. Your whole collection and setup is legendary...
Oh, no offense at all my friend. I appreciate you reaching out. A couple of people have asked me about that same thing and my thought process really is that I am not to concerned about increasing my viewership at all. Matter of fact I want to keep it rather steady. Most of people who watch me are those I regularly communicate with and I kind of like it that way. I actually left the VC for about a year and a half because as it got bigger there was so much negative stuff/people that started to creep into it. Remember, that myself and "Dan from Canada" were the very first VC members before it was even "The VC" lol, and honestly I relish the days when the VC was only year or two old. Average views were maybe 200/ video. It was so much more real, friendly, open, and didn't resemble "typical" social media. Again, I appreciate you stopping by. Have an awesome one my friend \m/
I have a Canadian pressing of "stay hungry"! It's sound quality is, meh! Maybe I should try the Japanese pressing, as I have not a single Japanese record in my collection!
I don't think I have any western bands on japanese pressings, though have a few j-metal bands on japanese pressings. Also have a few j-metal bands on western labels, doesn't sound so impressive that was around, lol.
New subscriber here (check my channel if you would). I watched your video from a couple weeks back (the 1000 subs one) and you were in a totally different room. More cool and jazzy, and here you are in a hard rock room. :) That Jacksons album was the only one I had as a teen, and really the only one I am constantly on the look out for a good copy of nowadays.
Really nice stuff, Brandon! And nice memories from Stay Hungry. Thanks for sharing!
Starting my collection again. Gonna buy some iron maiden and black sabbath japanese vinyl an metallica
That is cool. Did you sell a previous collection you had?

You and Billy got me turned on to the Japanese pressings by watching your videos. It’s just another aspect of collecting that I enjoy.

That Twisted Sister album is awesome. I have it autographed on pink vinyl.

Ha Ha! Thanks my friend. Yeah, I would LOVE to get that Stewart collection someday! If so you will be the first to know lol.

Thanks my friend. I was actually considering doing another tour video. I think you pushed me over the edge. I'll try and do one tomorrow lol.

Something iconic about all of those Linda Rondstadt covers...

Great video
Thinking about doing another Linda Ronstadt box set? A Japanese outer box with a mega OBI would be interesting.

Ha ha, never mind, I just watched the music room tour and see this video is just the other wall, it just looked like a whole different place. :)
