Awesome I was wander how the jet assembly was on theses little boats I have a friend that made something similar out of a plastic kayak he used a 18hp Bridge and Stratton side shaft motor pushing the jet drive. He claims it will do 30 plus.
If you run in debris filled areas, yes, the grate will clog often and require clearing. My grate flows more so more debris passes through to clog the impeller instead, stock grates would clog at the grate under the hull so clearing that would mean reaching underneath to pull the debris out. Hopefully you are right hand capable, no option for left side controls.

No lawn equipment engine is going to drive a jet and give 30 mph.... I'd need video to believe his claim. lol
Is this a common problem you have with it clogging up? I love that you did most of it one handed as I am an amputee.. and want a mokai

@@jol3886 there are aftermarket control options. I forget the site, but just look for performance mods and it will come up
