Yes you can. Take a look at my article here: www.mrkwp.com/2023/05/how-to-sort-products-in-woocommerce/. It shows the sorting on category basis and should give you the solution you are after.
It would depend on your default sort orders. There is a number of ways to sort products so picking a suitable sort order for the default page may work.

How do you clear cache on server?
It depends on your hosting provider. Most of them have a button in the server control panel to do it or a plugin. Who is your host?
