Good points. I wish they provided a smaller model like 6/8B. A lot more people would be able to play with it locally. I have 16Gb Vram, but even then I don't want to wait ages for a decent pic with loras/control nets. I like to iterate fast to test out new ideas. SDXL/SD 1.5 will still be around for a while until SD can bring out a better model that isn't gimped like SD3
