I tried a fair share of action/extreme sports (and I do two actively) but the same as him - rollercoasters and bungee jumping scares the shit out of me. And my theory is that this is because of the lack of control. When I skate, when I drive in rally races or do any other action/extreme sports - I have control, I can stop at any point and basically everything (or at least most) is up to me. With things like rollercoasters - once you get in the cart you lose control completely and it sucks.

My dad is for the most part tough as nails - he did dangerous stunts in college, ate disgusting things for bets no fuss, horror movies don’t scare him in the slightest, can give unprepared speeches in front of a thousand people no issues… BUT he cannot go near a rollercoaster without looking like he’s going in for open heart surgery, and he has a massive fear of flying. He hyperventilates on every takeoff, he cannot look out the window. He would rather take on a gang of violent thugs, and says he would be completely fine if he was piloting in the front, which makes me think it’s a control thing, like Steve-O
Steveo's fears actually make a lot of sense, because with a flip for instance he knows what to do and expect. He doesn't like being locked in where a third party object can derail or screw him over somehow

Steveo, I used to have the same issue with rollercoasters, i hated the way it made me feel. But I found a psycological trick and ever since I get a thrill instead of g-force resistance. Now I love it. The trick is easy. Imagine at the top, before the drop, that you are driving, your foot is on the gas pedal, then when it starts to drop, you have to complain that its not faster enough, put your foot right down as if you are making it go full speed, and think that you need it a little faster, unsatisfied by the current speed. You will feel none of that shit anymore, the alternative feeling is amazingggg. You basically ''have to go crazy'' in a way.

For some reason I absolutely love roller coasters and flying, but bungee jumping gets the biggest NOPE! It's just primal terror walking up to the edge of a bridge or cliff and looking over before falling.
Kinda crazy that he will leave his eyes open while bungee jumping, plummeting his way straight towards the ground, but appeared to have his eyes closed the entire time on the roller coaster lol.
You had some moments like this on WB but also pretty redeeming ones too, like the salmon sperm ‘n’ eggs bit , approaching a silverback , so it’s all good dude.
I think Steve just fears dangerous situations where he isn't in control. If he's doing something dangerous like, I dunno, wacking himself in the face with a nun-chuck or something, if he dies it's on him. But if he dies on a roller coaster it's on someone else.
