The asteroid with the cross is a very old one. I remember seeing that one even before they added planets. I think they kept it in the game because by now it's become somewhat iconic (pun intended).
Thanks for the shout out, its a pleasurer to help out when I can. Every contract there is a +/- with other factions that if you hover over the green/ red arrows it tells what faction they will effect. also in the faction screen it will let you know whom is friend or foe. The STTR station that you are at "war" with is because you have done business (completed contracts with their enemies), that increased your rep with some and decreases with others. Most like got that gps at one other the first stations you visited... did several contracts losing the rep with STTR...
Those were some great suggestions. The tip about NPC names has been great. I figured it was something like that. I did just do 200+ missions for a single station/faction in the previous episode. That's probably where the reputation imbalance came from.
Honestly, that person living on the npc station is pretty ingenious, a clever way of getting the perks of a safe zone without the need of loads if money to get chips
The thruster priority could actually be done with a script. Also faction tags can now be more than three letters due to plugins, client side mods, allowing for up to six letter long tags.
Cool. I'll have to look into the thruster thing. Won't work for this playthrough, as scripts are disabled, but would be nice in the future. The beacon encounter happened on Keen NA1. Might be able to do it a different way, but I talked with the player who controlled the safe zone and they said the beacon was stolen.
I recently found the cross too, and posted about it on Reddit. I got pointed to some much older videos where people had also come across it. Funny that you found it too.
Late but I think the reason you were at war with that NPC faction is because STTR is the faction thats assigned to own unknown signals. In my survival world with my friend I’ve got bad relations with them too from grinding down unknown signals.
Interesting, I never considered that. Could be it. Could also be due to completing missions for a rival fashion. I did recently complete 200+ missions to buy parts for the Dawn.
Yeah, the big old volcanos. In SE there's the one massive one then a couple smaller ones. Pretty sure they're on the opposite side of the planet from where I landed.
Hahahaha. Yeah, it's still weird to me that I was found. In the many many many hours I've played on public servers it's never happened before. I'm fairly careful about that.
If I recall correctly they said they like to play by scavenging blocks from abandoned bases, unknown signals, and what not. They then merge those onto their grids and keep going. An interesting way to play for sure.

Yeah, it's certainly been around for forever.

That one in particular has been great to know.
What a cool twist!
It has certainly made things interesting. Some day I'll have to go all the way back to the moon though. Hahaha.

Yeah, I wonder what they do all day though. They didn't have any other grids parked in the zone. Maybe they have something parked nearby.

great series so far loving it
Thanks, I've been having a great time making it!

Yeah, pretty sure it's been in the game from the start and it still is today.
You could have set all terminals where only you can access them. Either that or they just hooked up to your ship and dragged it along with them.
In retrospect, I do think they just dragged it.
Reminds me of The Terminal movie with Tom Hanks 😂
That's a classic.

That was a jumpscare to hear you say my name
XD Hopefully it gets less frightening. Pretty sure you'll be hearing it sprinkled in for a bit.
Olympus Mons is the only real "mountain" on the planet.

You have been evicted... from space.

That Liam guy sounds nice 💀 maybe he don’t have a base and js helps

How did they steal an NPC beacon if there is no cutting or welding in the station safe zone?
Bugs, exploits, and/or plugins.
@@ShiftyshadowTV I hate cheaters. Take the fun out of any game.
