Build Broadmaw, he's actually really great, the small speed buff isn't the best but it comes with a TM boost and crit rate, he has CC and a revive, really useful especially in something like relentless. He's taken me through so many dungeons and difficult doom tower waves just because he allows everyone to cycle abilities much faster.
Personally counting the ramantu missions as the wall, I've already eaten so many affinity champs that i could have used for secret rooms. If i had planned it from the start and kept 5 of each affinity for that purpose maybe i'd do it, but as it stands no shot im doing it on this account
Filling the Void is the only summoner pull I really care about to watch as it matters unlike "broken most wanted champ" for someone that already has dungeons at speed of 10 turns
you could pick 5 spirit etc as you go and once you start building them they are locked in forever and you only get 5 and you can only use 1 or 0 non voids in content all voids are available? and how far you get without using a non void could equate to the competition points. or you can only have 1 of each other attribute at a time. SORRY FOR THE BOOK LOL
