2016 GMC Sierra Muffler Delete

Removing the 23 lb. muffler and replacing it with 3" straight pipe. The butterfly valve was left on but locked open with a hose clamp. The resonator was also left in place.

If you truely want a mean sound, cut off resonator. Will sound like a beast. I did that to mine and I couldnt be happier.

MacDaddyKO resonator and muffler. Gives it a mean sound.

Awesome. That what I wanna do. How hard was is it to get to the resonator? And I'm thinking about clamp ons cause I'm lazy

MacDaddyKO It looked easy. any muffler shop will take both off and weld pipe for about $100 or less.

5.3? Sounds better than many of the others. Is that because you clamped the flapper valve open? Less poppy at idle.

More than likely thats why it sounds better the flapper without the muffler sounds terrible
