Hello my friend! I am glad you appreciate this very humble contribution; actually, nobody knows who built these gigantic polygonal walls, which are scattered all over the main centres in this area. Historiography has not yet managed to clarify who, how and in what way built these marvels; there is a tendency to post-date their construction to historical times, when this area was by then occupied by Oscan peoples, in particular the Ernici, but it is spoken of from the 4th century B.C. onwards, and to be honest it seems too recent a date to me. The Etruscans colonised Campania further south, after the Liri river and as far as the Sele river, so theoretically they should not have arrived in this area here... But it is all very nebulous, and lost between history and myth....
