❤ it! Glad that you had one GEM 😊 I have the same thoughts about the order of cards when sending in multiple copies of the same card. Sometimes I just put them in different submissions orders but I think you did the right thing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 🙌 I’m really glad (lucky) I had one gem too. I just sold it a few days ago…pretty happy with the profit on that one :) I appreciate the comment!
So glad you tested this I have always thought about the same exact strategy. I also think about this sort of thing when a submission is cards from all different sets, rather than an order of cards all from the same set.
I definitely think about that stuff too. From my experience, I've noticed I get better grades when I break up large amounts of cards from the same set into different orders. Thanks for watching, and the comment!
Little victories with the FTW Jedi Mind Tricks. Thanks for sharing bro. Never would of thought of this strategy. All of your tips and tricks videos are gems to the average Joe sports card collector! You’re goated for that brother 🔥
Another great video bud! I love the mind games you try to play. Ive always done the put the best one last. I do mix up some of my order as well with putting the best cards in random spots. Who know if any of it matters. Congrats on the 10!! SSSSSSSSSSSSSCCCOOOOOORRRRREEEEE!!!
Brilliant thinking. I think the 150 is well worth it, considering you have 5 chances at a gem mint (although realistically like 1 to 2 chances like you mentioned). Normal gambling (sports betting etc) would not give you those odds or the subjectivity factor. Great video once again! -Zooks
Whenever I used to collect Jordans and wanted to start my business, my friend said the shoes will always be there and he was right. I sold my whole collection to start my business. Then once my business started making money I just re-bought those shoes again and it’s the same thing with cards sell that Barry Sanders make that profit and keep flipping that money Because that PSA 10 will always be available to buy once you get that extra money. not saying you don’t have the money but I’m saying the extra extra when you have that money
Love your content, I was wondering when you buy from COMC how do you figure which cards to pick up? Do you use certain filters, etc? There are just sooo many to choose from.
Thanks for liking my content! 👍 So on comc I actually search by seller. There is a page where you can see the hottest, biggest, sellers and I usually just click on them and scroll through their stores
Suppose you had a few 1989 Score cards, ie 5 Aikmans, 5 Deions, 5 Barrys. Would you send them in one PSA submission together, or break them up into different submissions?
Have wondered this for modern cards with 5-20 copies... What has been your experience breaking the cards up between different orders? Strategies vary from placing it behind a clear 9 card, doing 2 per order, splitting up between orders, and including all in one order. Thoughts?
Good questions 👌 From my experience I’d say placing after a clear 9 is a smart choice, and if you’re submitting more than 5 copies of a specific card then go ahead and split up into more orders. 5 or under I would place consecutively in one order 👍
Awesome video and congrats on the 10! Wondering if you would share what service level you used and what you listed as the declared value for each card on the submission? I've always wondered if the declared value has any influence on the grade?
Thanks! 👍 And I have no problem answering that for ya. I sent them at the Value Bulk level ($19 per card, $500 max declared per card). And I put a declared value of $300 per card. I felt that was a reasonable assessment as a whole if one happened to gem 👌
I’ve thought about doing this many times thanks for confirming it works! Do you think cracking out SGC/BGS 9.5s has an even better crossover to PSA 10 rate? Or do you think PSA 9 to PSA 10 is even better? Appreciate u just subscribed to your channel 💪💯
I’d say at an equivalent rate 👍 So definitely consider SGC/BGS 9’s and 9.5’s when trying this 👌 It’s more about the quality of the card inside the slab you’re planning to crack. Really inspect the card to see if it has a true shot at a 10. Thanks for subscribing!
I wonder how many 9s have been regraded. I’m sure some is random chance but also if original prep was bad like they left a mark and then you cleaned it you’ll get the bump too. How do you crack your slabs? Thx for the vid
Probably both cases equally 👌 In this case, it was just random chance since those Barry’s didn’t need any cleaning (common to that 1989 score card stock). As for cracking, I’m old school and crack at top of slab using a pair of pliers wrench and flathead screwdriver to pry open 👍
I list 20% over comps usually, but I always include a best offer option 👍 That way I usually can accept offers close to comps when I feel like it 👌 This is a card I’m not in a hurry to sell, so I’m happy with starting it at $1550 with best offer option, and if someone offers $1375-1400 I’ll probably take it
congrats on the hit, and thank you for another awesome video! such a cool strategy. also, a question: when you send the old psa labels back, do you just send them in a pwe to the same receiving address the subs go to?
This is what I do. A couple years ago I bought a Kobe Topps 138 PSA 7, it had finger prints on it. I cracked it, wiped it down, sent to psa and came back a 9.
Great strategy.. I'll have to look into that myself. It's crazy the price discrepancy between some 9's and 10's. I guess you have to look for Strong 9's. So.. is it purely a numbers game, or are all those resubbed 9's not going to ever get resubbed?
The price discrepancy is so crazy! Keep an eye out for cards with huge 9/10 value swings, and use them for this strategy 👌 As for the ones that got mint 9’s again…I’ll scrutinize them some more and keep one or two that I believe still have a shot at a 10. And just sell the rest 👍
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 I've been looking, here and there, for similar cards and I think I've found one. It's not 12x like the Barry, but the 1992 Bowman Mariano Rivera sells around $650 for a PSA 10 and the PSA 9 is about $75-80. Still 8x.
I haven’t noticed any process to detect non-serial numbered cards that were previously graded. Seems impossible to do 😅 I try not to re-submit serial numbered cards again to the same grading company though
Why is the Score more desirable than the Topps rookie? I personally like his Topps card better because he's in his NFL uniform, plus Score has always been the "cheap" brand.
Fair question 👍 I’m thinking cuz it was Score’s first year making football cards, and they made less than topps for that particular year. And I checked the psa pop report, and there is about 3x as many topps psa 10 Barry’s compared to Score. About 6500 topps and 2200 score 👌
Also the Topps is in a traded boxed set so not pack pulled. I remember Score was harder to find in stores you really had to go to a hobby shop back then and prices of packs were marked up and limited . Score may be a cheap brand now, but until 1989 upper deck baseball me and my friends viewed Score as a better quality card with 1988 baseball and 1989 football. They had those little sportflics inserts instead of gum no wax stains like with Topps.
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 I’m definitely going to use this tactic for the future but right now I have 18 more cards I’m sending in to get graded and I just sent 11 in earlier today so this should be fun and interesting and also I’m thinking of making a UA-cam channel for cards
Depends on whether there is a good PSA special or not for the month 👍 If there is a good one…then probably 275-300 cards a month. If not, probably around 100 a month. Thanks for watching my channel 🙌
I’ve thought about implementing this strategy many times lol especially with Jordan PSA 9s thanks for confirming that it works ! Question would you say cracking out SGC/BGS 9.5s have an even bigger PSA 10 rate? Or do u think cracking out PSA 9s is better? Appreciate the content just subscribed 💪💯
what level were the cards resubmitted at? Do you ever wonder if the new grader of the cards sees 5 minty Sanders rookies and asks himself -- why weren't these already submitted, and therefore he assumes they are resubs, and doesn't want to give any a 10? I know you got a 10, but this always crosses my mind when I see people resubmit high dollar cards, especially multiple copies of the same card. With these 5 cards, I am guessing you didn't really see much difference between the 5 cards, and the grader most likely didn't either, but just decided to give 1 of them a 10?
I sent them in Value Bulk $19 bucks per card. I included 15 random cards in the order too. I’ll reveal those soon 👍 I did notice a difference in each of the Barry’s. Each had their own little flaws, except for the #4 slot one. That one I truly felt deserved the 10. I wasn’t too worried about the grader wondering and figuring these were resubmitted. They see so many cards every day of their life…I don’t think they look too deep into things anymore most of the time 😅
People are still ripping 1989 score plus tons still ungraded. Even if the thought crossed their mind which it probably does because people been doing this for a decade, what can they do? I’m surprised you submitted all the ones you knew would fail at a 10

Fun video! I like the 'old school' grading strategy, seems a bit risky for most, but you're the guy to do it! Thanks for sharing!
Definitely risky, but it’s the type I love taking 😃 LMK if you think of a good basketball card candidate to try the strategy with for another vid 👌
