I’m actually quite fond of ‘dead’ games.
Whether playing a new or old game, I’m usually the person who has learned the rules and is providing all the figures/components. Most of my gaming is done at home as well, rather than clubs or tournaments.
So if I decide to drag out something old like Sedition Wars or Dreadball, that’s what we’re playing. Often my friends have never seen these games and we have fun playing something new to them.
That's just like me!

Lots of the units in the recent slaves to darkness were warcry warbands which felt thrown on there for convenience. I'm assuming this will not be the case in the next army book as most of those models have now been retired.
I'm still surprised at the Dark Elves thrown into the Cities of Sigmar book!
I already knew you were going to say "no" but I still clicked. The web is so full of rumors, purposefully controversial speculation, and actual news that it's impossible to keep up without just clicking on whatever from time to time and checking in with all these random sources. Not to mention companies and people frequently retcon what they previously said, and it gets difficult knowing if you're remembering they're changing their story or if you're just going crazy.
Basically, the internet is bollocks. 🤣

I don’t play age of sigmar. I don’t know why people assume their models would be compatible anyway. They seem to be two different games.
When I play other games like infinity, I don’t expect every model I buy in board games to be usable in infinity.
They did give Warcry warbands Age of Sigmar stats so you could use them in that game. But I really wonder if many people bothered. In any case, the fact that they're phasing out old models doesn't mean the game is going to be phased out too.
Absolutely true. There are plenty of us still playing Space Hulk and GW have ignored that for 5 years. Apart from teasing us with Gallowdark?! I still haven't switched from Kill Team 2018 and no-one from the games police has come to my house to make me use symbols instead of measurements.😅
I still play Battlecars and that came out in 1983 and was never re-released!
Have to say, I have not been able to get hold of any Kill Team big boxes for last 5 releases, and have now abandoned GW, and started Dystopian Wars, no problems getting things, and a better game in my opinion. A big fan of your Dystopian content, many thanks.
There are SO many great games out there, personally I've never understood the desire to play GW games to the exclusion of all others (even if it probably does damage my channel's views because I insist on being eclectic in my tastes!).

Well, it gets difficult and expensive to find, and there's never anything new for it. But if you've got it already, it lives forever!

I don't know. Firstly those stupid new AoS elves in the new Warcry Box are very, very clearly made for AoS, not Warcry. GW do not follow a "we want you to buy the new stuff" policy unless there's a very specific "internal politics" reason. The original / not even that old warbands that were cut from Age of Sigmar should have quite snugly remained as a Warcry only product. After all every warcry band is pretty different to the next and VERY down to personal taste. MAYBE those kits will return with a new edition of Warcry.
A warcry band made 3 years ago may be the only band a NEW player actually likes. Even GW aren't stupid enough to think their customers will just buy whatever they release (other than space marines), miniatures are very personal which is why it's unlikely they pulled those models to "make room for new ones" unless they were selling badly: which they probably were, not because they were bad models but because they charged insanely high prices for them and made them "direct online only" which means no discount.
Again my friend, just all speculation. Companies make decisions based on a huge range of factors, and sometimes they're smart and follow logical rules, and sometimes they're incredibly stupid and follow no logic at all. Guessing what they're thinking just seems a waste of time to me.
You're right that they probably pulled those minis because they were selling badly, but that probably just means they were selling badly (for any number of reasons). Games Workshop has always been the cult of the new, as the many people who freak out about not keeping up with their latest stuff attest. Time actually HAS proved that people will buy whatever they release!
My point is, we have no way of knowing the whys or wherefores, so why both making videos about it, or watching those videos?

I really almost never watch other people's channels, as - here it comes, I'll get lambasted for this - I find them very boring almost all of the time! But then I sometimes find mine boring on the very rare occasions I watch them later. NOT my battle reports though, I still think they're the most entertaining on the internet! 🤣

Thank you for criticizing those stupid clickbait polemic videos, and making a parody of them yourself, this is amazing. The top Warcry video is about that now, and I hate it.

Its lowest common denominator, simple as that. If nobody or very few people know the facts on a subject, then everyones opinion and speculation has equal merit. Its why conspiracy theories have such traction on youtube

If you play GW games, you know that it's only a matter of time before you wake up and find out an army you own or a game you play is obsolete and all the time and money you spent on it was wasted.
That's also why the advice of "just buy it and enjoy it" doesn't work for some people as the anxiety of the inevitable cancelation is worse than any enjoyment. And it's also why these types of videos are so popular as many people are living in fear of that day.
Gee, that must be terrible, I'd hate to have such anxiety about my gaming hobby. Or what's worse, watch videos that fed off that anxiety and didn't actually give you any answers. And yet, why is it obsolete? You can still play the game. I still play AT-43, which died completely 14 years ago. Sure, the tournament scene is a different thing, but you can still play with friends.
Evidence? Knowledge? Think before you write extreme opinions or perosnal attacks? How old are you dear...
