The Easter Journey - Then and Now

For the millions who respect the message of Jesus Christ, Easter holds a special meaning. For those unfamiliar with his life and his message the film provides an introduction, blending the historical record with the sacred sites commemorated by churches of all denominations today. Tracing his footsteps from his betrayal and arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane to the 6 trials he endured before the Jewish religious Council and Pontius Pilate the Roman Governor of Judea. We walk the Via Dolorosa, the route taken by Jesus through the city of Jerusalem, with memorials to significant events along the way, ending with the site of his crucifixion and the tomb in which he was laid before the miraculous events which followed.
