- This horde is from the ‘You Alone I Have Seen’ mission, it is late game story which unlocks horde encounters on your map. This is my first horde I took on, any before I did not bother with as I had not unlocked the encounters. This also unlocks napalm cocktails which are crucial against hordes.
I’m glad I waited till PS5 to play this, smooth 4K 60FPS it’s an underrated exclusive.

The one thing I love the most about this game is how his voice changed. It goes from calm to panic mode to anger mode, to going the fck crazy mode lol. A lot of games don't even bother to have that.

@ycl not really even on hard mode you just have to be patient. Try Uncharted 4 on Brutal mode, that shit is crazy. You die in two shots when there's like 10 people shooting at you.

play Alien: Isolation. if you die, don't blame me. if you live, you'll likely get PTSD flashbacks and curl up in a ball whenever you hear some rumbling a floor above you but it will be worth it.

This game does zombie horde right. The creepy music, the sheer panic when they start coming for you. Just well done.
It took me a little to fully get into this game but once I did it was a masterpiece. One of my all time favs
I miss this game feeling. The night and the hours spended in this amazing history and ambientation of the Oregon. The fear of the being alone in a fucking motocycle in the dead of the night while those fuckin freakers still around... and this mf sound? this "DARANDARADARAN"... broooooooooooo, i miss this shit. the agony of being exposed in this whole crazy world cuz ur in a motocycle, not in a SUV haha

This is one of those games I wish I could go back and play again for the first time . Not knowing that hordes of freakers roamed around at night was the best thing. I remember pausing the game in shock the first time I seen one lol

In the past I saw these videos and thought "Dude stop turning and shooting at them, dont u see how many they are!" but then I realised this game has a stamina limit...
Suddenly 10 times more terrifying.
It also has a time slowdown move which is limited too - those zombies run very fast and will completely overwhelm you if you ever try staying still and blasting them without activating it.
@@josephstewart2821 not true, i never used it as i felt it's like cheating. you just need to have good sudden aim and never stay still more than a sec or two
I fought this horde with the 1000 freak horde mod and oh my lord it was hard.I had the barret and the semi auto shotgun as well so I had to do it perfectly and kill the last 20 or so with my bat to finish the job and that was with bike ammo

I imagine there are much harder hordes then this one with that mod - the environment in this town is littered with explosives and choke points to give the player maximum advantage but fighting 1000 of them out in the open plains would be exponentially more difficult.
How do you have more than 300 freaks simultaneously? For me they just respawn, but never show more than 300 at the same time :(

Maybe one day. If people keep releasing gameplay videos then eventually Sony will get the message and green light a sequal.
@Dootie game was garbage 40% of the time and sold exceptionally well on two platforms only reason it’s not getting a sequel is cause Sony doesn’t want to take risks
@@gamerguy6990 Game isn’t even garbage. Maybe people just have really high expectations. I loved the game and got fully immersed. In my opinion my least favorite part was towards the end when we just kept getting basically the same missions from the south camps. It felt the end of the story was close and those missions were just extending the game and it got repetitive.

This game is an underappreciated masterpiece of the 8th gen imho. The atmosphere and world are both brilliant. The hordes are some of the best battles in any ps4 game. The story is a slow burner but character development is good and the map slowly opens up like in older gta games which I miss now.
This MASTERPIECE not having a sequel is a crime !

I spent all day in this arena. There are two holes to take advantage of. The house behind the hoard has a slide through that allows access to the roof where you can pick them off. Mine the propane tank behind the house because they run around there. Interestingly they created sufficient numbers that you will be required to make a little run to reduce the population before holing up. Even below a quarter, about 60 are left. On the run, pop stamina and health. The second hole is at the back of the garage, the house down the hill, has one door which they must come through,
as you make your final stand.
You will need to run to ammo first.

I am so glad they released this on pc, it is a really good game despite what Sony says, so sad they are not making a sequel it would have been a day one purchase for me.
Apparently it wasn't good enough as a Sony game seeing as they have higher standards which is why the sequel was canceled.

@@aturn124 the thing is that most shareholders and execs don’t care about reviews or ratings, just profit. It did decent in the long term but was the underdog compared to the other big name exclusives (bit unfair). Still sad that we probably never get a sequel but maybe bend studio makes another new ip.

You get used to it. I was scared to pick up this game cause i saw people figbting hordes. But if you plan well, it gets easier. Like this guy. I had only one strat. Hide and keep chucking all my explosives and mollly at them without being seen. Works wonders
the exasperated "yeah no problem" made me laugh. almost feel the adrenaline rush and shock in his voice.
Look at how fluid the controls are - the inventory, movement and shooting. Compared to say RDR2 which feels heavy and slow as molasses. Love this game, one of my all time fav if not goat 3rd person shooter. The hordes are wicked fun and makes it so replayable
@d R To be fair I'm trying to finish RDR2 on the PS5 which feels slightly better than PC imo. It's a beautiful game, good story and slower paced. But yes, technically Days Gone has it beat!

It’s awesome voice acting but he seems to be constantly yelling. He could be talking on the radio, “Hi guys welCOME TO MY MINECRAFT PLAYTHROUGH!”
I went back and started it all over again on PS5 this time, which is awesome. I thought the voiceover was Antony Starr, Homelander, from The Boys. Lol it's not but I do like the actor who voices Decon St. John.
I heard this game was bad so avoided it...until this week. It is super fun. The first Horde I came across was just when I was about to drop down a ledge at one of the Inaccessible Nero sites. They came running up to the ledge and I cleaned them out without taking a step. (Then never collected the ears, cuz too new. ) The Next Horde was at ANOTHER Nero site where I thought the ledge was inaccessible. Colour me terrified when they started boiling over the ledge and I actually hadn't contemplated an out.
It was a complete mess on release, really buggy & framerate was terrible. I’m really happy I waited to play the PS5 free update. Runs smooth 4K 60FPS, such an underrated game!
Same bro I avoided it like thenplague...and then I learned this might be the best zombie survival game I've played. I hope for a follow up game.

Reviewers are full of shit. They start saying something is bad (or good) and everybody just believes them, like they don't have the capacity to think for themselves. The same happened with the last of us 2, with edgy youtubers saying it sucked ass and everybody just went along with their opinions, like a bunch of zombies.

This is a damn good game. Beautifully optimized on the PS4 as much as it could be. It's a real shame there is no plans for a remake. I don't understand how it got bad rating's

I played it when it was launched on ps4, it had unacceptable performance. Story felt too shallow. I genuinely can't understand how people can like such a cliche game
I think it also suffered from the fact around this time the whole "zombie apocalypse" concept was being massively explored. Games, film, books, lots of content turned to this.

This is a truly immersive and great game. And I am frustrated that they decided to halt the sequel.
I know, it's a perfect example of idiot game critics rushing their reviews and crippling the reputation of what turned out to be a very good game once it was patched. Game has so much potential for a sequal to be even bigger and better!

Yeah, cyber reviews were ridiculous when it was so glitchy, but then they turned on it and buried it so hard that players avoided it and it is another game like days gone which is actually very good once you get past the occasional glitch.

In fact, maybe few people know, but these hordes have a fixed number of individuals. They will not respawn. Accordingly, they can be destroyed in parts. This resulted in my strategy at the very beginning of the game - I arrive at the NERO checkpoint (where the horde gets in the way and I have no desire to play stealth, which is much scarier) and shoot zombies a little, throwing grenades and molotov cocktails, I leave, then I come back and repeat until I kill everyone.
However, I ran into a problem at the sawmill, because there were too many of them, and I got tired (I killed about 300 individuals). Because of these actions during the plot task, the horde was weaker and eventually walked extremely elementary. Only then did I realize that there was no script in the game that updated the storyline horde or spawned a new even bigger one, to be honest, this surprised me very much, because in modern games they really love to make such scripts.
This game is just amazing ❤after work, home to my family fast asleep and unwinding on days gone for hours, recently just downloaded it again after a few years away. 😊
In a second game they could play into the survival aspect harder and build off of what’s already such a stunning game. The story was truly a journey and I don’t say that lightly
There is so much they could do with a second game - new mutants, bigger hordes, facing Nero and the military again. What I would most love would be defending a base against an absolute army of freakers, like thousands at once (would need better weapons but it would still be abolutely epic)
Is no one going to talk about the sound design? I like how the music changes from one zombie and gradually picks up and gets darker quicker the more zombies you run into! Pretty neat.

We've come a long way since slashing at zombie legs with a butter knife in Resident Evil 2.

Dude seriously! Im playing Days Gone for the first time rn and I’m actually from the exact area this game is based on and created in, Bend Oregon. I wish it was a triple A title, it was close. If it had the budget and the proper voice acting and story, it could have been as good as “the last of us” 100%.
This is like the reveal gameplay you wish the developers would reveal for the first time. Instead of the carefully facilitated gameplay reveal demo footage they show us.
Took me 4 weeks to do this not 4 mins due to a severe lack of ammo. Love it.
One thing I like about days gone is how deacon manages to sleep with a bat full of nails in his back whilst boozer stares at him all night

St John is the most realistic zombie survivor in any video game that I played, at least for me. The way he shouts, his frustration, calm, panic, you feel his emotions before, during and after combat. The best game zombie game for me next to RE series. Oh I also love The last of us too but yeah to me, Days Gone is the G.O.A.T.
You can also just hide in the bushes throwing attractors and explosives.
Or go into the house. But more fun running around.

This was is one of the greatest games I ever played and the first I was playing, it blew my mind. I was literally overwhelmed by how good this game was. I tried to play it as much as I can but didn’t want the game to finish. When I got to this first horde mission, I could never complete the mission. I don’t know how but I just couldn’t. It has been 3 years since and to this day this is an unfinished game for me but tonight I’ll watch this video 20-30 times. I don’t care. And try to complete the mission by mimicking your every move. Here we go…

My first horde was terrifying cause I was at a checkpoint and they all started to pour out of a train
The critics were too harsh on this game. It had some of the best zombies i've played in a video game..... and the zombies actually reacted properly to noise unlike Dying Light 2.
I can’t understand why a sequel was nixed. This game was universally praised.
I bought this game on Steam sale with “Meh” attitude, since I hate horror games, zombie, vampire, undead games.

@@morrapuler1550 dude I’m with you. Played this game first time at 60fps loved it. Replayed it after upgrading to a rig with a RTX 3070ti and fps jumped to a steady 150. OMFG it’s glorious.
I play on ps5 60fps is good to. 75inch on the wall is easy kill from the bed.

I hated this game at first and couldn't get into it so I put it down for around 8 months. Tried it a second time and was hooked, fantastic game!
Love this game! Loved it even more after realizing it's based in central Oregon where I live....before I even found out I'd be like damn that looks like my bachelor in the background! Fun playing a game based on where you live

Everybody gangsta until they face their first horde in Days Gone 😂 This wasn't my first one though. I decided to test myself early in the game and faced the cave horde near Hot Springs. I just killed a few, ran away and then kept coming back and doing the same. Mostly using just Molotovs. 😂
I find it funny that in the game when you go buy fuel from camps, they'll talk about how it's getting harder to find or there's a shortage, but there are fuel cans littered across the map and there are gas stations.
Well played! BUT, you dont have to do all of this,there is a cafe shop woth a car on front that has an alarm. Load up that cafe shop with throwables and get a lot of ammo, get into the shop, the main enterance of the shop shuts down with furniture falling over it. You can then go upstairs and get out of the upper level windows and shoot the car to get the alarm go off. The horde comes running, and you can safely light them off, shoot them, and stab them even from within the shop.Theres a glitch, which allows you to stab the freakers thru the wall! you can leverage that glitch. The freakers won't come in as the entrance has been blocked by furniture debri

I got platinum after picking it up just recently played back in 2020. Amazing game. One of my favorites.

Definitely easily one the top 5 to 10 games I ever played in my life but the #1 greatest Zombie game ever I love everything about the game the story mode movie you get to fight use melee weapons special made plant mines shoot human enemies, Wildlife animals and fast aggressive herd of Zombies go into houses grab stuff hide plus it's 3rd person gameplay view to put the icing on the cake

I kept avoiding this game because i only saw videos of shooting hordes, i thought the whole game i just that, zombie horde shooter.
But i was wrong.. This game is a masterpiece, the story, characters, voice acting.. And there is stealth too, which i didn't know. One of the best games i ever played, right up there with Metal Gear Solid, Assassin's Creed 2, Control.. If you like the Walking Dead show you will surely love this game.

Im new to Days Gone (started about 2 weeks ago) and already came across my first horde. At a Nero site (the one near the crashed death train) I missed a set of speakers and as soon as I started the generator they rushed me. I almost had a heart attack as they rushed in but due to the autosave the game reloaded right to the point where I had just started the generator and they were already on me. As anyone whos played the game knows, you arent beating a horde with a 9mm and a baseball bat. Took me about a dozen tries to leg it back to my bike and high tail it out of there. It was so annoying! Im dreading my first time having to try to beat a horde but looking forward to it at the same time!

The best method is to camp out on that little shed with a tank in front of it at the gas station because they can't get up there.
The best method is to get a shit ton of attractors , hide in a bush near the horde, throw attractors to get them all bundled up then throw frag grenades to kill them and use the napalm Molotov’s too
I have played GOW, Horizon, The Arkham Series, TLOU 1&2 and they're all big players in the PS World; but I really experienced the feel of danger and fear when fighting the first horde or finding a horde at night at early stages of the game. For me this is the best game I've ever played along with TLOU 1 and Deacon St John has deserved to be one of the greatest character's name standing among Joel, Ellie, Kratos and Aloy.
