@@rachelwindsor850 Well, this type coaster is the only one left in the world. And in whole 2020 years there were only 2 made. Chaos in Orpyland and Revolution in Bobbejaanland. Chaos got broken down since the closing of Orpyland, and never been rebuilt. So Revolution is the only one left in the whole world. + With the longest train of the world.
Revolution is one of my favourite coasters, and it's indeed unique. Sadly no one wanted an Vekoma Illusion coaster, since they are very unique and fun.
Unique is right... It's the longest indoor train, too. Of course it's wholly different with the lights off (which it normally is). Not sure why they were on in this video...
@@WeShallAttack upon closing time allot of people already leave the park. so you could be the last people there with 20 more minutes of open time.
with nobody queing you can ask staff if you can remain seated for another run.. or 2.
staff will usually ask if you want the lights on for that last run.
try it next time. just stick around till closing time.

Got the major nostalgia chills going. This reminds me of Chaos from Opryland which was sadly torn down for an stupid mall (just driving by Opry Mills upsets me). First time I ever rode it all the lights are off and it was pitch black. I remember standing in line with that voice "your time is running out". Great memories, eff you people that decided to tear it down.

Reminds you of Chaos, because Revolution is the only other version built of this model of rollercoaster.
Its quite an intense and fast roller Coaster experience. It feels different from any other RollerCoaster experience i have ever had. It has a dark and mysterious atmosphere. While going in circles you wonder what will happen next. wich feels terrifying. Because its not like any other RollerCoaster outside. And that is what i like. Anyone who think this is boring hasn't been in there.

Very efficient engineering, though it's an interesting decision to have such a long train. Do they only run one at a time? Seems like you could split it up into two but maybe they don't have the systems to manage that.
it has 30 last time I checked only chaos (wich was almost the same as revolution) had more with 40
There are two trains on the track at once, one is in the block station, the other one on the main block
Back in the early 90s I lived in Nashville Tennessee and grew up going to Opryland USA and it had the sister roller coaster "chaos" to revolution. Love that roller coaster road it at least over 100 times as a kid.Missed that park!!!!!

They should have never closed that park idk why they did closed that park but it's really sad :(

I was there weeks ago and its amazing with or without VR! This is an old but worth-to-go themepark!
Tbh i love the illusion Rollorcoaster more normal without VR cuz there are very different things in both themes from the same rollercoaster revolution goes about time traveling and mount mara (with the VR glasses) goes about volcano's and stuff and that's really different in my opinion revolution is better for me but that's my opinion ( i don't hate mount mara)

If you watch on UA-cam Video Eurosat Europa park or Euro mir Europapark you see 2 longer Helix and specially Eurosat ;-). because it have a little Helix inside the ride too.
I know..I was many times in EP and was on Eurosat..and yes this is also a long Helix too
Just so you know, this train can fit up to 60 riders and is 30 rows long. Every time I go to this park, I try to ride a different row every time. I still haven't been on all of the rows yet.

An effect that is gone thanks to the bottom projection screen being taken out is that on the last stretch of the downward helix as you re-enter the main chamber briefly, your cars were circling around that bottom screen and it had gears and other stuff going ape-shit on it, which led to the chaotic feeling of the station falling apart. To be fair, in Opryland it really only had that first season where everything (including the bottom screen) was working, after that it seemed every year an effect or two was missing or not working.
You are so right. I've been on this exact ride a lot of times now (I'm Belgian), and I'm old enough to have known the ride with the screen at the bottom as well. Exactly as you are saying, it was much better that way. Now, it just looks like a small volcanic pit...
This looks like Chaos that was at Opryland. It was my favorite roller coaster when I was a kid.

Bones on the beach is definitely one of the best soundtracks for a rollercoaster.
I love this ride, I would binge ride it when it used to be in Opryland. When it was there it was called chaos

i miss this ride at opryland the CHAOS 1989..you had to wear those cheap 3d glasses...lol...i wish they would bring it back..with a nice edm soundtrack and bad ass led's.
They did split this ride up into what you see on the vid and a virtual one with 3D glasses. Although that 3D one has quite a bit of tweaking left before it's efficient...

Looks like in the dark with the effects this is actually pretty impressive with a fairly simple concept. Would love to ride it.

I went on this ride the first time back in 1995 when i was almost 13 years old. 3 days ago june 2019 i went in again at age 36 and if i remember correctly it used to be better, it had better light effects and other stuff. When i went in last friday i don't even think those light strips on the walls that you see in the video were even working! That laser light projector was not working too. It was just very dark for the most part. Such a shame, they could do so much more with this ride by just adding more lights and videos.
Strange normally those lights have always been there but maybe it had something to do with the 30th anniversary of the ride
@@jorbennoten9536 It's a thing because of one of the people on the "main board" (Directeurs) from the park preffering Mount Mara instead of revolution. The music has changed as well for a while because she preffered the mount mara soundtrack etc... It's a mess sometimes. But with the lack of VR, it is now back to the "original" version/what you see here, with addition of some lasers at the start,before the first turn. (Outside of the station)
@@googleprofiel6814 Well, your wrong at one part. The reason they changed it back to the "Original" version is most likely with corona. What would you expect, 15 VR brills everytime dissinfecting etc... That's the reason Mount Mara is closed this year.
I noticed something too in revolution now in 2022 if ur almost at the top in the ride the lights goes off already o Lt the projection is still on and it's like ur in dark ride for like 5 secs before everything was on and i know that wanna safe electronic what's normal but it's sad :( and those circle. Lights that were moving at the walls are also gone

It’s like a high speed Himalaya bobsled ride. Chaos was fun at Opryland.

Very nice video with lights on, I've been here a few times too. I life in Holland so Belgium is not so far. The music is also good I get goosebumps when the music plays in the background and the train climbs to the top. The layout is very simple with the eternal left turn and the longest train🎢in the world.
This is an iconic indoor coaster I am disappointed that the Chaos is no longer in America.

Bobbejaanland Revolution fans layout always turn left is boring but add some illusion you get this.
Well the ride isn't boring. Its a very nostalgic ride. Because the ride had several themes and soundtracks. From the beginning in 1989 till 1999 there where 2 screens in that helix lifthill. The film that your seeing now on top was below and the film from above and below where in synch. And that created a very nice illusion. The effects when you go down where chanced many times too, but if you can do the ride in real life it is awesome! ;)
Vinny Camarats its not boring onride for sure. Turning left likes you stay in a whirl going up and down. I love this and i rode for twice last time.
One thing to point out I need to ride on a vekoma illusion even know I don't know how to get there this make me exited ok.

2 lines ( thats why the train is so long!)
The one side is with vr sets now! (See mountmara or resolution with vr) and man, it took long to get there
The resolution after all was always kinda empty, like 1/4 less then the vr one
We were allowed to just when we went to the exit, and there were spots open, do it again what actually was pretty nice of them
And the other half of the train takes a hour of waiting in a dem long lane
But its worth!

I remember Chaos (Opryland USA in Nashville) had 50 cars. If seated near the front car You could look down to the track below and see the end of the train. It’s a cool ride and could be even better with today’s technology.

This ride still exist, it's now 33 years old and it's open again! It's in Bobbejaanland located in Belgium! You should try him!
Imagine a ride like this but twice as tall and had things like airtime and inversions. Probably would destroy the track, but still a fun thought.
This ride changed a little, It's way darker and the animation ontop changed.
It also spilt up into two rides. Revolution and MountMare, MountMare is just revolution but with VR glasses.

I am from Belgium and I did that roller coaster when I was younger and I can tell that, at the beginning, it was a clock on the top and not a weird thing and you had you song of the clock during the whole ride. But for once, I'd prefer another roller coaster from Bobbejaanland, this one isn't the greatest at all

Typhoon is one of the greatest roller coaster type in BobbejaanLand but there is another thing that isn't a roller coaster but is part of the park, I don't know the name but in fact, you are lied on the belly like if you were in your bed for sure but you have to keep your hands on bars and the thing up til' 90° and you do 360° in the air as if you were going in the sky and after that you crash, I will try to find the name of the coaster

Sylvain Dubois thanks for your link! I didn't try that one last time as I made two mistakes. Firstly I shouldn't go there in summer vacation so I couldn't try every ride I'm interested. Secondly I mixed up the ride you mentioned and dreamcatcher. Hope that I have chance to go there again and get more thrill!

it's a shame the ride is not what it used to be with 2 big screens and way more cutom effects now it's just 1 screen and a bunch of weird lights. also since the films of the top and bottom screen are merged the story isn't that clear anymore...
