Leah acting so silly and Julianna's commentary was too cute! ❤
The cutest
Leah and JB's commentary voiceover was so funny. Benji you was making me hungry eating that siopao (not sure I spelled it right).
I’m hungry all the time 😂
@@BenjiManTV We know Benji, lol. That what makes you having a food channel or a channel mostly about food make sense. You truly love food and we love that.
8:20 had me rolling 🤣 😅 that was so unexpected
Leah was killing that Siopao 😂
For reals
Looks so good! Leah in her own little world and being silly is the funniest thing ever 😂
The owners are Susanna and Ken Ng. Susanna is from Hong Kong. Not sure about her husband.
After 3 decades, I finally know 🎉
I love watching your videos, I just always get so hungry!! 😩😩
Hi Benji . Try bao bakery . It’s more delicious than new town . Located at Joyce Station . You should try it .
The owner is actually the son of Newtown owners
I agree 💯.. Newtown Bakery has the best but it's sure getting $$ expensive!!
Right?!
Go to t&t or mr siopao in langley! Newtown bakery is so expensive now!
This is my neighbourhood!!! So cool to see Benji here :)
I like making them at home i get the bao flour and make my own filling! I like the red bean ones too!❤🎉
you should def try Mr. Siopao de Langley in Langley!! we always stop by before heading back to seattle! Owned by filipino couple! A must try!👌🏼
I love it ❤😋My aunt used to own a store with her specialty of siopao and empanadas
You should check out the food court at T&T supermarket. A preview of the one coming to Bellevue. I would suggest checking out the Metro town location.
Leah is so fun to watch!
Benji i want to drive up to Canada just to try those famous Siopao! 😋❤
Benji, the best siopao is made by a whole bunch of grandmothers on Hastings PINE HOUSE BAKERY!!!
$6.50 for a sticky rice dumpling ( zhong zi ) ??? I thought food are expensive where I live. Just the other day I 👀✨ and walked away when I saw one those dumpling costing $ 18 HKD ( 3.12 CAD ) 😂😂😂
Totally 💯 agree
I love New Town Bakery. I always go to the Chinatown location.
My go to order is Chicken Deluxe bun (not a fan of egg yolk so remove it) and apple tarts.
Have you tried the apple tarts? They are delicious.
Benji!! Try mei lai wah in New York!!! Its the best one we’ve tried
The fact that new town has been so popular, for so long this place has been so nostalgic. I always request going to get the bola bola, or the bbq pork. I always had my mom’s friends bring two bags from canada to leave in my freezer cause it’s so delicious!
In Singapore (where i’m from), Malaysia and Hong Kong, we eat legit bite size pieces of char siew with white rice. We call it char siew Pao here. It’s the best meal, for lunch and dinner. So far the best char siew I’ve eaten is from Hong Kong. I think you should one day visit Hong Kong just for the delicious food there. A good mix of Cantonese and mainland Chinese cuisine which I think you will loveeeee!
Here in the Philippines, the one with the barbecue flavor, we call it Asado Siopao..the one with egg, I heard you on the other vlogs, call it Special Bola-Bola Siopao, yes it is..the egg inside is salted egg, "itlog na maalat" here in pinas ☺️
My mom makes the best Banh Bao. That is the Vietnamese word for it. Its pronounced Bun Bow (like a sign or respect bow). It’s not terribly hard to make. I wonder why Benji hasn’t made it yet. The key is self rising flour. That is what my mom loves to use.
As a big fan Newtown bakery really does have the best siopao!! I hand carry a box on the plane so i can take it back home when i travel to Vancouver 😆
You should have tried the 711 siopao in the Philippines.👌
Yes, we also have a name for it in Hmong too. Thank you for making this video !
You’re right Benji. Newtown siopao is the best!!!!
It's been a while since I had Newton. Now I think I'll have to get some this weekend HAHAH
I wished this video was out last year. We were there in BC last year, it couldn’t find a decent restaurant. We did find a Cambodian restaurant that was not even near as authentic at all. It’s called Phnom Penh Restaurant.
Omg! Yes to vlogging at this location 🎉
1. Sad you didn’t see the coconut bun. A must try next time!
2. Asado is my faaave
Been watching you and Judy since the apartment days before JB and it’s so nice to see places from Vancouver in your vlogs ❤
Next time!
Bao Bakery at Joyce Station - Benji! You gotta try it!
will you try to make a siopao - the Benjis version❤
It’s a lot of steps to make them
Oh please no!!
Roberto’s in Iloilo City. The Queen Pao is the best. When you are in town, try it.
You must be in Vancouver, Surrey (by Surrey central bus station) And yes they are pretty good.
Love Surrey
Beside New Town bakery their is a good raman place called Umami ramen and grill also a pho restaurant beside it too you definitely should give it a try. And then maybe you can take the kids to Guildford mall which is about a 5 minute ride away. 😊
Surrey the land of lower class citizens. Lol.. bad rap since I was little
@@lilamk5 Depands on where you go it has been more developed over the years. Maybe you haven't gone to places that are more established. But Ya Surrey central is more of the ghetto side of Surrey. But don't judge so quickly. Come to Surrey more often maybe it will change your mind. 😉
Agree. Born and raised in Vancouver. Surrey use to have lots of shooting in the 90s. Super ghetto lol
Hi benji! You should try Mr. Siopao de Langley! Every filipinos go there to try their siopao! Lots of flavor too🙂A must try and kids approved😋❤️. Owned by a filipino couple that just opened their store early last year!🥰
okg I literally have some in my fridge it’s 12am but I’m gonna get out of bed just to eat it 😂
That made me hungry for siopao😋😋😋😋😋😋
Yum Manapua ❤
Siopao and siomai uhmmmm 😍 heaven
Have you ever had Baked buns. I try to show up with 5 dozen whenever we have a family function we all can like you said eat 3 or more...So good I have to find the location in Vancouver to see how far it is from the airport cause I am just flying in to get them. Will call and see if I can make a large order
Baked buns are delicious too! 😋
Agreed. Loved the baked buns.
The one in Vancouver is pretty far from the airport. In traffic which happens all day, it can take 45 mins or longer by car.
In vietnam we call it banh Bao
New town is the best !!!
It is!
@@BenjiManTVabove a few comments someone named the owners and wife is from Hong Kong
In samoa it's called Keke pua'a and in my opinion the best lol
Mainly made with pork and lamb. Delicious.
Maybe owned by a Chinese-Filipino family ❤
That’s what I’m thinking.
The lady in the background was speaking Cantonese probably from Hong Kong?
GOOGLE New Town Bakery then you will have answers to ALL your questions. It is definitely Chinese owned.
The side of the boxes written in Tagalog..Masarap!
Benji since you have are an expert pizza maker. Your next challenge can be to make nikuman/ siopao.Mmmmm😘
I always peel off the bun skin first before I eat! Haha
I wish you would explore Vietnamese food more. It’s good and some of it is inspired by the French. From the French war. I am half Vietnamese. There is more to the food than just eggrolls and Pho. I think you would love it Benji.
Oh Benji…did you not know New Town was Filipino? Judy’s family is always bringing it to you guys as pasalubong (souvenir)duh. Siopao is Filipino. The side of their box roughly translates to Good in Filipino, Chinese & Western foods, especially delicious Siopao & cheap too.
It is owned by Chinese people.
your ight best siopao for us,lucky we live just 15 mins from there, theres even homemade pandesal near there, maybe around 5 mins drive called Aling Mary’s, out of town people come to buy there too, if you want to buy fresh asian fruits and veggies, there is a store called Henlong which has a lot of asian foods…
Queen siopao or Dinagyang siopao in Iloilo city would probably give this a run for its money.
Leah’s head shaking at 8:06 had me rofl 🤣
Too cute
Leah was making me dizzy!!🥴 Lol
Honolulu Kitchen has goood fried manapua🤙🏾🌺
I agree! THE BEST siopao in the world..lol At least for me..😋
You should try Siopao de Langley, filipino owned!
Thanks for the tip. I would love to hear everybody’s favorite spots.
you should def try Mr. Siopao de Langley in Langley!! we always stop by before heading back to seattle! Owned by filipino couple! A must try!👌🏼
❤❤❤❤
The owners are Cantonese
Who saw the market and caters to phillipinos! Smart people!
❤
I think it is own by a Filipino Chinese Family
💖💖💖🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
NO the best one is at CHOW KING in West Covina, Ca!!!
😂😂😂
Yay
That's got to be Filipino owned, or they'd call them charsiu baos. Maybe they're Chinese Filipinos?
Clickbait! It's a matter of opinion. Not the best in the World. Maybe one of the best
❤❤❤❤
