- Today we meet the first Humanoid Robot to be made in Nigeria and the all African continent. This shows the technological advancement of Nigeria in AI and also in robots making.
Omeife was showcased at gitex 2022 in Dubai. She is developed by Uniccon Group of Companies a startup based in Nigeria - Наука та технологія
Wow! This is awesome
It's high time we begin to value and appreciate this one big Great nation.
Proudly Nigeria 💚🕊️💚
Nigeria is making us Proud as a continent. At Gitex 2022, it was the only Country that represented Africa in Robotics.
Oga stop that nonsense you are vometen from your mouth, this is Biafra man that invented this we Biafrans are talented. All hail Biafra
A mad man spotted.....always ranting on social media about an online 'country no one knows....werey

It's a start. Good work Africa
Yes it's a good start
One step at a time!
Slowly but surely.
Yes one step at a time. next time they show case it, it will be more advanced, but right now it feels nice that we are not left behind as a continent and Nigeria is making us proud
Man the same same group that made Omeife have made a military drone that can be used by our military here in Nigeria ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
God bless Nigeria nice one 👍 Nigeria to the world I love my country you guys are doing great keep up the good work
Nigeria made us proud at gitex 2022 and it is still making us proud. When time of using robots comes, we wont have to import them from Asia or Europe, Nigeria will be ready to supply the rest of the continent
@@Structon thanks
@@ngoziikemefuna500 welcome and thanks for the support. This is for sure something positive for the continent
@@ngoziikemefuna500 yo man the same lab that made Omeife have showcased a prototype of their military drone currently in development, we made a video on the same, here is the ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
I had read it from a major source before I could check it on this channel, gbam!!! Here we go
Yes man here it is. She was showcased at Gitex 2022 in Dubai but for some unknown reason the only African things that were featured from it were FinTech and nothing about Omeife. I think it is a great start for Nigeria
@@Structon wow! Anyways it's a great beginning for Nigeria,in the nearest possible future we could become the next African superpower. Watchout for Naija 🇳🇬
@@tundebakare6887 Your country has the potential, so many talented youths in that country, Ain't Nigeria already ahead of South Africa in terms of GDP?

Great start, though it needs more work but am happy because I know it's creators are already thinking in this direction
Yes this is a great start, most likely they are working on advancing it. But for now I would say it is a great start plus she has a Nigerian accent
@@Structon
Yeah, true!
@@ugoawa3171 was telling my friends about this and none of them believed something like this can be done in Africa, so I think this is a great start, we should Now expect more advanced in the robotics field in the near future on the continent
@@Structon
Exactly. It's good to see that Africa isn't lagging behind in this area
@@ugoawa3171 very true, that is the only way we will not lag behind like in the vehicle manufacturing industry, where it took decades before assembly of some brands started in Africa
Africa has come a long way. I used to think robots belong to only developed regions such as USA, Europe and Japan. Now we see a Nigerian robot.
Yo @EngPheniks well said, well said brother, there's even one from South Africa too
Always 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬God bless Nigeria
Nigeria is making us other Africans proud. May God bless it forever
@ominiekwe7241 the same Stem Focus lab has a launched a new military drone that can be used in Combat warfare. we made a video on it, here is the link ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
Nigeria will catch up always
Keep going Nigeria
That's true
Only Miguela is the real human-look , this omoife looks more terrifying. Her eyes doesn't close and open, her lips doesn't pronounce it's only up shaking.
Hehe she looks creepy? I guess they will be doing more works on her in regards to that. Although they also made a military drone prototype that could be used by the army, I made a video on the same, you can watch it here if you get time ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
Na small small. But true true she looks creepy... Like an embalmed body.
@@muonemeanastasius5649 hehe there's another one from South Africa that looks more Robotic
Very terrifying. Like a corpse. They could have just waited to perfect it..
Damn ,wazzup with your voice
Was sick sorry but will do better next time
Very Interesting
Yeeees,,,you like it?
Big win 🥇 ❤❤
This is a big win in deed
It can look african but try to make her look more professional like the young ladies working on the counter
You are right, it still needs a lot of upgrades, they said that they're working on version 2.0 so I guess they will fix those issues in that version
I wouldn't worry about this doll stealing your job
😁😁 your job is in safe hands until you see one from Boston Dynamics
🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Nigeria preparing herself to be the technology hub of Africa
Nigeria the future of Africa
@obiokuobioku4086_StemFocus again released a new military drone that they might start manufacturing soon, We made a video on it, you can watch it here ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
Need many more improvement, it still look like sigidi( artefacts placed in shrine)
😁😁😁that it looks like sigidi
Looking like who survived a serious motor accident 😂
Hehe that's a good one. but I think they improving, also they said they will be making version 2.0, and currently if you want to buy it it's 30000USD
Good work.
But why is the male voiceover sounding like a ROBOT itself?
😁😁😁 Because the content was about a Robot, so I had to get in character, robots character
@okafornelson486 Stem Focus Engineers from Nigeria did it again, now they have made a military drone, we made a video on it you can watch it here ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
All hail Biafra
I read about Biafra at school, the Biafra War
Please somebody should come and carry his or her grandma 🤣😂🤣
🤣🤣be kind to somebody's Grandma, it looks scary? Many people be saying, I tried to explain in my new video why I think it looks creepy and not like other humanoid Robots.
You can watch it here if you get time

Yo Damilola Adefarakan, the same company that made Omeifa have released a military drone prototype made in Nigeria, we made a video on it, you can have a look here
ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
Reminiscent of a mannequin with a motor in its mouth - does it have a pull string on its back?
Hehe you don't see it as a bot, but they say they wanted it to be that way, so that it can only do language stuff.
Anyways there's this new one from the same guys, they appear to be making a military drone ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
I want to hear her talk.
She talked, only that her jaws can't move but she talked,, you didn't hear? She said she was developed in Africa by the Stew Focus lab in Nigeria, and the same Stem Focus Lab made a military drone, we made a video on it, you can watch it here if you haven't seen it
ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
I thought the japanese android was creepy
Hehe meet Omeife,,we are waiting for version 2.0 of Omeife, I guess it will have more improvements but as of now they're planning to intergrade her AI into Nigeria services. Installing the voice as an app on the phone to help with translation of Languages in Nigeria for government services delivery
@@Structon Say "I am an Android" in Yoruba.
@@ibogggh2975 yo from Yoruba?
😲😂
Nigeria is doing it
My big man Sampson Ezeh, Nigeria has done it again, a military drone has been made in Nigeria by the same guys who made Omeife, we did make a video about it and you can watch it here if you get time ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
Very good, yes. But which company, who made it in Nigeria?
she was made in StemFocus Lab it is the STEM or tech wing of the Uniccon's group of Companies in Nigeria
And they have again made a military drone, Stem Focus Lab, you can watch it here ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
On dirait un épouvantail pour les oiseaux.😂
😂😂😂 soyez gentil avec le commentaire, la mise à jour sera bien meilleure
She needs some more work. But its a good start
She does, like eye movement, mouth movement, fascial expressions and movement of hands while talking, but currently I would say it's a good start
Can't you just appreciate for once which one have you build
🇳🇬 It's obvious she needs some more work, but like every other prototype creation, it would always expand into perfection and this is a good start
@@ugoawa3171 I know but the person should also say something Good he should also praise them also so that they will keep the good work because they are the first in Africa
@@ugoawa3171 that is what the person should say also that it a good start
Fools did you not see the movie I robot, once ai realise itself and it’s integrity it’s next step would be to destroy humanity…..!
Hehe that is what scares us the most when it comes to AI and robots. But as Africa, or as a Continent we shouldn't be left behind when it comes to manufacturing them
Not bad but not ready to be released
Still very far from perfection
Why does it have a lazy eye?
It needs that bionic eye that was recently launched in robots by Chinese scientists
Please what of Nigeria was it made
You asking where was it made in Nigeria? It was made by Stemfocus lab under Uniccon group based in Abuja Nigeria
@@Structon thanks
@@boluanthoniaadeniran7545 welcome my friend, I hope the new year started well

Yo Omisade, the same company Stem Focus released a clip of their Military Drone being made in Nigeria, it's fire, you can watch it here

What happened to her lips?
The jaws don't move, the lips look strange, but I guess the will be working on it more
Freeman FBI, the guys at Stem Focus have come up with a military drone, made here in Africa, have a look man ua-cam.com/video/SJZakhCeCkk/v-deo.html
😂😂😂😂😂
Don't laugh,,, it's progress,, this version was released in 2022 an updated version will be much better
Hanson Robotics made an African robot first. This is inaccurate.
Hanson Robotics is not based in Africa
I think you guys were to fast in putting this to media.. Couldnt you have waited to perfect it before publishing this thing. No man. That thing looks like a corpse. It dont matter the software and development just wait for the right time to publish things
That's well said
Total embarrassment
Hehe why?
This is like jumping grade,,we haven't really tackled the issue of snakes and monkey eating money and other issues o,,,before you no they will say robot chop money hihihihihihi
😁😁😁I get your point, we really need too tackle corruption issues. They messing us so bad. On the Good side though, Uniccon is currently not under government sponsorship.
Abeg shut up.
So places that build such don't have corruption too?
I have read through the whole article and its funny as hell!! Its not really a humanoid but a mannequin painted in black and given a face, it cannot move, it stays still, it uses an developed text to speech system created by some American engineers, the only device that this "humanoid" has its on the mouth which is an Arduino board used to make the mouth move when text is spoken. This is not breaking technology because this is nowhere near a what described "humanoid" is. This can be achieved in under a week by college students and somehow they are calling this the first "humanoid" in the world but ignoring the fact that Europe and japan did this couple of decades ago but no one cared since it wasn't a breakthrough in technology. Wait until Elon Musk presents his tesla bot and you will see what a humanoid is. But look at the bright side!! Elon was born in south Africa so Africa can finally be proud of something
Hehe yeah yo right, you can't compare it with the likes of Ameca by Engineered Arts or the ones being made by Ex Robotics in Asia but I think it is a good start for Nigeria, they might have rushed to present it at gitex but they have plans to make it more humanoid
Africans know how to pull themselves down, even if it not perfect why can't you give that credit to them so it's only when Japan do before it's something, if Africans has been trying this for long, who know where we would have been by now, nawao, come and do it,you will not do, when another person do, you describe what it is,only you goes to school of robot.
@@chidikwelazarrus4418 you guys consider ground breaking technology stuff that were done in ww2 and can be replicated by even kindergarten kids. Nigeria is hundred of years behind in terms of technology or engineering. Whatever you guys did now has already been achieved by europeans
@@bobilondon01 because the Europeans refused Africans to exercise their power on technologies due to their so called colonialism
@@chidikwelazarrus4418 thats a victim mentality, japan got nuked to ashes and look where they are today.
The future of Robotics in Africa will be disastrous to African youths. Because it will throw d unemployment rate that's alrdy getting out of hand into frenzy as it's going to do most jobs African youths could do and earn some money. Am not impressed bcus Africa doesn't need these at this time. What Africa needs nw is good leadership that will bring about sustainable development n wen we are sure of that, den we cn talk about this.
You are right about This, it could leave thousands of us out of jobs, the Robotics companies are the ones that will benefit on this. Unfortunately or my fear is, this is going to come and happen in a few years wether we like it or not, so maybe if we are capable of making our own bots it could be better
Upgrade your skills to be relevant in today's fast changing world. The world is moving, it won't wait for Africa. Also, it will be unwise for Africans to master skills that can be outsourced by Robots and Artificial intelligence. Change won't wait for Africa. Africa must speed up their learning process to catch up with the current syllabus. Else, we will be left behind. Let's wake up and think.
@@ernestamesi700 that's well said man, we will be the one to lose out a lot if we don't upgrade our skills
@@ernestamesi700 Yo my man there's another one again, made in South Africa, would like to hear your thoughts on it. we made a video on it, here is the link ua-cam.com/video/Scmqezk_UgE/v-deo.html
@@ernestamesi700that ship has sailed😊
just because you can don’t mean you have to! this looks scary wtf. and what’s the point of it ?
hehe it sure looks scary but they working on it, for now the AI works fine in doing the tasks it is intended for so now they working on features that will make her look more human and alive, like eye movement, better mouth movement, then arms movement as it talks and fascial expressions too
