I like overflow more in general but if it is something that already has a good mag size I like subsistence more for example lmgs smgs and ars I like sub more but rockets scouts and other slow firing and lower mag guns I like overflow more

@@Rnjesus386 both ambitious and overflow requires work to give you the same number of rockers as clown, which only requires you to reload, which you do with amb or overflow anyways.
@@Rnjesus386 why would you want ambitious over clown cartridge ever on a rocket? It’s the same perk but just doesn’t need a kill.
3:18 I’ve been saying this for a while. I’ve used double special exclusively since 30th Anniversary came out too, since with Forerunner or Retraced Path as a main weapon, it’s a lot harder to run out of ammo.
plus double special grants extra heavy drops, so special weapons with lead from gold are really good (learned this from a gambit player lmfao)

But the up time compared to subsistence always being useful is so low. And it’s pretty much based on rng.
In my experience, overflow is too inconsistent because of the full ammo issue, or, on the contrary, because no ammo pickups are available, so I find myself constantly doing double-takes at my mag size just to be sure whether I can keep shooting, or I have to reload. In easier activities, on rapid fire weapons, subsistence is almost always preferable, while a consistent reload booster (like alh, threat detector, or even field prep) makes for a better all-around perk just because you can spare yourself the extra glance at the hud.
This is just my opinion btw, overflow is really good as well, but I prefer it on specials / heavies because if I'm using the weapon in question, I'm gonna be picking up ammo for it anyways, but then it auto reloads and doubles the mag as a sweet bonus, which feels natural, yknow?
100% prefer subsistance, picking up ammo got so much more rare thanks to the removal of primary ammo bricks
@@eliaspanayi3465 u couldn’t get overflow to proc on primary ammo the perk only worked with special and heavies even when primary bricks were a thing
@@ADUSN Ya, but you lose out on total ammo (ex: you get around 4-5 green per pickup) and it's slower to get out and shoot your special than reloading a primary twice

I love overflow in pvp mainly for the instant reload, doubled mag size is still great lol, with how much special there is in this sandbox overflow is a top tier pvp perk imo because of how often you can proc it
I like rampage subsistence combo better, but if you don’t have rampage I prefer overflow.
Both have their places, subsis is good in lower end content where you typically use primary for most ads as they have low health, but its trash when you go into higher tier content and this is where I'd say overflow is useful cause youre gonna be using you're special or heavy to take down chunky health bars, somone might be running ammo finishers and then you can activate overflow, but that's just my opinion

After 3 seasons of grinding and countless engrams I finally got overflow frenzy on extraordinary perdition smg and it’s straight up beautiful
Subsistence is fun in lower level content when paired with a damage perk, but the only time I find it useful is when it's on Machine Guns, since they kill quick enough to have the refund actually matter, and it bypasses the long reload time, whereas primary weapons will oftentimes struggle to kill anything other than tier 1 or 2 enemies without spending half the mag or the full mag.
Subsistence + rampage on gnawing hunger or chroma rush in lowet level content
The amount of times I'll switch to my special JUST to dump a round to get overflow is ridiculous
People have asked me numerous times in raids why I’m shooting a fusion when there’s no ads to kill. I always tell them “Read the overflow perk - doesn’t work with full ammo”
I got a punching out with extended, overflow, and swash. Never would I have thought I could get 40 shots on a sidearm. This sidearm changed how I viewed sidearms and I love it.
I have subsistence on my gnawing hunger and overflow on my summoner. I don't use either of them a ton anymore, but during that 600 meta, I basically would just keep shooting my gnawing hunger and never had to reload when dealing with trash mobs. It just keep reloading and you don't have to look for ammo anywhere which is kinda nice.
Cool video and all but can we please talk about how that man has more kills on his trinity ghoul then I have on my entire account? I did the math so you wouldn't have to, he would've needed to kill 43,434 enemies a day since catalyst completion, which didn't even become available until Arrivals.
On the Glaciocasm I got subsistence and slideshot with reservoir burst and subsistence glitches a lot and won’t proc reservoir burst A LOT! I think it’s that little delay where it’s putting the round back in and it doesn’t register in time

I think it depends on the weapon. I prefer overflow on autos and smgs while subsistence is good on shotguns and fusions

glacioclasm is a great pvp fusion with under pressure high impact great range, the charge time definitely sucks but you can play around it
It's a fusion. You can easily kill multiple enemies with one bolt which procs subsistence and reloads the weapon to max without even doing anything. This intern procs reservoir burst.
That helmet is not the only good looking titan helmet and you cannot say otherwise

for SMG's overflow is always better
for auto rifles i'd rather use sub but sub is just not good in higher content where i'd rather have a primary that would help me against champions more, like i run an ALH vorpal auto for certain gms or solo master/legend lost sectors.
for trash lower tier content i just run SMG because they feel way better than autos, so i use overflow lol
for scouts i like rapid hit way more than overflow or sub.

Spop is cappin. Subsistence only works when you’re getting kills with your primary. That’s rarely the case in GMs where you’re using your special/heavy to clear adds. So overflow is better in endgame. Subsistence slays out in public events.
I personally like subsistence better, since it's a better perk for ad clear. If your talking boss damage it would be slideshot but even then you still need to take the time to charge up a shot and slide, making the damage bonus not worth it when you could just constantly shoot or even use a rapid fire frame.
Edit: banshee is selling a god roll cqc shotgun, it may be the same exact roll sweat got actually.
I do have to disagree that that's the only good looking Titan helmet. I love that helmet but I also think the first Trials helmet for Titan is amazing. And yes overflow is better than subsistence imo doesn't require a kill to proc an you just dump a special shot to keep having it proc if your special is full.

Overflow > subsistence and it isn’t even close. Although, they should fix the bug with overflow where if you reload and pick up a brick at the same time after the reload you’re back at regular ammo.
The way I see perks like these is how much uptime they’ll have. Overflow depends on RNG so you could go like 3-5 minutes without any drops. subsistence you get skill you get more ammo plain and simple plus I think it’s better for ad control. I really don’t know how people would take overflow over subsistence, outlaw, rapid hit especially since primary ammo doesn’t drop now.
Because of higher level content. You don't need to care about what you have in normal content but with master and GM content, that is where subsistence goes to die. With how much damage those enemies take, subsistence doesn't give enough back for how much you put out.
I'd take rapid hit over overflow easily, however I'd never take subsistence or outlaw over overflow. I pretty much never keep copies of weapons with different perks because of vault space, so having perks like outlaw or subsistence which are only really great in lower level content is kinda pointless and a waste of space, especially since lower level content is so braindead easy that I don't NEED optimal perks for it anyways.
ammo drops havent been raw RNG since destiny 1, its just been an arcane and nonsensical mechanic based on kills with ammo types
I used to rock an Overflow/Swashbuckler Dire Promise for the longest time with over 11K kills on it. Needless to say that I love having Overflow on primaries, despite it not being god tier in endgame content. I still have two Subsistence/Rampage Adept Palis that I rock in low-tier content, but I would still prefer Overflow instead. I’d only take Subsistence if it’s the only good reload perk on a weapon, IMO.

Any gun I have Subsistence on I will likely not take into a GM, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna take Overflow over it any day. When it comes to GMs, I'm generally stuck as the Champion "balancer" in our fireteam. One guy runs for one champion, one for another, and I run for both in case one of them eats it, and I just support them. I'm not a dmg-dealer unless they want me to.
Yeah PSA do Corrupted Tartarus 3 times on all 3 characters. You can get god tier armour, unless you’re unlucky like me and get weapons like 75% of the time
And if you run out of Corrupted Key Codes then just head into the thrallway

the build you're using is just the most simple good build that works in anything. most are better for 1 part of the game and some are insane for every part in the game

I think Bungie is gonna remove the orbs on mw weapons. Bungie mentioned something about it themselves and apparently that's what is using all the memory on weapons so they can't add a 3rd perk or anything else. I can see it becoming an armor mod in the future. Bungie doesn't like that exotics need a catalysts to make orbs and that alone can make or break a primairy exotic. But I for one like it as I don't have any open spots on my armor for an orb on multis mod. No spots OR energy left on either my endgame pve or pvp builds. If they could make it intrinsic or a menu option then that's fine but unless they add more armor mod slots(like the Dungeon artifice armor) and increase energy to like 15 most of us simply won't have the room for a multi mod in their builds despite orbs being essitional to almost every build(taking charge and protective light or high energy fire for pve and pvp respectively). Maybe a class item mod that costs 1 could work but even then it messes up some builds. Every other armor piece is too crowded as is. And catalysts making orbs are some exotics' only benefit from having a catalyst and taking that away will make them absolutely useless.

hunters are decent in pve either that or my lfg friends sucked because I put damaged everyone on master templar challenge as a hunter even tho they were thundercrash titans and warlocks
For me I just have absolute dog shit luck so when I try and make use of overflow I get no ammo drops at all.

You cant really compare these two perks because they do different things. One gives way more in the mag when picking up special. The other refills a portion of your mag after a kill. Overflow is better in PvP and sub is better in pve

Sub is good with high damage perks like ofa which multimach but rampage doesn’t IMO have a enough damage to justify using sub over overflow
Subsistence is borderline broken when you accompanied it with rampage auto rifles or reservoir burst fusion, other than that overflow vorpal is the way to go. Still, you should save some subsistence just in case if Bungie decrease the bricks drop rate in the future. On the side note, that CQC-12 was almost a god roll had you rolled into trench barrel or vorpal.
I like both overflow is definitely a good substitute for substance but substance is better (in my opinion) due to the fact that more adds I kill the less I'll have to reload along with I don't have to scout for special or heavy bricks to proc overflow I just have to get a kill
Exactly it’s more inconsistent than subsistence is and also relied on rng. What if you don’t have special spawning in? Then your pretty much wasting a perk slot. Also I like to know how much ammo I have I don’t wana be in a situation where I don’t know how much ammo I have left. Since overflow is more inconsistent

Honestly it depends on the weapon type. On smgs I like overflow much better. On LMGS I like subsistence better. But overall I still prefer overflow.
