Thanks Akshat, this is really valuable information but I think you missed one part here when it comes to the actual value of 1Cr. After 10 years it's actual value will be approx 50 lakhs if the inflation is taken into consideration as India's average inflation rate is around 6-6.5% .

I think even investing in mutual funds you can get a very kickass returns if you time it well there are lot of mutual funds which has given 18 to 25 percent CAGR which is huge so for example if you want to take exposure in small caps companies mutual funds will be the best bet according to me because your risk is massively diversified and good small cap can give you anything between 20 to 25 percent and if you can time it somehow than it will be ice on a cake

Hi Akshat, Not sure if you're reading my comment but really love your informative videos. I use a different strategy. I try to churn our 10-15k on an average from the stock market and invest that money in mutual funds. Most good mutuals easily give a 15%+ return themselves. It's beyond the 18% mark where they usually struggle
for 1 cr inflation need to keep in mind too...there are multiple mutual funds/ETFs gives 20/25% returns so need to look at it too.. previously i used to be fan of nifty based mutual funds...
Sir one humble request to you that share atleast screenshot of a portfolio so that as a beginner there will be an idea regarding investment. Like how much share should be present in a portfolio under 50k or 1lac budget and how much weightage should be consider for a particular stock. Please make this kind of video. @@AkshatZayn yep adjusted inflation cagr talk about that , but you should also go on to talk about why the current market isnt overpriced with P/E ratio 31.33 for an economy which shrunk last year and having growth rate forecast of 9% and somehow becomes a reasonable investment then a home when it also have almost same P/E ratio.

Observed , and in practice , by trading iam booking minimum profit , but in holding a pick of stocks and shuffling according to market for a term of 6months to 3 years is yielding good returns ,not interested in MIS ,intraday , trading in CNC only in 20 % of my allocated money ,others long term investment

Don't degrade Mutual fund investing they give investing discipline to one's financial life and can start investing as low as 500 rs per month where 8k per month earning person also can enter In to equity investing
What he did was far from degrading mutual funds, he said that in an ideal scenario when one wants to enter the stock market they should start investing directly to get more returns. If that is not possible (as it was in my case - I was afraid of the market), then surely go ahead and invest using mutual funds as they provide 10-12% returns which is quite okay for beginners. I started off with mutual funds and after about a year I felt confident enough to start with direct portfolio investing using smallcase.

Mirae Asset Emerging blue chip fund that has given me 22% annualized return since 2014 and from past 2 year I am investigating in PPFAS flexi cap fund since as per record they have given consistent 20% annualized return since inception. So you can't say all MF can't give good returns...I do agree if you have knowledge direct investment in stocks gives better return
